Guestbook comments from the owner

"THANK YOU SO MUCH, We had a fanastic time on the hen! The weather wasn't perfect, but it didn't spoil our fun at all as the house was gorgeous! I hadn't expected it to be quite so well-appointed, spacious and comfortable.

We had a lovely time sitting in the conservatory, relaxing in the living room, and on one night cooked a huge meal and had a proper dinner party in the dining room. The grounds were so spacious and with such stunning views we spent a lot of our time just enjoying each other's company in the house. "The house was incredible - much more beautiful that I had imagined and the whole weekend ran really smoothly!"

"needless to say we were all very impressed and would rate every criteria as '5' and would highly recommend the farmhouse to others- indeed I am hopeful that we will make a return visit at some stage"

30th birthday party

  • 5 of 5

Nine of us stayed in the Farmhouse for two nights in December for my partners 30th birthday.

I can not recommend it enough - each of the bedrooms are stunning, as is the living room and dining area. There is plenty of space for large groups to both stay and also enjoy each others company.

The location is also stunning - long walks, hot tub, and nearby pubs are available so I am sure there is something to satisfy everyone's tastes!

Tad was also fantastic before our arrival - he answered all my queries promptly and politely, and went out of his way to be helpful - and it was greatly appreciated!

We are already planning another trip this year - I really can not impress how much we enjoyed staying at Kencott Farm.

Thanks Tad! :)

Absolutely Superb!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 7 had an absolutely superb stay at Kencot Farm for Christmas.

I can only echo what others have said about the place and agree wholeheartedly that the house and location are perfect for a family getaway.

The property itself is very clean and has everything you need for a stay in the country, including a very friendly and chatty cat called Toyah. My wife wanted to steal her!

The location is great for walks and wildlife spotting and whilst it was very cold when we stayed, I would imagine the hot tub and patio areas would be great in the warmer months. It is a short distance from the beautiful village of Burford which has many pubs.

Finally, Tad was a real pleasure to deal with leading up to our stay. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Kencot Farm to friends or family. Superb!

fantastic farmhouse for family holiday.

  • 5 of 5

Excellent, spacious, clean and well equipped farmhouse for a family break. We had a fantastic time, enjoyed the hot tub and had great time walking the dogs.

Great places to visit in the surrounding areas.

Warm, friendly welcome from Tad who gave clear instructions of anything we needed to know for an enjoyable holiday.

Would recommend this farmhouse for large family groups and will certainly like to visit again.

A 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration.

One of the best weekends ever with the family. The house is spacious with an amazing garden. The hot tub was a real novelty, great fun.

Land as far as the eye can see, great for dogs.

Communication with the owner was fantastic, really helpful.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from having any neighbors.

Amazing few days.

Brilliant property, exactly as advertised.

  • 5 of 5

Took the farm to get all the immediate family together for a 60th birthday. Absolutely what we needed, loads of space for the grandkids, and the big kids and even the oldies!

Good pubs nearby, and in easy reach of Burford. Just round the corner from the Cotswold wildlife park, although we didn't go as we had Zimbabwean cousins with us.

One very minor grumble, the hay meadow next to the farmhouse had not yet been harvested so the space for some serious kite flying was a bit limited. On the plus side seeing the new F35, 2 Typhoons and the Red Arrows as they formed up for Fairford was awesome.

All-in-all an absolutely brilliant venue for a superb weekend get together.

Very comfortable but not 'precious', well equipped, fantastic location.

Amazing family weekend much enjoyed by all ages. Grandchildren aged from 10 years to 10 months had a whale of a time playing rounders, cricket, bike riding and exploring the woods. Adults much enjoyed the hot tub, barbecue, sitting round the fire until the early hours. Because there are no other properties nearby you can be as noisy or as peaceful as you like! Wonderful 70th celebration!!

Notes on accommodation: The Farmhouse is 500m from the nearest road with intervening woodland which makes it blissfully remote so you can be as quiet or as noisy as you like. Children and pets can run and explore to their heart’s content – as can grown-ups too! Overspill accommodation can be made available and caravans or camping is also possible (additional charges would apply). Available adjacent to the house is a stable for up to 3 horses and a paddock with electric perimeter fencing (additional charges would apply). RAF Brize Norton airbase is about 3 miles away so some military air traffic should be expected – and enjoyed too! Outside: Dry-stone walled garden with pergola, patio, dining tables and chairs for 12 people. BBQ. Fields for football, cricket, boules, or whatever you fancy. Tree shaded areas near house and more extensive woodland 200m away. Simply stunning views that stretch for 20 miles to the south. Space for more cars than you could possibly bring! Utility Room: Oil central heating & hot water boiler, Bosch washing machine, drying facilities, sink. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels & linen are included. Property is cleaned weekly at changeover. A cook/housekeeper is available as a separate contract. Other: Dining room – stunning travertine marble dining table with seating for 10 (12 possible) with Denby dinner service for 12, wood-burning stove, oak sideboard. Conservatory – 7-seater corner sofa, coat & boot storage, beautiful views!
