Situated on the east side of Nerja, Oasis de Capistrano is surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens, two communal swimming pools, children's pool, bar and restaurant and is a 20 minute walk from central Nerja and the Balcon de Europa. The apartment enjoys a southerly aspect with wonderful views across Oasis to the sea. Burriana beach can be reached on foot either via a beautiful cliff top path or in a few minutes by car. The property is approached via a few steps and is all on one level. You are greeted with a good sized private garden and beautiful terrace which are well screened and with a secure entrance gate so perfectly safe for children.

Wonderful Spring break

Fabulous property on a wonderful complex. Very clean and tidy two bedroom property on the lower level with a very nice garden and sitting areas. Everything you would need for a great holiday and Paul the owner provided very substantial notes about the apartment, the area, restaurants etc. We would not hesitate in recommending this property.

PERFECT LATE NOVEMBER VACATION

Three of us--all fit over-60 somethings-stayed just shy of two weeks at Paul Edward's apartment in the Oasis de Capistrano in Nerja. We were within walking distance of the Burriana beach (~10-15 minutes) and of the center of Nerja (maybe 15-20 minutes). Two supermarkets are close by--the Mercadona and a Supersol, although both are closed on Sundays--thus necessitating dinner plans at the Brasserie Iberica, also a short walk down the hill, and a lovely and not too expensive place for dinner. The apartment has a strong wi-fi signal and is very, very quiet. The grounds at the Oasis are spectacularly beautiful; staying here is like staying in one's own private park. There is a little washing machine in the apartment; clothes are dried on a rack outside, but this was very useful to us travelers. There is also a beautiful swimming pool close by--unheated, so in November it is "bracing" to say the least. Nonetheless the pool is a lovely place to lie out and toast one's self. My sister also swam in the ocean on a daily basis; I did once. She is a hardy northern California type who can handle cold water with ease; I prefer a quick in-and-out .We have been very comfortable here & recommend this rental to anyone who enjoys a clean,, quiet, comfortable little "home away from home." We are hoping to return again next November.

I love the way you refer to the Oasis grounds as a 'private park', they really are beautiful at anytime of the year and Oasis is very appropriately named! Spain is one of those countries that still insist on no Sunday trading so yes, even the supermarkets are closed but with so many wonderful restaurants close by, it really never matters! Great villa for relaxing and enjoying Nerja

My fiancé and I just got back from our wonderful holiday in Spain. The holiday was wonderful in 2 ways:

1- Nerja is a great town with beautiful beaches and a lovely Spanish feel

2- Your villa was a perfect retreat within the town

This was our 3rd visit to Nerja, and each time we’ve come we rented a villa inside the Oasis de Capistrano (which says something in itself). We had always wanted to rent your villa, but it was always booked months prior from the date we wanted to come. Now, I know why!

Your villa is perfectly positioned within the Oasis (i.e., close to the pool and bus stop), and your garden area is impeccably landscaped and gives the holidaymaker a feeling of relaxation and peace. In fact, we love going to Burriana beach but we found that just lounging in your garden gave us the same feeling of bliss. Inside, the villa feels like you’re at home, it’s that relaxing and comfortable. I would also like to say that the bed in the main bedroom is one of the best beds we’ve ever slept on (and we’ve stayed in hotels around the world). I just had major back surgery 4 months prior to this holiday and have had the hardest time staying asleep, since every few hours I have to shift my sleeping position due to the pain I’m still having. But, each time I laid down on the bed in the main bedroom, I drifted off into a deep sleep and didn’t wake up until the morning.

I also must praise your property manager. Mark was extremely helpful and went out of his way when two problems arose. The first was when the portable fan’s motor died. Within a day, Mark had come around with a new fan. The second was when we realised that there wasn’t a dvd remote control which we actually needed since we brought our own dvds. To view the different episodes required a remote control which has the arrows on it which gets you to the required areas. I sent an email to Mark asking where we might purchase a dvd remote. He told us of a store in town but before we could get to it he had dropped off an alternate dvd player. Both of these instances speak volumes for you as the owner, and for Mark, the villa manager. We felt as though we were in a hotel and everything that we needed was ‘no problem’.

We look forward to coming back and are already discussing when!

Wonderful Apartment

Everything about our holiday was excellent and surpassed our expectations. The villa has everything you could possibly need and was situated on a beautiful complex which was very quiet and peaceful, even in peak holiday time!! The lovely beach was only a 10 minute walk away too. Paul was wonderful with all his communication, so quick to respond and even arranged for a taxi to meet us on arrival. We loved it so much, we have booked a return visit in 2016. Thank you Paul.

From our initial enquiry, Paul’s quick and informative responses regarding the apartment and surrounding area was most helpful.

The apartment is absolutely fab and situated in a very private complex, surrounded by beautifully, well-maintained, gardens and two communal pools. We settled in instantly.

It is very well equipped and has a real ‘homely’ feel. There was everything we could have possibly wanted. The outside space provides a welcome, relaxing area and has sun loungers, patio table and chairs, electric and charcoal BBQ. Paul really has thought of everything to ensure a great stay.

This really is a home from home!!! We will definitely look forward to returning in the future.

Fabulous apartment

We have stayed in Nerja a number of times and our usual apartment was already booked. So...having looked at a number of properties we decided upon this one. What can I say...we were not disappointed. As everyone has said, it has everything you need and Paul was fantastic in terms of communication. We have a 4&6 year old and the layout was perfect for them. The garden was secure and just a short walk to the pool or the car. The walk into Nerja town is a tad too far for their little legs (even though they are younger and fitter!) but the bus stop is only 5 minutes away and runs every hour (except siesta time). Taxis are only around 8 euros so there is that option too. Another plus (a bit boring but essential) was the washing machine as we only brought cabin luggage so could save a few pennies not bringing extra clothes. Thank you Paul for a fab week. We will definitely be recommending (& using) your apartment again.

Location

From the Owner

We originally bought a very old townhouse in nearby Torrox and fell in love with the area. However, maintaining such an old property from a distance became difficult and we therefore sold it and bought this apartment on Oasis, a development that we had always admired. The apartment is lovely and quiet, although very close to the beach and to the centre of Nerja. It meant that we could walk to nearby restaurants rather than worrying about using the car. A job promotion for my partner meant a relocation to America and so started to rent to guests in 2011.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 50 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Burriana at 1 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Burriana is the closest beach and this can be reached within 10 minutes by foot or in a few minutes by car. There are some spectacular, near deserted beaches within 20 minutes drive away or more traditional resort beaches in Nerja or in nearby Torrox.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Malaga which is about a 45 minute drive away. Alternatively Granada airport is about 1½ hours away.

Distances:

The centre of Nerja is about 1 mile away on a very pleasant, fairly level walk. There is a huge car park in the centre of Nerja if you wish to drive, or alternatively there are a number of taxi points around Oasis to make using a taxi easier. The beautiful white pueblo village of Frigliana is about 6 miles away and from there you can drive across the spectacular mountains to Torrox, a further 5 miles. The nearest supermarket is Supersol, a 10 minute walk.

Further Details:

Nerja is a beautiful town which provides everything you could wish for in a holiday. There are numerous beaches, the most famous and closest to the apartment being Burriana, where you will find traditional Spanish beach side restaurants and a whole range of further international bars and restaurants. In the centre of Nerja is the Balcon de Europa where you can watch the sunset over a cerveza or vino or cocktail in one of the many bars or restaurants.

Although a minimum booking of 7 nights is preferred, shorter stays can sometimes be accommodated so please do ask. Also, a discount can be given for stays of more than 4 weeks, although electricity will then be charged for separately. Prices are based on a maximum of 4 people sharing.
