El Corralon is in the heart of Los Romanes, a peaceful village of white houses overlooking lake Vinuela. Tucked away in the corner of the village square, the property opens out into olive groves in the spectacular countryside of the Sierra Tejeda. Relax on any of the 3 terraces. Cool off in the mosaic tiled pool. Have fun with your family and friends with a barbecue under the spacious, Moroccan style, shaded, alfresco dining patio. The house has 2 sitting rooms, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. There are 5 bedrooms; two doubles (one en suite) two twins and a single. There is a wet room and a bathroom. The exterior is tastefully dressed with potted plants, flowers and palm trees. Los Romanes is 45 minutes drive from Malaga. Grenada, Seville, Cordoba and the Sierra Nevada ski resort are within a few hours drive. The Costa del Sol can be reached in twenty minutes. Activities to enjoy include horse riding, walking, cycling, watersports, climbing etc, are all popular. Free wifi.

Really lovely villa, with everything you need - and expect - for your holiday abroad.

Arrangements all went smoothly, next door neighbour (Chris) ready and waiting for our call. We were a late arrival (2330) and Chris had done a quick shop for us (pre-arranged), so we had some food and basics (wine!). The villa was really lovely. Gorgeous pool, fab views. It was incredibly hot when we were staying (35c) and the outdoor spaces in the shade were lovely. We really liked the village, which had a couple of shops for basics, and a bar 50 yards down.The local restaurant, Miguel,was a bit too populated by other Brits for us but we had a fun evening there anyway - band playing (English!!) and a great atmosphere. Don't bother with checking out the Lake itself - though it looks so fabulous from the villa. We did, found nowhere to swim and only heard after there is quicksand and it's unsafe - someone died last year :-( Lots to visit nearby - loved Frigiliana and Nerja. All in all, a really lovely place to stay and we would recommend it. Thanks to the owners :-)

Lovely villa in the heart of the village

Really well appointed villa in the middle of a lovely village. Handy for the two small shops (get some olive oil made in the village), the bars (Paco's in particular) and you must go to the bakery for fresh bread every morning. Chez Spice also recommended if you fancy Indian food (eat in or take away)The villa had everything we could want, space, views, pool, wifi for the kids. We particularly enjoyed the covered seating area for afternoon shade and evening drinks.

Paradise!

Lovely, well appointed villa, in a rural village. Great facilities, well maintained and managed, clean, comfortable, spacious. Great pool. Amazing views. We (a couple) needed a totally chilled out vacation, and this was it. We didn't need to hire a car, two shops in village have all essentials. apart from ATM or pharmacy.

We want to go back now!

A great holiday in a very pleasant spot.

Spacious and comfortable accommodation in this village house. Stupendous views across the lake from the terrace. In the heart of a Spanish village, well supplied with local shops, bars, restaurants etc. A surprisingly lively town even without the fiesta that we were lucky to see.

The house and pool were pleasantly quiet and wonderfully sunny. Lots of nice walks around in very lovely countryside. The beach at torre la mar was excellent and Malaga itself not that far away and really lovely. Granada was reachable by motorway but you need to book tickets to get into the palace ahead of going or you end up only being let into the gardens which are quite dull despite the hype.

A really great holiday for our party of 5.

Just what we were looking for

A family of 5 with 13 yr old twins and a younger daughter we wanted some family time away from the "tourist" bit and we were very happy with what we found. Plenty of space, an interesting property and views to die for. The kids loved the pool and we visited local villages for tapas. Being in an owned property meant that there were extras like a decent bookcase and toys for the pool. It was great to have that family time without the distractions of the tourist shops and ice cream parlours. Would recommend! Thank you.

Family Holiday

The villa was just lovely, the age range of the family was from 80 years old to 11years old and we all enjoyed the villa there was something for everyone, the kids were in the pool everyday. the view was stunning and so fantastic to wake up to, we were so lucky with the weather as it was in the high 20's every day. Chris and Nikki who look after the villa are lovely and if we needed anything were happy to help.

This has to be the most relaxing holiday we have had - just what we wanted.

20 minute drive to Torre del Mar which has a large shale beach, a wide promenade with plenty of cafes restaurants etc.

Travel:

Malaga airport is about a 45 minute drive. Use of a car is essential when staying at the property.

Distances:

The property is in the centre of Los Romanes. Other nearby places include Vinuela (10 minute drive), Velez Malaga (20 minute drive), Nerja (40 minute drive), Antiquerra and El Torcal (40 minute drive).

Further Details:

There is a very good and popular Spanish run restaurant in the village and an excellent Indian 5 minutes drive. Nearer Lake Vinuela there are a further 2 very good restaurants. There are a couple of local shops in the village with supermarket, bank and pharmacy located in Vinuela. Next door neighbour is a hairdresser.
