Apartment in Quarteira, Vilamoura, Central Algarve, Portugal - Very Quiet Location Near The Beach, Only Mins Away From The Centre Of Quarteira And Vilamoura

Endless miles of beaches in the area. The winters are mild and summers are long and hot. There are 300 days of sunshine and the outdoors can be enjoyed all year. The town beaches have lifeguard patrols during the summer months. Vilamoura / Quarteira is one of the main resorts in central Algarve. There is a long promenade running along the sea in Quarteira. Here you will find many cafes and restaurants serving fresh fish. It's a good place for an evening stroll or a swim in the supervised beaches. The Quarteira beach promenade begins a few minutes’ walk east of the apartment. Going in the other direction, you will find the marina and casino of Vilamoura. If you are looking for a more international crowd or cuisine, you will find it here. There are day cruises and fishing trips that depart from Vilamoura Marina. There are some Roman ruins which can be visited in Vilamoura (Cerro da Vila). Many excellent golf courses are within a 6km radius which can be enjoyed all year round.

About The Owner

I live in London but have a good team in the Algarve that make sure the apartment is immaculate and all goes well during your stay. Carolina (the housekeeper) and my mother (Ana) are your contacts in the Algarve.

What makes this apartment unique

The location of the apartment is great. If I want to go to Portuguese cafes and restaurants for grilled fish, I walk a few minutes east into Quarteira. But if I prefer a more international atmosphere and cuisine, i walk a few minutes west into Vilamoura. The location can't be beaten.

What a great place, picked a good one here for sure. Large bedroom, and a double pull out sofa if required. Place was spotless, a credit to the owner. will hope to stay again if/when going to Algarve again.

Very spacious well furnished modern apartment in very great location. within short walking distance of both Vilamoura and Quarteira, the apartment has a very large inviting balcony with great views of the pool and beach in the distance which is only a very short walk away, there are also 2 small balconies to the front of the property. Indoors is very luxurious and very comfortable with plenty of seating areas also a very welcome air conditioning system. The kitchen and bathroom are very well equipped and modern. The apartment block is very secure and has a first class pool which usually has a lifeguard present. we had a fantastic holiday with glorious weather and a fabulous apartment.

Notes on accommodation: Cot and high chair available upon request at no extra cost. Outside: Plenty of parking spaces outside comple. The pools are maintained all year round and can be used at any time you wish.There is a large pool for the adults and a small paddling pool for the young children. During peak summer only, there is a lifeguard on duty. There are showers and toilet facilities in the pool area. There are many sun loungers by the pool which you are welcome to use. In the communal area there are palm trees you can sit under for shade and large areas around the pool with grass. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels are supplied .An extra set of towels and bedsheets is provided for you to use at your convenience . It is a self- catering apartment and you are responsible for the cleaning during your stay unless you make and special requests. Other: Large south west facing terrace overlooking the pool and with sea views.You can dine outdoors or sunbathe in the lounger all afternoon. There is a BBQ in the terrace.

So whats it like ?

This was our second holiday to Villamoura, last year we stayed in a apartment on the other side of the marina which was just a bit to far to walk. This apartment however is only a 10 minutes casual walk to the marina at Villamoura and the same distance to Quarteira and the beach is just 5 minutes stroll away. The accommodation is great, a very well appointed apartment recently redecorated to a high standard, all the rooms are large with both the lounge and bedroom air conditioned. this is a really good quality apartment in just the right location and I would recommend it to anyone, my sincere thanks to Tony for allowing us the use of the lovely apartment and we hope to return soon.

Lovely apartment

Lovely apartment in great location for Vilamoura & Quarteira, met by Anna who was very helpful, the apartment was spotless thanks to Carolina(housekeeper). . Would have liked a dvd player (as we were there for 3 weeks & didn't want to go out every night) but it didn't spoil our holiday. The apartment was a really good find.

Lovely apartment, handy to both Vilamoura and Quarteira. In fact the location is awesome, plenty of supermarkets within walking distance, the beach is 5 mins away too. The apartment has everything you could possibly need, the pools are a good size. Can't fault it really!!

Excellent apartment

We have just returned from a week at this apartment and have to say how impressed we were with the size of the rooms, the facilities and cleanliness. It was also great to have a welcome pack of basic food when we arrived. Thank you Tony for allowing us to stay and the speed in which our booking and questions were answered.

Quarteira was a nice resort with numerous shops and restaurants. One thing to note is to check that restaurants take debit or credit cards before you eat. Some we found only take cash or Portuguese cards.

The only criticism of Quarteira is that dog owners don't clear up after their pets even though free bags are provided. You, therefore have to keep looking down instead of looking up at the lovely scenery!!

Such a Lucky Find

Our last minute booking for 25 days this March was such a lucky find! We felt like we had moved into a HOME. Everything was there. Carolina picked us up at the bus station. What a lovely welcome! The apartment is so bright, lots of sun, and good lighting. The heat was essential for cool evenings. The bed was comfy. Thank you!

Recycling bins down the street one block, then turn right.

Bike Rental is so much cheaper in Quarteira than Vilamoura (almost half)

Go off the waterfront and you can find good inexpensive local Portuguese restaurants.

Fantastic will defo be back

This apartment was fantastic. Apartment had everything you needed. Locatation could not be better just a short 5 min walk to marina. Shops and beach on your door step. Could not ask for anything more. Some of the time even had the pool to ourselves, our two boys age 5 and 12 both sad to have to leave. Will DEFO be back. Thanks to Carolina for being in hand when we needed her and to Antonio for making our booking easy and our holiday one to never forget.

Vilamoura beach is directly in front of the apartment and only 2 minutes away. There are endless miles of beaches in either direction. Going east of Vilamoura the beach is endless but going west you will find picturesque coves as you head towards Albufeira.


Faro Airport is 25 minutes away 20km and a car is not essential as there are supermarkets, restaurants and all facilities near the the apartment. You can walk to either central Quarteira or Vilamoura centre and marina in 5 minutes.


Faro and airport 20km. Loule market town 10km. Train station 5km. Vilamoura marina and port 0.3km. Albufeira 19km.

Further Details:

Jaffers supermarket is only 3 minutes walk from the apartment.
