Hello dear guests, I am Linda and I'm living in Begur since 11 years. I came to live here because I'm in love with this beautiful area with those lovely beaches and the nice mediterranean climate. I'm the hostess, so when you arrive i will show you and explain you everything about the villa. Linda.
Linda Elisa Wouters purchased this villa in 2000

13.07.2013 - 03.08.2013 - Thank you Linda, we had a wonderful holiday! Everything was perfect the villa, the weather, the food and the area. The Brereton Family, The Netherlands
29.06.2013 - 13.07.2013 - Thank you Linda, What a perfect holiday in a beautiful villa. We loved Begur, it's bars and restaurants in particular: Hotel Aiguaclara, Pati Blau... But the waterparks are a must. The many beaches Sa Riera, Aiguablava and, a drive away, but Cadaques is awesome! We just can't fault a thing! Will be back! Dorothy, Brian, Sam, Andrew and Kenan from Dublin, Irland
September 2013 - Hi Linda, Many thanks for the use at your lovely villa. We have had a great holiday and will be certainly be back. Begur is a very little pretty town and the area generally is one of the pretiest in Spain. Take care Sue, Male, Janet and Steve
No complaints about any aspects of the villa which is very much as advertised and is very comfortable and clean throughout. Mosquitoes are an issue so don't forget the DEET spray. 25 minutes walk to the centre of Begur - initially a very steep hill but that only lasts for a few hundred metres. Linda was very flexible about meeting and greeting us and spent some time ensuring that we were aware of all of the facilities. Would definitely recommend this property.
The villa is owned and maintained by a lovely owner who lived in this Villa for many years. As such it is styled, furnished and equipped in a really homely fashion. She maintains the Villa very well and just prior to our arrival the garden had been re-landscaped extensively. The location is excellent in a pine clad woodland hillside, which people should note. This is a very hilly area which is both beautiful but challenging for some.
The Villa is well equipped and very clean, everything needed for a comfortable stay is there. The pool is a nice size and the garden area is nicely shielded and screen for total privacy. There are numerous separate areas to relax in so "quiet time " can be found by anyone around the Villa. There is an excellent BBQ facility that makes outdoor catering a pleasure. We were there during some very warm overnight weather and the air conditioning in two of the bedrooms was useful if a little noisy - but all a/c units can be noisy.
Over all a lovely place to stay with an attentive owner who is locally positioned throughout the summer - she runs a shop in Begur,
Very well equipped and comfortable villa
3 good sized bedrooms - 2 have aircon ; 2 good bathrooms
Lots of outside terraces to catch the sun or shade all day and pool great to cool off in
Area around pool is now stone chips as grass was difficult to grow - you need flip flops!
Can walk into Begur if you like hills but easy to park closer and walk in for the evening
A beautiful and comfortable villa, in an excellent location. All amenities in excellent working order, very clean and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. There are different areas to relax, so if you are with a group or family you are able to have some space. Linda is lovely and works really hard to keep the pool nice and clean.
The nearest supermarket is a 2 minute drive away next to Camping Begur, very well stocked with separate butchers fishmongers and bakery.
Best beach was Sa Riera
Begur is a lively upmarket town, very dog friendly with boutique hotels and lovely restaurants, and lots of little shops. Market day is Wednesday
Favourite restaurant en situ, Tothora, Pizzetta , a good idea to book, otherwise difficult to get into.
Palafrugell has the most amazing wine and drinks warehouse
You will need a car in Begur
A fabulous holiday would definately return
This villa was as good, if not better than the photos portray it. Very spacious and perfect for 6 people. The layout is great and the rooms light and airy. Plenty of room outside with at least 4 different areas to sit and have a meal. So a great villa for a family that may occasionally need some space. Pool was great. it was cleaned regularly and there were enough beds/loungers and a hammock for all of us. Fantastic BBQ in the garden too.
Yes there were some mosquitoes but we were prepared for them..
Great view from the front terrace patio where we had some lovely meals and most of our breakfasts!
There is a huge supermarket a short drive away but we found the local town Spar to be more than adequate, no more expensive, friendlier and not full of tourists.
Linda was great, booked a table for us on the first night at a great restaurant in the town.
The laundry was changed each week, the house was easy to keep clean/tidy cant fault it.
As a location the villa was for us perfect. We could walk into Begur in 20 mins. Yes its hilly but if you are reasonably fit its fine. Even when the temperature was in the high 20`s. So if you want a drink in the evening it was not an issue for us.
All the local bays/beaches are within a 10 minute drive. Pals 10 mins also.
We went to many different restaurants in Begur/Pals and we were not disapointed in any of them.
In summary if you are unfit or just don`t like walking more than 100 metres and want a bar next to your holiday home its probably not for you.
If you want a wonderfully relaxing location near a beautiful historical town and within 10 mins of countless beaches/coves its perfect. We would go back.
What a beautiful part of Spain. Begur and the surrounding area is very picturesque and the villa is in a great location for visits to all the many restaurants, beaches and coves, which are just a short drive away. The villa was perfect for our needs on our family summer holiday, with great amenities, lovely gardens and a private pool which was great for afternoon splashes, which our two boys loved!
Travel:
The nearest airport is Girona (Barcelona-Girona with Ryanair) and is 45 mins away. Barcelona is 90 mins and is also accessible by train from Flaca.
To really enjoy this area we suggest a car so that you can get out and about. However, it is not really necessary particularly in July/August when there are buses to the beaches every hour from a nearby stop.
Further Details:
There is a wide range of services in Begur, banks, tourist office, restaurants, bars, boutiques, supermarkets and local park with children's facilities. There are tennis courts and a centre for young people with internet cafe, soft drinks bar, table tennis, table football, where the teenagers of all nationalities 'hang out'. Some of the bars in the village offer internet access and there is free wifi in the centre of Begur.
