Stunning Barn conversion, fantastic stay
Collette and Paul.
About the Owner
We are Paul and Collette and we bought Wool House Farm in April 2011 after a six month search for the right property.
We originate from Kent and after lovely holidays self catering in the West Country knew that this was how we wanted to make our living.
We found a real gem in Wool House Farm; we love it. After settling in we completely refurbished Owl Barn and it has been fully booked since its launch on August 5th. Feedback from our first guests has been wonderful convincing us that we're on the right track - although always looking for suggestions on how to improve!
We have extended our "family" to include a cat, four alpacas, 4 chickens and 2 bantams. In the months and years ahead we hope to expand further with more holiday accommodation and more animals.

Stunning Barn conversion, fantastic stay
We stayed for a week with my son's, daughter, and grandchildren. We were just so impressed, the photo's do not do it justice, the house is very large with all the bedrooms spacious, a large dining room and even larger living room. There is also a large fully fitted kitchen with everything you need for your stay and a lovely outside seating area. The fresh hen and duck eggs left for us were lovely as were the biscuits, many thanks. The linens are top quality as were the soap and hand cream. My granddaughter loved feeding the Alpaca's and chickens, and it was just so relaxing sitting outside watching the animals and reading with a chilled glass of wine. Collette and Paul are there if you need them but you have total privacy with your outside space. The garden is totally secure which was ideal as we bought our two dogs. We will most definitely be coming back, it was a beautiful house with amazing views and Collete and Paul were excellent hosts. Many thanks. Bernie
Lovely peace and quiet in Dorset
What a great place to go and unwind. Wonderful setting in beautiful countryside, yet only a few minutes' drive from great pubs, shops etc. Extremely clean house, very comfortable beds and lovely linen. Lovely walks direct from the house. Very discreet owners, despite being next door. Highly recommend Owl Barn. Thank you Collette and Paul for looking after us so well
Immaculate with stunning views!
There were four adults and our young grand-daughter. We had a warm welcome from Collette and Paul, who just could not have done enough for us. Our grand-daughter loved helping to feed the Alpacas, sheep, pet ducks and visiting the hens. The barn was in a lovely setting with beautiful views all around, and freedom to walk about the grounds. If we could give this lovely place 10 stars we would! The cleanest place we have ever stayed in. We really appreciated the "welcome pack" of tea, Dorset biscuits, and 6 of the tastiest, largest yolk eggs we have ever had from the owners own hens! Thank you Collette & Paul. We hope to see you, and all the animals again next year.
Great Holiday Cottage
I stayed with my husband, parents and 2 children and we didn't want to leave when our week was finished! The property is very clean, well equipped and in beautiful surroundings. It is a great area to stay as there is plenty to do and the cottage is spacious with a good layout and perfect for relaxing and spending time in. We have already booked for next year.

From the Owner
“When searching for our property we had a number of priorities and Wool House Farm matched them all. It is in a beautiful tranquil location with lovely views and no noise pollution. The Farm House and holiday accommodation is Grade II listed and full of character and querky corners, so interesting and different to stay in. Although being off the beaten track it is, in fact, walking distance from a lovely local pub and a mile from a nice town with good amenities and transport links. The property is in a great location in North Dorset with a wealth of lovely places to visit and activities and events to suit every age and taste. So, in summary, for us it has it all. We love it and we hope our guests will love it too.”

“A feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, beside a tranquil river, while actually being close to amenities. A lovely location with 10 acres of grounds to explore. We love our animals! There are the four alpacas, two sheep, chickens and ducks, all of whom reside here, but of course there are also resident deer, pheasants, owls, and kingfishers. We also get the occasional visit from otters and badgers.
