Tina and Franco welcome you to Agriturismo La Tinaia, their farmhouse winery, located in a natural area on the beautiful hills of the Florentine Chianti region, at only 10 km from the center of Florence.

The property is at only 10 min drive (5 km) from the Tramway station in Scandicci and from there, in only 18 min, you will reach the center of Florence.

La Tinaia is located in a peaceful place right in the middle of an unbelievably picturesque area of Tuscany. The farmhouse is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and woods. All the 5 apartments are cozy, bright with spactacular hilltop views. They were restored with particular care respecting the characteristics of the Tuscan farmhouse.

Agriturismo La Tinaia is particularly recommended for those who want to spend holidays under the sign of quiet and to discover the unique artistic and naturalistic heritage of Tuscany. An holiday at La Tinaia becomes also an ideal time to taste our top quality Chianti wines and extra virgin olive oil that we produce.

Once per week we cook a typical dinner for our guests.

The large garden provides spaces for outside dining, swimming pool, solarium, barbecue, camp for bowls play. For nature lovers, there are trekking and mountain biking paths. Possibility to rent 2 e-bikes.

Tuscany tour: in less than an hour you can reach the most important Tuscany's artistic and architectural heritage: Fiesole, San Gimignano, Certaldo, Vinci (Leonardo da Vinci), Siena, Pisa, Volterra, Radda, Greve.

We live in this farmhouse and will be happy to guide you in discovering the region and help you if you need it.

Bellissimo

The property was set in an idyllic location in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. As a bonus it was only 30 minutes to Florence. Luckily Tina could speak good English and gave us several good recommendations. We had fun trying to communicate with Franco with our pidgin Italian. They were excellent hosts and the accommodation met with our expectations. We would love to come back and plan to do so in the future.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful location!

We (my wife, girls (6 & 9) and I) spent a week with Tina and Franco in their beautiful house before heading up to Venice for the second week. I could quite happily have stayed here for another week instead of Venice. The location is so peaceful with great views out to the hills of Tuscany and it’s only a short trip (10-15 mins) to get into Florence. Although Florence is very pretty it was nice to be able to come back and relax away from the hustle and bustle with a glass of Chianti which is produced on site. It’s very good too. The kids loved the pool and we were often the only ones there. The apartment was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice an airy complemented by the aircon when required. The kitchen was also well equipped. A car is kind of essential if you wish to explore the area and if going to Florence it’s advisable to drive to the tram and bus station in Scandicci where you can park for free and take the tram into the centre of Florence. We drove south to San Gimignano which is absolutely stunning. A bit further on is Siena. If you are traveling with similar aged or slightly older kids and rent a car, Cavelino Matto theme park is worth a visit. Just over an hours drive away, it’s no Disneyland but it’s cheaper and there are no queues at all! Better bang for buck than parks where you have to queue all the time. If we come back to Tuscany in the next few years I’d definitely go back to La Tinaia. Highly recommended and thanks again to Tina for being a great host!

Agroturismo La Tinaia

Great central location for visiting Lucca, Volterra, Sienna, Florence city etc Tina and Franco met all our requests for internet, more pillows and laundry even though they didn't come as standard. The pool was a great facility and well maintained. The accomodation was clean and well thought out. We will definately stay there again

A wonderful welcome to La Tinaia

My wife and I spotted the advert and La Tinaia looked delightful. We made enquiries and Tina replied quickly with exactly the details we needed. As our travelling arrangements were a bit complicated she was very helpful, always giving us contact numbers and making everything run smoothly. When we arrived the property was even more attractive than we expected, and both Tina and Franco knew just how much to chat with us and give us space and privacy. It was fascinating to discover about the wine and Olive Oil that they produce, and it is well worth trying (shame we did not have room to take much more home!). Very helpful, friendly and efficient. A pleasure to be their guests.

Tina and Franco : in our hearts we each dreamed of a place where we could live in harmony with nature. Few time after we met, we left office work and Florence city life (1998) to make our dreams come true: to live in a typical Tuscan farmhouse and to work in the Chianti land offering hospitality and producing Chianti wine and extra virgin olive oil.
On 2000 we opened our Agriturismo La Tinaia and decided to share our home with guests coming from allover the world, we also produce Chianti wine and extra virgin olive oil.

We are in the hills near Florence, surrounded by dream landscapes. We live immersed in nature but close to the city. We love life in the country but also Florence, the city of our origins.

What makes this property unique

La Tinaia is located in a small corner of paradise, very peaceful, with beautiful views of the hills, vineyards, olive groves and woods. This is the ideal place to recharge.

In this area you can find many trails for long walks or biking. Possibility to rent 2 e-bikes. Our swimming pool has a panoramic view and it is always very clean.

For lovers of art and beauty in all its forms, we are very close to Florence and the T1 tramway stop is only 5 km away (10 minutes drive). The ride to Florence by tramway takes 18 minutes. In less than an hour you can reach the most fascinating and beautiful places in Tuscany.

For lovers of wine and food, it is possible to take part in guided tastings of Chianti wine and extra virgin olive oil and buy these products directly on the farm.
