House in Newbiggin, Morpeth, Northumberland, England - Delightful Classic Beach House With A Modern Chic

The house has an open plan sitting room and dining area with exceptional sea views. It has a free standing log burner and plenty of logs. There is a fully equipped kitchen with electric hob/oven and dishwasher. The beach is accessed by steps from the front garden. There are three bedrooms upstairs with two having direct sea views. The large bathroom has a toilet, bath and over head shower. Towels are supplied.

About Mrs Patricia Quinn

My family are originally from Northumberland and whilst visiting my mother, we came across our delightful house.

With my husband and myself both leading busy lives, we find walking the beaches during the day and then settling in front of our log burner with a glass of wine the perfect way to relax.

Our grown up chidren also enjoy a weekend break at the house with their partners; although they tend to go into Newcastle upon tyne for lively bars, posh restaurants and the theatre, as it is only a 25 minute drive away.

Why Mrs Patricia Quinn chose Newbiggin-by-the-Sea

We bought the house because of its perfect seafront position. It has direct access to the beach. It offers wonderful coastal walks.

What makes this house unique

The large farmhouse table is ideal for dinner parties with room enough for friends and family; whilst enjoying a sea breeze and stunning views on a summer night.

Sea fishing from the beach is an early morning treat and the dogs are allowed on the beach from Sept until April but children can go any time !

Ideal location on the sea front. Great for exploring the Northumberland area and if necessary a direct bus into Newcastle. Brilliant for fishing and my dog just loved it.

Lovely place, very comfortable , well equipped,will go there again.

We are both retired, and not as active as we would like to be, so being able to sit in some comfortable chairs by the window was just wonderful for us , you have to enter via the back gate , so you wonder what to expect, it is a lovely place to stay ,

Clean Warm and Comfortable with stunning views

We had a really happy 3 days in this lovely little house overlooking the sea, we loved the small touches: a welcome pack with coffee and cake and milk in the fridge. The area is beautiful, we particularly enjoyed the Woodhorn museum, a 6 minute drive away. Didn’t really want to leave !

The biggest plus is that you are right on the beach.

Excellent for the dogs.

Felt relaxed and comfortable, there were not, as in some properties, lots of notices around the house with warnings and instructions, which are off putting.

Direct access to sandy beach, boat launch 600 yards with local fishing boats.

Travel:

Newcastle airport 15 mins. Train station 10 mins by local taxi.

Distances:

Newbiggin heritage centre is 800yds. Warkworth castle is 12 miles . Morpeth town and gardens 8 miles. Woodhorn colliery and church 2 miles.

Further Details:

A car is essential for enjoying the Northumberland coastal route and its many lovely restaurants which tend to be located near your chosen destination for the day. Local spa shop, cash point and village shop within 5 minute walk. ASDA hypermarket 2 mile.
