Apartment in Torrevieja, Near La Mata, Costa Blanca, Spain - Residential Location, 6 -10 Mins Walk To The Blue Flag Beaches Of Molino Blanco And La Mata

Our lovely light and airy two bedroom apartment is in the very sought after location of north La Mata just a six minute walk (downhill) to the beach and has a stunning view of the sea. In the well maintained grounds is the large communal pool (unheated) which has controlled access so it is completely safe and secure giving peace of mind for your family. There is a lift servicing our apartment making it ideal for those needing a little help getting around and street parking directly outside and close by the apartment. We are centrally situated with many good bars (some with internet access), restaurants and a pharmacy on our doorstep. There are two good supermarkets and hire car companies a short walk away. Less than a kilometre away is a tenpin bowling venue, shopping centre, more restaurants and bars and the Torrevieja Aqua Park. We are also on a bus route with regular buses going into cosmopolitan Torrevieja town centre and quieter La Mata for around €1.30.

Hi Sue, we had a lovely time in Spain. As you say any weather is better than in UK. We went to the beach most days and just enjoyed doing nothing much. Your apartment is lovely, in a great location and full of all the things you need. We thought we might get to watch some of the DVDs but we spent as much time as possible out and about. A very comfortable, and well equipped Apartment

We had a very enjoyable stay , the La Mata beach is easy walking distance, the bus stop is right outside, We did not cook ourselves, but if you wanted to the apartment is very well equipped ( its home from home ) If you do eat out, try Sophia's World by the entrance, They have the best food and service in the the area. We would have no hesitation in recommending this Apartment.

A very comfortable , and well equipped apartment

We had a very pleasant stay at this apartment, La Mata beach is easy walking distance , The bus stop is right outside , and is only 1.35 euros to the main centre. We did not do any cooking ourselves , but if you did want to, there is everything that you need ( its home from home ). If you do stay there you must try the restaurant by the entrance Sophia's World , Its very good !

We have no hesitation in recommending this apartment

Great place to stay hoe from home

My niece and I arrived at alicante on time and alan for transfer already there very helpful and pleasant. The apartment was great everything you could ever want. Eating out not a problem either as lots of choices within walking distance. Thankyou sue as you will know that's us enquiring for next year.

Location

From the Owner

We both wanted to have a property somewhere warm and accessible both by car and air. The beaches are beautiful in the Costa Blanca area and the apartment is within 35 - 40 minutes of Alicante airport and well served by buses. There are some wonderful places within easy travelling distance if you hire a car.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Barpub : Beneath the apartment Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach (Molino Blanco) is a six minute walk downhill. It is very clean, ideal for children as it is shallow for quite some distance, sandy, loungers/umbrellas for hire if you wish , patrolled by lifeguards. There is a lovely boardwalk along the beach to the other end of La Mata. There are a number of other lovely beaches near by, accessible by bus - you are dropped off on the beach!

Travel:

We are 35 minutes from Alicante and Murcia airports.There is a fast reliable bus from Alicante airport to Torrevieja town and local buses from there to the apartment. Use of a car is not essential but if you have a family or are not used to finding your way around it is probably recommended. There is a frequent bus service into Torrevieja town which stops right outside our apartment block.

Distances:

La Mata conservation park - short bus ride.

Torrevieja town - 10 minutes by bus.

Guardamar - 15 minutes by bus/car (with lovely beach and Sunday market).

Further Details:

There are good supermarkets within walking distance, some of which are open 7 days a week during the summer. There is a large Carrefour open 24 hours during the summer months but you will need a car to get there. There are bars and restaurants (some with internet access), pharmacies, hire car companies and a bank very close by or within walking distance. There is a bank with a cash point underneath our apartment block. There are several markets in the area, including a craft market in Torrevieja town and a local one in La Mata on Wednesdays.La Mata salt water lake is about 10 minutes away by bus and has a number of different walks for you to take. If you want to go further afield, a car will take you to Alicante, Elche, Guardamar, Murcia, Orihuela and further up the coast past Benidorm and into the mountains.

From the Owner

As the property was the home of the previous occupants it really does have a nice feel and the block is home to many Spanish people. The complex is very secure as it is only accessible by key at every entrance. The buildings, pool and the grounds are well maintained and the lift access is useful when bringing the shopping home! There are bars and restaurants on the ground floor so not too far to go if you feel like staying local. Whilst the area is lively it is not overwhelmingly so.

  • Notes on accommodation: There are heaters available for use in the cooler months and ceiling fans for the lovely warmer weather. The apartment would be suitable for children and is partially friendly for those who need help getting around - please talk this through with us as necessary. For the comfort of all of our guests, we would prefer it if you didn't smoke in the apartment but smoking on the terrace is fine. If you have a late flight, you may want a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, cereal, eggs, bread etc. Let us know what you need and we will be happy to get it for you (for a small charge). There are plenty of towels and other linen a washing machine and clothes airer on the balcony should you wish to change yours regularly. Outside: There are well maintained grounds and a communal unheated swimming pool with a children's area and large general pool. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: There are sufficient linen & towels provided for your stay & a washing machine for your use. If you want the apartment cleaned during your stay it can be arranged at additional cost. Rental price includes cleaning after departure. Other: Off the hallway is a bedroom with two single beds, bedside tables, reading lamps and a large built in wardrobe.
