Me and my best friend had a wonderful time in this apartment in Spain. It was perfect for our much needed relaxing holiday located in a quiet beautiful village with plenty of traditional bars offering some of the best tapas I've ever had. The apartment is in a very small, clean and well-designed complex with wonderful pool, amazing countryside walks nearby and a short distance away from Granada for our more active days! We found the apartment to be clean & comfortable with attention to detail, tea, coffee, a bottle of wine and a couple of beers were left to greet us and it made us feel at home immediately!

A good base to discover Granada and the surrounding area

We flew to Malaga and hired a car from the airport. The drive from Malaga to Iznalloz was straight forward around 90 minutes down the motorway. Just be aware on the way back to Malaga you can get confused and end up on a toll road!

The apartment was clean when we arrived and had everything you needed for your holiday. The complex itself is a mix of residents and holidaymakers. The pool is large but fills up with people towards the end of the day. The only criticism I could really come up with was the local teenagers seemed to congregate around the pool after dark and would make a lot of noise until late.

The views of the mountains were breathtaking from the roof terrace...we spent a lot of time up there using the BBQ and the sun loungers!

Iznalloz itself is an average Spanish town with some bars and shops. La Taberna, the bar at the bottom of the hill was our favorite. They served very generous tapas with every round of drinks. There are 2 supermarkets in Iznalloz including a large Dia supermarket. Iznalloz is situated just north of Granada so ideally located for a day trip to the Alhambra. We also visited the town of Guadix nearby (caves) and Salobrena on the coast (about an hour away).

We also enjoyed a good day out at the water park which is just outside Granada. It was the quietest and greenest water park we've been to!

Overall we had a good time using the apartment and Iznalloz as a base as there are so many things to see and do in the area.

We love going there ourselves to enjoy the pool and roof terrace and Granada is a great City to explore or just take a coffee and watch the world go by. Having such a brilliant climate does mean that the Spanish tend to be out and about later, I'm sorry about for the noisy teenagers around the pool. Great to hear about the water park, certainly something to pass on to other guests and add to the many attractions around Granada. Thank you for taking the time to send a review.

Perfect for us!

We (2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 7) stayed here for 5 nights during our visit to Andalucia.

While there isn't a great deal to do and see in Iznalloz itself, it was a great base for us to visit Granada, Sierra Nevada, Ronda and Malaga. We also managed to get to the beach and do some hiking in local national parks.

The apartment itself was excellent. Very well equipped (as described on the website), clean, comfortable, spacious and good value for money. The bottle of wine waiting for us was very welcome indeed.

The owner provided lots of useful information before we arrived and her local contacts (Cath/Phil) were also very helpful with hints and tips about what to do.

Another bonus was the underground car park with direct lift access to the apartment: very useful when lugging baggage or sleeping kids :-)

There is a folder in the apartment with lots of information about local attractions and the free wifi helped too.

As mentioned earlier, as there isn't much to do locally, you'll need a car as public transport is limited from Iznalloz.

In summary, we really enjoyed our time there and would certainly recommend it to family and friends.

Relaxing getaway

This was a lovely, well equipped apartment. We had a relaxing week and especially enjoyed the sun terrace and bbq. Even the couple of rainy, stormy nights were great as there was plenty in the apartment to occupy us.

We had a lovely time at the apartment in Iznalloz, which was well equipped and exactly as described. Three of us stayed - two adults and an older teenager and we had everything we needed. The terrace and sun terrace were both lovely with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The complex is very pleasant, tastefully appointed and very well designed. We found it to be a very relaxing place. The underground car park and lift from the car park are great features. The pool was wonderful, big enough for a good swim as well as for a splash about. We spent quite a bit of time in and around the pool. The complex is about 35 minutes drive from Granada which is a beautiful town with so many sights to see as well as the Alhambra. Make sure you book your tickets in advance. The nearby towns of Guadix and Jaen are also worth a visit, both very interesting places. We spent a lovely afternoon at the Restaurant Romero at nearby Embalse de Cubillas. The food was really excellent and the restaurant is in a lovely setting by the lake/ reservoir. There is a folder in the flat kindly provided by the owner with information on local places to visit. Iznalloz is not the most interesting town but we found everyone there to be very friendly and helpful. The owner of the flat gave us all the information we needed to ensure our arrival and departure went smoothly. The beer and wine left for our arrival was very much appreciated and made us feel at home straight away. However, if you are tea drinker we were only able to find fresh milk at Malaga! We had a lovely time in Iznalloz, with scorching hot weather. It was everything we wanted and we would definitely return.

Tres agreable

Appartement spacieux, propre avec toutes commodité . Terrasse sur le toit avec barbecue à gaz tres appréciable. Piscine tres bien entretenue. Pas de climatisation mais ventilateurs.

The coastline of the Costa Tropical is approximately 50 mins away by car, with quiet unspoilt beaches and quaint towns like Salobrena.


Granada is the nearest airport about 30 mins away by car, and Malaga and Almeria airports being about 90 mins away. Iznalloz is within easy reach of the A44 motorway which links the Mediterranean with Madrid and other parts of Spain. There is also a train station in the town where you can catch trains to Granada, Seville, Almeria and beyond. There is also a regular bus service to nearby villages and Granada city centre.


Granada is about 25 minutes away by car. There is lovely countryside for walking, riding or climbing less than 10 minutes away and many other interesting places, like caves, lakes and historic monuments less than 30 minutes away.
