Lovely, traditional stone house overlooking Fornalutx and the Tramuntana mountainside. Peaceful location with fabulous views. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge and kitchen/diner. Attractive outside patio for eating 'alfresco', sunny balcony. Perfect for hikers, families or couples. Double, Twin bedrooms and bathroom with shower on top floor. Single bedroom on first floor with lounge leading onto sunny balcony. Ground floor bathroom and kitchen/diner leading out to patio.

About Jacqueline Abbott-Slade

I now mainly live in the countryside near Selva with my husband and 3 children. We have lived in Mallorca on and off for many years, so I know the Island very well. I bought the house in 2004 and my family and friends have enjoyed holidays there over the years. I run a retreat centre and bought it to accomodate extra guests who wanted somewhere beautiful to stay. We spend as much time there as we can.

Why Jacqueline Abbott-Slade chose Deia - Soller Region

The house is very cosy and peaceful, perfect for a getaway with the family or a long romantic weekend. It overlooks Fornalutx, a very beautiful village with several traditional Mallorquin restaurants. The walking is spectacular with many trails through the mountains. However just taking in the view is inspiring! Sitting on the balcony taking the wonderful mountain view or looking at the stars at night is very special. it feels as if time has stood still. Soller is 5 minutes by car with more shopping and a lovely town square with nearby market.

The village can get pretty busy during the day in Summer, so it is really nice not to have lots of tourists walking past.

What makes this house unique

Not being in the middle of the village is an advantage as the views are fantastic, there is more breeze in Summer and free parking on the road outside. Sitting on the balcony taking the wonderful mountain view in the daytime or stargazing at night with a glass of wine and the distant sound of goats bells, it feels as if time has stood still. Having lived 8 years in different parts of Mallorca, it is still my favourite village.

It is only 200yds or so to the square, so the best of both worlds.
