About the property

A Love Nest in the grounds of an Old Farm House .. with 2 garden bedrooms

Monte Velho is an old farmhouse recently restored in a sympathetic style to a most relaxing and private holiday home. Set in the foothills of a National Park, it is ideal as a base for walking and cycling yet only 2 km. from the bustling market town of Sao Bras, 30 minutes from Faro Airport and the wonderful beaches of the Eastern Algarve.

The stables have been converted in the old style to a very spacious one bed apartment and the guests will have the exclusive use of the very private pool and BBQ area and the beautifully maintained gardens.

Due the many requests from previous guests wishing to bring along friends to join them on their holiday we decided to add two more bedrooms to the property. Just this year we have restored two further outhouses located separate to the cottage into double bedrooms with toilet and shower. These rooms open out onto different aspects of the garden. The main kitchen space is located in the cottage.

Guests will have the exclusive use of the very private pool and coal BBQ area and the beautifully maintained gardens.

There is a local bar in the village square only 500 meters away and an array of excellent restaurants in Sao Bras 1 mile away.

Venture under the arch in the village square and 1 mile through a winding lane you come to Juncais where the road turns to dirt and winds through a magical valley of cork oaks black pigs and goat herds. This is rural Portugal at its best.

Travel 20min by car and find yourself along the Algarves beautiful coast.

Unfortunately the property is strictly not suitable for children under 16.

Guests will have the totally exclusive use of the very private pool, BBQ area and the beautifully maintained gardens.

In the washroom there are bikes, rackets, foosball table and pool beds to enjoy

Secluded Get away

Great place to get away from it all. Set back off the road and not overlooked. 1bed house with own pool shared only with the wildlife. 10 minutes walk to Alportel just 2 bars 30 minute walk to Sao Bras plenty of coffee shops/bars shops and restaurants 6euros back with shopping. Clean and spacious converted stables just ideal to relax by the pool all day

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

A selection of beaches are easily reached within 30 minutes of driving through quiet country roads.

Travel:

Faro Airport is 30 minutes drive from the house.

A taxi to the airport is about €20. Bicycles are available for use by the guests to get about locally (but not to the airport!)

A car is really desirable and can be got very reasonably from Arguscarhire.

Distances:

Local village is 500 yards - Alportel 3 bars!

Local town is 1.5 miles - Sao Bras. Plenty of excellent coffee shops and restaurants and supermarkets. Intermarche, Lidl.
