This recently renovated spacious old farmhouse with its predessors shown on the 1758 maps as a small hamlet near to a now long gone nunnery. It sits in 1 acre of land with gardens surrounding the house and at the end of 400m road hidden off the main Villebaudon to Hambye road, with extensive views to the north and pasture land to the south. The house faces south and has a pleasant walled garden that takes the sun all day. The terrace on the west elevation is ideal for evening meals and it receives the afternoon and evening sun. The dining room is of a banquet hall design and proportions. It has a huge oak dining table to seat 12, Louise 13th massif oak furniture, a large open fire ideal for cuisinerie sur feu du bois, candle lit walls, electric lighting with a dimmer switch operated chandelier and radiant lighting to the wood lined roof that produces the ideal ambience for long dinner parties.

Coast/Beach:

25 minute drive to coast to west, 35 minutes drive to D Day beaches. The beaches are wide open and sandy and other than August and Sundays are quiet. The bathing is safe and regular beaches have life guards. There is sand yachting and kite flying on one beach

Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to Caen, Portsmouth to Cherbourg, Poole to Cherbourg. And Portsmouth to Le Havre. Calais to Villebaudon, by car, around 260 miles. Cherbourge to Villebaudon by car, around 65 miles. Caen to Villebaudon by car, around 60 miles.

30 minutes drive to forest of St Sever, 10 minute drive to Villedieu, Extensive shopping in nearby Snt Lo, Villediieu and Granville. Several gourmet restaurants and many good restaurants within 25 minutes drives, bistro/bar in the village together with butcher, small grocer and fresh baker. English speaking pharmacist, doctor and dentist in Gavray, around 20 minutes drive.
