Villa in Jalon, Costa Blanca, Spain - Secluded Peaceful Location, Mountain Views, Unspoilt Region, 20 Mins To The Nearest Blue Flag Beach

This is a luxury, south-facing villa with its own private pool, located in the beautiful, peaceful area of Valle Del Paraiso and within walking distance of the picturesque market village of Jalon, with its excellent array of restaurants, friendly local bars, shops and other amenities. Relax and soak up the rays on the secluded sun terraces, whilst enjoying the stunning views over the breathtaking Jalon Valley. The golden, blue flag beaches at Calpe are only a 15-20 minute drive away. Moraira, Denia and Javea are all easily accessible and it takes just 35 minutes to reach lively Benidorm, with its many attractions. There are many attractions in the area such as: many golf clubs, tennis, horse riding, hiking, cycling, sightseeing, safari parks, quad biking, snorkeling, blue flag beaches, water park (Aqualandia), theme park (Terra Mitica), Benidorm Palace, and many more.

The villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Three bedrooms are in the main house on the upper level and on the pool level is a separate double bedroom with air conditioning and 3 piece bathroom. All bedrooms have remotely controlled ceiling fans, which are very efficient.

The lounge has a three seater and two seater settee. A six person round glass dining room table. A glass coffee table. An air conditioning unit. A 32" flat screen HD TV. A DVD film player, a cd music player. For the occasional wet day there are well over a hundred films to watch and board games to play

On the upper terrace there is an inbuilt BBQ, outdoor seating for 8 people with fantastic views of the Jalon valley.

The pool is 8' x 4' with Roman steps leading into it. It has the latest UV cleaning system, which makes the water safer and doesn't rely so much on chemicals. It can be electrically heated so is useable 365 days a year. The heating is an optional extra priced at £85 per week and will give you 27 degrees.

There are many steps leading up to the villa so it may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties.

We are a middle aged family (my wife won't like this)with two daughters and a crazy cocker spaniel. We live and work in the somewhat wet and cold Lancashire region of the UK and yearn for the day we can permanently move out to Jalon.

Why Adam Wells chose La Marina Alta

As they say location, location, location, eventually we would like to retire in Spain and having looked around many regions of Spain we found the Jalon Valley. We think it is the perfect location for relaxing and being away from it all, but also being close enough to a warm welcoming predominately Spanish community with its many amenities like shops, markets, good restaurants, tavernas and outdoor sports facilities. The blue flag beaches of Benissa and Calpe are only 15-20 minutes drive away. Travel is easy to and from here with the beautiful and pictruresque Jalon Valley right on your doorstep. Alicante and Valencia airports are just over an hour away and Benidorm with all its attractions (I have two daughters!) is only 35 minutes away.

What makes this villa unique

A quiet secluded location that is easy to relax in, whilst taking in the magnificent views of the mountains around the town of Jalon (Xalo), which is only 2 minutes away by car.

The property is not overlooked and is on a quiet cul-de-sac.

Notes on accommodation: A cot and high chair are available as an optional extra at €10 per week these need to be pre-booked. Sorry linen for the cot is not provided. The satellite TV system is HD compatible and provides the UK Freeview channels, also if you have a Sky package then bring your own card out and slot it into our receiver so you will also be able to receive all your Sky channels as well A hair dryer is provided Many board games are available, just incase it rains! (Cards, Jenga, Kerplunk, Frustration, Boggle, Chess, Chequers, Backgammon, Battleships, Connect 4, and more). Outside: Private 8 x 4 metre heated (optional) swimming pool with roman steps going from 1-2 meters in depth. Multi-coloured LED pool lights, great for nighttime parties. If you would like the pool heated this would be an extra £85 per week. There is a gate on the upper terrace designed to stop young children going down to the pool area, there is also a gate on the pool area again designed to stop young children leaving the villa premises. 6 sun loungers, 2 recliner patio chairs and 6 patio chairs. Upper main house level - open and shaded terraces. Lower pool level - open and shaded terraces. Built in stone multi-level BBQ on upper terrace. Utility Room: Tumble dryer. Courtesy set of RH golf clubs. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The villa is cleaned on arrival, towels and linen are provided for all guests. Lovely Villa in a stunning location

First experience of a holiday villa and we were not disappointed. The villa is spacious and well equipped, could not think of anything that was missing. There are plenty of places to visit within a fifteen mile radius i.e. Denia, Calpe, Benissa and a little bit further on Benidorm. This villa is situated on the highest point on the hills looking onto the town of Jalon ( Xalo ) and the views are absolutely stunning.

In Jalon two restaurants stand out and are well worth a visit, firstly Casa Claudia across from the Tourist Info. for very friendly and attentive service ( we were only €12.90 for 3 course meal incl. bread & drink ) and if you like a curry you won't be disappointed at The Everest View, a family run business, next street back from the main road, ( in our experience maybe best to avoid Saturday evening as busy and they do a lot of take-aways ).

We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa.

Lovely Villa in a Beautiful Area

This was our second visit and was just as good as the last time. The villa is lovely and spacious and having three bathrooms is a bonus. The pool is fantastic and regularly maintained and there's plenty of sunbeds etc., as well as a built in bbq. The villa is in a good location (quiet residential) not far from town and with amazing views.

A good choice for families or couples (we visited with family in October last year and as a couple in March this year). There are a number of steps up to the property so probably not suited to less able bodied people.

All in all a good base to stay with all facilities you need and close enough to Valencia, Calpe, Benidorm etc. for day trips. The town has a supermarket, butchers, bakers, and other shops and there are plenty of places to eat.

Its easy to reach from Alicante airport using the toll road and the directions given by the owner are spot on.

Christmas stay

This was the first time we had rented a villa over the Christmas break and we weren't disappointed. The villa was a great place to stay , the views are outstanding and the villa had central heating so was lovely and warm in the evenings. The villa had everything we needed, we even managed to cook a full Christmas dinner, something we wouldn't have been able to do in other villas we have stayed in.

Would love to return one summer to enjoy the area, the peace and quiet, lovely views and pool, during the summer evenings.

In all a lovely villa to stay at and would recommend to others also the villa owners are very helpful and accommodating.

A beautiful comfortable villa with stunning views

This is our second visit to this beautiful villa. So clean, well equips and comfortable with breath taking views of the valley and mountains. Superb clear pool, loads of sunbathing space and roomy bedrooms with cooling fans and fresh clean linen and bath towels. Sleeps 8 comfortably. Cannot recommend it enough for a fabulous family holiday. 15 mins drive to Calpe. 5 minute hop into quaint Jalon.

Lovely relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings

Lovely villa with beautiful views of the Jalon Valley. 5 minute drive to the town of Xalo for provisions and restaurants and 20 minutes to the coast. We spent lots of time just relaxing by the pool and barbecueing in the evenings at the villa has everything that you need but it is a good central Costa Blanca location for exploring if thats what you want to do. Hopefully we will be back in the not too distant future. :)

Amazing property in a stunning location!

We arrived at the villa on a hot day in August, with temperatures as high as 38 degrees Celsius, the first thing we did after unpacking our luggage was head for the pool, after having got direct heat from the sun all day it was lovely and warm, the pool is nice and deep, and it can be used both for children wanting to splash around and for adults wanting to do proper swimming. The villa is located on a very steep hill, so it may be a struggle for some cars, however there is plenty of space within walking distance to the villa for your car, and although there is no parking space specifically for the villa, the road out the front has more than enough room. The rooms are all very comfortable and are equipped with ceiling fans to keep you cool, the lounge area is well furnished and the TV can get as many British channels as you can hope for. The view from the house, balcony and pool is absolutely stunning, the highlights of the day were often seeing the sun rise and set over the beautiful mountains surrounding the villa. The owners were more than helpful, providing extensive details that you may need to know about the villa, including directions to the house, they were very quick to respond to any questions you had, and went out of their way to ensure our stay was as good as possible. The villa is right at the top of the housing area, so the privacy provided is maximal, with all the other houses below you. Xalo/Jalon is a wonderful village, and has everything you may need, plus more. There are wonderful restaurants, bars and wine houses nearby, plus a lovely market on the final Saturday of our stay (not sure if it is a weekly thing or not). Within easy distance of the villa is Benissa, Benidorm, Moraira and many more. Nearby attractions that I would recommend are AV Karting and Cueva de las Calaveras (Cave of Skulls). If you are looking for a large, family friendly, and stunning villa to stay in, look no further. This gem is guaranteed to suit each and every one of your needs.

Booking Notes:
A booking form will be emailed to you, which includes the terms and conditions and details of rental. Please check this form and fill in any missing blanks.
If all is ok please sign it and return it to us with a 25% deposit (with a minimum of £150, cheque/bank transfer/), which secures your booking. We will then also sign the form and send you a copy back. The remaining balance is due 10 weeks before departure.
A £200 refundable breakages deposit will be added to you booking.

Changeover Day:
Our changeover days are flexible all year round.
Arrival time 4pm, this can be earlier by arrangement.
Departure time 10am, we do our best to accommodate late checkout times but this may not be possible if another client is immediately following you. There is a charge of 50% of the daily rate for a late checkout up to 6pm

Where it applies extra people are charged at £25 per person per week.

An optional mid rental clean at €60 and or linen and towel change at €10 per person is available on request.

Heated Pool optional at £85 per week

Long term winter rentals considered, POA.
