"Las Terrazas" is a comfortable apartment in a historic old town house in the picturesque barrio of Santa Cruz, which sits at the foot of the Santa Barbara Castle. Its 2 terraces allow guests to sit outside in comfort and enjoy the Alicante weather. It is within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants, shops, tram station and the museums and galleries. The front door leads into the modern kitchen and dining room and on to the lounge and main terrace. Upstairs there is another terrace and downstairs you'll find the main bedroom and the bathroom.

Had an absolutely amazing stay! We were met by the owner Tim at the bus stop which was very nice - we wouldn't have found the place on our own. Have in mind that very few speaks English! On our way to the apartment Tim told us about the area and where to shop etc. which was very helpful during our 10 days stay. The flat is situated in the most beautiful area. A really well equipped, well presented and clean apartment in a fantastic location. Lots of original features and inspiration. An apartment where you "feel at home". Amazing views from both terraces, great walks in the old town and great location for a variety of activities including the beach. Booking and communication with Tim went very smooth. Absolutely recommend a holiday here!

Tim met us from the taxi and took us to the accommodation, a very nice, friendly, polite and helpful guy.

The accommodation was in good clean condition, well looked after and everything you needed was provided.

Definitely what we were looking for for our holiday. The area was superb, real Spanish life. There was a proper supermarket 5-10 mins walk. Hundreds of cafes and bars, nearest one less than 20 metres away.

About 10 mins walk to the beach.

We couldn't fault the owners or the accommodation.

Beautiful Apartment, Stunning Location!

The apartment lived up to our expectations and Tim was very welcoming and helpful. It was well maintained, clean, traditional and full of rustic charm. The property is split across 3 floors with 2 terraces, great for catching the sun. The property has a lot of artwork and wall hangings with a fully equipped kitchen. washer, fridge freezer, oven, hob and microwave. The bedroom has a ceiling fan which was glorious whilst sleeping and the bed has a good quality mattress. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking to experience real spanish culture.

The apartment is located in the heart of the Old Town surrounded by quaint cafes and restaurants from the moment you step out of the door. Rincon De Antonio is the first restaurant you'll come to and it became a regular spot to sit and have a drink in the afternoon and at the end of the evening. The staff are very welcoming and the food was lovely. Other bars we would recommend are San Christobel which is on La Rambla which had only been open a few days. It is very trendy and has it's own cocktail bar with dedicated waiter who can make up any cocktail even if it is not on the menu. Just a little further down La Rambla on the opposite side of the road is Soho which is surrounded trees and greenery and is very picturesque and enchanting with a very relaxed atmosphere. Right at the end of the beach there is a bar where at night they light candles all down the boardwalk and on the tables. Most seating was located on the beach either at a table for 2 or in groups. Very beautiful to sit and watch the sun set whilst looking out to sea. On certain nights of the week they have a Dj who plays til late. If you are looking for authentic Spanish food then you need to go to Restaurante Casa Riquelme. It has a choice of set menus to suit a variety of budgets and all menus come with unlimited drinks (yes including alcohol). The seafood and the paella were the best we have had. You will not be disappointed!

We visited many places including the Cathedral of San Nicolas, The Basilica, Santa Barbara Castle and the Museum of Contemporary Art. All these places are highly recommended.

A big must is to put a day aside and catch a boat to Tabarka Island. The island is a mirage of traditional houses and cobbled streets. It has little bars, an art gallery and boutiques. It is a fishing village so the restaurants sell only the best fresh fish from the island.

We would definitely return to Alicante and use this apartment.

The sandy Postiguet beach of Alicante is about 10 minutes walk away and is equipped with sun beds , parasols and pedalos to hire. Free use of volleyball courts, exercise equipment and children's play areas. There are other beaches easily reached by the nearby tram. From Alicante marina boat trips are available to Tabarca island, which is recommend for snorkelling and famous for its rice dishes. There are also trips in a glass bottom boat.


20 minutes taxi journey (20€) or 30 minutes on the airport bus (2.65€ pp) from Alicante Airport. We will send you detailed instructions and will meet you off the bus or taxi. A car is not needed unless you want to explore the mountainous interior of the region.


The house is within easy walking distance of the beach, the main shopping area, restaurants, museums, galleries, cinemas, the castle, the tram line and local buses and the central food market.
