Our luxury penthouse apartment has a lift to the front door and is all on one level, there is also a private underground parking space for your personal use. From the penthouse balcony you have amazing views of the nursery slopes, cable car and mountains. We are a 5 minute walk to the slopes and lifts and a five minute walk into the beautiful town of Rauris with numerous bars, restaurants and shops. There are two large supermarkets which will cater for all your needs. In the spring and summer seasons this is the perfect place for mountain walkers and mountain bikers with the most amazing walks and trails on your doorstep.

Why Deborah Thompstone chose Rauris

As a family we all love the outdoors and snow sports. We searched and searched for the ideal location which had to be somewhere we could use all year round and get to fairly easily. Rauris ticked every box and more. It is so typically Austrian, so pretty and the locals are wonderfully friendly. It is such a family friendly resort, full of family restaurants and bars and so easy to get to. We can be in our apartment within 1 hour of landing at Salzburg and on the slopes half an hour later. Perfect.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment Kerstin 10 is five minutes walk from the nursery slope and main lift and we are only five minutes walk into the delightful town. As we have the penthouse apartment we have the added benefit of a lift right to the front door and a guaranteed underground parking space. From our balcony we have the best views of the surrounding mountains and the nursery slopes. All guests have unlimited access to the pool and spa area, which also includes a sauna and a steam room. There is also an onsite bar/cafe with rooftop terrace and laundry facilities, ie washing machines and a tumble dryer. There is a lockable room in the basement for leaving all skis, boots and boards.

Stunning penthouse apartment minutes from the nursery slopes and Gondola, everything we needed as a family on our doorstep. Best ski school for the kids all English speaking and crowd free slopes and no queues! Good child friendly restaurants and two great supermarkets all walking distance. This apartment also has the benefit of a lift to the front door, great when you have toddler and buggy. Highly recommend for families. Louise, York.

Notes on accommodation: Please note that a highchair can be provided if needed and a travel cot can be hired for a small fee. Strictly no pets allowed. Strictly no smoking allowed in apartment. Outside: Schonblick has a heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room in the spa which is free for all guests. We also have an on-site bar/cafe with a rooftop terrace with a view to die for! There is laundry facilities on site with coin operated machines and dryers. Utility Room: Iron and ironing board. Washing machine. Clothes airer (clothes horse). Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, linen and end of stay cleaning are included in the price. Other: Balcony has table and 4 chairs and an amazing south-westerly view of the nursery slopes, cable car and mountains.

Salzburg airport is approximately 1 hour away. Car hire is not essential once in Rauris, there is an excellent mini-bus taxi transfer service from Salzburg Airport to Rauris for approx €200 return. This mini-bus can seat 8 people.


We are five minutes walk into Rauris.

We are approx twenty minutes drive from Zell-Am-See.

We are approx thirty minutes drive from Kaprun.

We are approx one hours drive from Salzburg.

Further Details:

There are 2 well stocked supermarkets in Rauris as well as a bakers and a pharmacy etc. There is a bank and cash machines and numerous restaurants and bars to cater for everyones needs and tastes. In the spring/summer there is fantastic trails and paths on your doorstep for mountain biking and mountain walking, the scenery will take your breath away. Horse riding/pony trekking is available and all types of bikes can be hired in Rauris for very reasonable rates.

Booking Notes:
25% of the total holiday price is required to secure any booking, the remainder is paid 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. A cash security deposit is taken by our agent when you are given the keys to our apartment, it's given back when the apartment is handed back to our agent in a satisfactory state at the end of your stay. In Austria all persons over 15yrs pay tourist tax, it's €1.10 per person per day and is also collected by our agent. Please have deposit/tax ready on arrival.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday/Sunday but can be flexible. Our apartment must be vacated by 10am to allow for cleaning, arrivals will be met at our apartment by our agent at 3pm or after. If you arrive late in the evening there may be a small charge.

Notes on prices:
Please note our agent will not accept a cheque for the security deposit or the tourist tax, this must be paid in euros in full on your arrival date.

When paying into our account, please make sure the figure you deposit is the exact amount and not minus any bank charges that your bank may charge for transferring funds. Please tick the box that states the 'payer' (you) meets these costs and not (me) the 'payee'. If paying by Paypal, note that there is a charge from Paypal that YOU must pay
