An unbelievable experience
This historical castle and grounds has to be seen to be believed. We met with the owners who's family goes back hundreds of years in Scottish and British history. The private gardens are massive and extensive. We were not able to see the entire place in 3 days. It was a truly magical experience. With that said, the inside of the house had everything we needed. Once full bath and one partial, kitchen, two bedrooms and a massive living room. The stairs are circular and may be hard for some people to negotiate. The second bedroom was only large enough for one person. I think there are other ways more could stay if desired. The owners couldn't have been nicer and we would recommend this location to anyone who wants a unique experience. We were only 20 minutes from Edinburgh, and a few minutes to multiple golf courses with views of the sea. The interior of the quest quarters are a bit dated, but that only adds to the ambiance.

It is a wonderful place for relaxing days in the country or sunny afternoons at the beach. The nearby village offers many delicious culinary options and the trains are not far at all. I hope to return soon.
