The villa is situated in a peaceful location in the centre of the San Lorenzo golf course with a 5 minute walk to the Clubhouse. It is a 20 minute walk to the beach through the scenic beauty of the Ria Formosa – or a 5 minute cycle along the nature trail. It is comfortably furnished throughout and features a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and microwave. There is a separate utility room with a washer and dryer. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, two on the ground floor and one in the basement, all of which are en-suite. There is a drawing room and a TV room which open out onto the terrace and look onto the secluded garden.

Notes on accommodation: The villa is luxurious, light and spacious, with a gated entrance and a double garage accessed from the basement. It is furnished in a contemporary style and has concealed air-conditioning, underfloor heating, solid oak doors, marble and terracotta floors and full-length windows to most rooms. It has been furnished lavishly as a home and has not been rented out before. There is a large terrace on the first floor which has sofas and a table tennis table and table football. There are eight sun-beds around the pool and an outdoor dining area with a table which seats up to 12. There is an iPod dock with speakers. Outside: The front of the house is festooned with white oleander and there are raised beds leading up to the front door. There is a double garage and plenty of drive space for parking. At the back of the house there is a private 15 metre pool surrounded by a terrace with sunbeds. The garden has lots of pine trees which offer some shade on a baking Algarve day. There is an outdoor kitchen and bar area (with 2 fridges) with a large gas barbecue and a table with seating for up to 12. On the first floor there is a large terrace with a table tennis table, table football and sofas. Utility Room: Washer & dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided. Maid service is available to your own requirements. Other: On the first floor there is a large sun terrace with sofas, a table tennis table and table football.

Location

Coast/Beach:

It is a 20 minute walk to Quinta do Lago beach through the scenic beauty of the Ria Formosa, a 10 minute cycle ride along the nature trail - or a few minutes drive. It is also just a few minutes walk to the salt flats of the Ria Formosa (then you can buy the salt in the supermarkets!) or, for a change of scenery and ambiance and a bit of exercise, a 30 minute cycle ride to Praia de Faro.

Travel:

Faro airport is 20 minutes drive from the villa. Over the last few years a motorway system has been developed which has preserved the beauty of the coastline but means there is very efficient travel along the Algarve from Lagos to Tavira - and also just over 2 hours to Lisbon.

Distances:

It is a 5 minute drive to Quinta Shopping & Bougainvillea Plaza with their boutiques, cafes, bars & restaurants. There is a small supermarket just a couple of minutes away, where there is also an international health centre. Quinta do Lago has an efficient taxi service but car hire is very highly recommended for this villa, to take advantage of all the area has to offer.

Further Details:

The Algarve is a wonderful place for a holiday. Apart from the world-renowned golf courses there are miles and miles of beaches backed by sand dunes with watersports and boat trips available. There are dozens of restaurants to suit every taste and pocket from Michelin starred to beach café. There are waterparks, shopping centres, easy sightseeing trips - to Sagres, for instance, where Henry the Navigator set off on his trips, or into the mountains to Silves or Monchique for some cooling breezes or to take the waters at Caldes. The old town of Faro is only 15 minutes away from where you can take a ferry to the Deserted Island to eat coal-grilled locally-caught fish.
