Villa in Alethriko, Larnaca, Cyprus - Cypriot Village Location, 10 Mins to Beach, 15 Mins to Airport

The villa is in a lovely Cypriot village, rural enough to be a lovely relaxing break, but close enough to the town of Larnaca, the coast & the airport to give access to all that is needed. We fell in love with the area many years ago and this is our second home which one day will be hopefully our main home. The whole village is within easy walking distance. The 4-bedroom villa easily sleeps 8 persons. It has a sheltered private pool, and as back of the house is south facing, the pool & extended sundeck (we put decking in) get the sun from early in the morning to its very last rays as it goes down. It is fully equipped to a very high standard with TV, DVD and WIFI internet access. The whole villa has remote controlled air-conditioning as well as ceiling fans in every room. There is also a car port which can be used for day time shelter from the sun, but also is often used for evening dining, where citronella candles can be used to ward off any insects. 2 minutes walk away a children's playground. A 10 minute drive will take you to the nearest beach. Whether you want to laze by the pool or discover the delights of Cyprus there is plenty to see and do for everyone; visiting historical sites, amazing flora & fuana, walking in the Troodos mountains, cycling, horse riding, water sports & much much more.

Above all the food is amazing, and everything is great value.

Beautiful villa - the photos on the internet did not do it full justice. Great location for exploring the Island. Had some great BBQs. Sirloin steaks were really good value here. Loved our time by the pool and would recommend the villa to anyone.

It was perfect, only 20 mins from the airport, lovely rural location, with another nice little village only 5 min drive away. The villa itself was superb, Phill and Sarah had thought of everything, even down to picnic stuff! It was very clean light and airy, beds were very comfy too, the pool was just right, there is a great covered area with a table, perfect for having lunch in the shade. Plenty of chairs and loungers too, we could not fault anything. Becky & Phil, UK.

We had a lovely family holiday at this superb villa. Only 15 mins from Larnaca Airport in a lovely unspoilt part of Cyprus. Quiet location with a few typical Cypriot restaurants nearby. The villa had everything we needed and is of a high standard. We were very impressed with the amount of equipment in the kitchen. WiFi was a bonus to look up places to visit. Mike the manager was extremely helpful and recommended some lovely places to eat. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa.

We love Cyprus because of the beauty of the island. There are some beautiful beaches and the marina boasts a great range of bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone on this island. The area is easily accessible with Larnaca airport just 15 minutes away. Everyone who has stayed has adored the place.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Larnaca at 13 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Village tavernas at 1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Mazotos at 7 Kilometres Car: necessary


There are many beaches along the coast below the villa, it takes 10 -15 minutes to drive to these, with the nearest beach being at Mazotos.

Larnaca also has its own beaches, 20 minutes drive away, including the well-known Mackenzie beach which has many restaurants including fantastic fish restaurants.


Larnaca International Airport is only 10 - 15 minutes from the house, serviced by many airlines, including from the UK - Easyjet, Monarch, Jet2.com, Thomson, Thomas Cook Airlines & Aegean. Additionally Paphos airport is easily accessible along the A5 highway in under an hour.


Alethriko village centre is a short stroll away with a coffee shop, bakery, take-away, supermarket, petrol station. church and two local tavernas. For those who enjoy walking there are tracks leading up to the top of the hills of the valley to admire the breathtaking sea view to one side and the panoramic views over the valley on the other. Surrounding villages of Kiti, Pervolia, Anafotia and Anglisides have an abundance of amenities and restaurants/tavernas to offer and the nearest beaches are only 10 minutes drive away.

Alethriko is an unspoilt village surrounded by beautiful rural scenery. Two excellent local tavernas are perfect for family dining, situated within walking distance of the villa – these offer a range of meals including typical Cypriot meze dishes - all at very good prices (far cheaper than the UK!!). (A good range of eateries is also found in various towns and villages including Larnaca & nearby Kiti which is on the coast).

Alethriko also has a bank and a petrol station, as well as a bespoke jeweller in the village. The petrol station, when not fully open, has 24 hour self service facility using a credit card.

Food shopping.

We would recommend the following:

The village of Anglisides is the next village, 3 minutes from Alethriko, in the opposite direction from Larnaca. Here you will find an excellent butchers (which is open every day, including Sunday morning - in 2015 we are paying half of UK prices for fresh meat), a substantial bakery (open until 22.00 every day, situated opposite the butchers), two supermarkets & a fruit & veg shop ‘Fruit Land’ (next door to the Smart supermarket).

As regards larger supermarkets, there are a number in Larnaca which is 10 – 15 minutes from Alethriko, including Lidl, Carrefour and AlphaMega (the latter stocking many Tesco lines at similar prices to the UK).

A beautifully appointed holiday villa in a picturesque little village only 20 minutes away from the lovely marina at Larnaca. The villa boasts the best location on this lovely development for sun worshippers (like my good self!) as we get the sun from sunrise to sunset and it also has some beautiful views over the valley. I am addicted to cooking and like nothing more than rustling up a feast every night so as you can imagine the kitchen has everything you could think of, even a pestle and mortar to the great amusement of friends!!

  • Notes on accommodation: Welcome pack available on arrival. Our property managers, Mike & Michelle, who are English, live near by and are always on hand to help and advise on local tips, directions etc. They will ensure handover of keys on your arrival and assist you generally. Their contact details will be given to you once you have confirmed your booking. Outside: Private pool (7m x 3.5m). Bathing area around the pool, together with raised decking area. The house borders onto an open field. Extended outdoor dining table with 6 chairs. Chairs from the two balcony sets can also be used to give seating for up to 10 persons. Gated driveway suitable for two cars, together with car port, which can either house a car, or be used for the outside dining. There is also plenty of on-street parking as the villa is at the end of the road & faces an open green/children's playground area. Charcoal barbecue. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels including pool towels are provided. High chair and travel cot (bring your own cot linen). For those staying longer than a week, a mid-stay clean can be arranged. Other: The villa is fully alarmed. The pool/garden area has substantial decking for relaxed bathing. The villa is next to a field and a lemon tree farm giving superb views across to the historic monastery situated on a hill in the distance.
