Can Rava was built in the middle of the last century and for many years it was home to farmers and stone-masons who worked on the surrounding land. During renovation 3 double bedrooms have been created for a total capacity of 6 people; one of the bedrooms has 2 single beds.

The house is set within a landscape with indigenous fruit trees. The large private swimming-pool is located in a beautiful garden, creating a natural atmosphere. Additionally there is a traditional Mallorcan windmill which adds to the authenticity of the finca.


Situated in a quiet area in the south-east of Majorca, Can Rava offers 3 double bedrooms, two en suite bathrooms and a large private swimming pool, and is ideal for enjoying a relaxing holiday with your family. It features a traditional Majorcan porch and terrace, and an impressive setting surrounded by centuries-old carob and almond trees, not to mention a majestic windmill built in the traditional Majorcan style.

There is also a built-in brick barbecue. Notable features include large carob trees and an extended area of ground that lies within a completely private space.


Can Rava has three double bedrooms: two with double bed, and one with two single beds. We provide pillows, cushions, blankets and towels for each bedroom.

One bathroom features a bathtub, and the other a shower. All the bedrooms enjoy direct access to the bathrooms.

We provide portable fans for the hotter months.


The kitchen has been refurbished in keeping with its original design from 60 years ago. We've preserved the original tiles, fireplace and pantry, all in the Majorcan style of the 1950s. A full range of kitchen appliances is available: fridge-freezer, toaster, coffee maker, microwave oven, gas hobs, electric oven and kettle. And you'll also find all the cooking utensils you need: dishes, pots, cutlery, glasses, etc.

Rest of the house

There is a living room with a 3-person sofa and two armchairs, as well as a television set (free satellite channels are available). The house also has a living room/dining room with a table and 6 chairs. WiFi is available all over the house.

Outside, there is a small laundry area with washing machine, clothes horse and cleaning utensils.


12 km from the nearest beach and 5 km from the town. Situated in an area that radiates peace and tranquillity in the heart of the countryside, but with ready access to everything you need.


Previously home to farmers, our fincas are between 60 and 200 years old. Our grandparents lived in them, and now it's our turn to look after these traditional farmhouses.


Can Rava finca is owned and directly run by the Matas-Barcelós family. We offer a friendly, informal and direct service with no intermediaries or agencies.


With its setting, location and history, Can Rava epitomises 20th-century Majorca at its most rural.

Can Rava -the name of this finca- was constructed by my grandparents who were farmers and stone-masons. So it's a piece of Mallorca's history where our guests will relax while they smell that past time.

I feel really lucky to not having to buy this property: it has no price.

old, rural, fabulous......

Overall this was a beautiful pieceful property to stay in. The owners are really lovely. We arrived very late at night but was still greeted with wine and sweet breads..yum yum....We spent two weeks here visited areas all around by car. We had a couple of minor issues that were very quickly sorted out. If I had to say anything at all that could improve the kitchen is more work space is needed. Couldn't fault the pool, enough shade if needed. I wanted to book again this year but was pipped to the post and our dates have been booked already but we will see you guys again soon....Thank you very much francisco and your parents for a really nice stay....We now want to live there.....hehehehehe....Sorry for the very late review and happy renting to you.

Oase der Ruhe

Die Finca Can Rava ist eine Oase der Ruhe. Mitten in der Hochsaison hat man hier das Gefühl, man sei alleine auf der Insel. Nun gut, die schönen Strände und Buchten sind eine knappe halbe Stunde entfernt, aber dafür kann man in dem wirklich großen und herrlich angelegten Pool gute Runden drehen, und die Orte Felanitx und Cas Concos sind nicht weit. Die Finca ist umgeben von ursprünglichem Ackerland, das einen im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes erdet. Wer indes turbulentes Urlaubsleben sucht, ist hier am falschen Platz. Schattige Plätze, schöne Bäume und blühende Büsche geben dem ehemaligen Bauernhaus einen ganz eignen, mallorquinischen Charme. Auch im Inneren des Hauses geht es mallorquinisch zu. Die dicken Wände und die hohen Räume halten das Haus angenehm kühl, alte Möbel sorgen für Authentizität, und es ist genügend Platz, um sich als Familie auch mal aus dem Weg zu gehen. Die Küche ist klein, aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet, dafür hat man beim Abwasch einen schönen Blick in die Landschaft, in der man nach einem entspannten Urlaubstag herrliche Sonnenuntergänge genießen kann. Wir haben uns in der Finca Can Rava rundum wohl gefühlt. Und das Beste: Wir haben schon wieder gebucht!

Das authentische Mallorca

Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit! Wir hatten einen herrlich entspannt, entschleunigenden Urlaub hier. Ein wundervolles Haus mitten auf dem Land und weit abseits vom Trubel. Zitrus- und Mandelbäume, schöner Garten mit Pool. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit alten Möbeln. Alles in allem eine schöne Mischung aus elegant und authentisch. Very nice.

so und so

Wir waren zu zweit im Mai in der Finca. Wir sind sehr nett begrüßt worden, als Geschenk gab es Früchte, Wein, einen Kuchen und Bier lag auch im Kühlschrank.

Die Möbel in der Finca sind sehr schön.

Bei der Führung durch den Außenbereich mussten wir leider feststellen, dass der Pool nicht sauber war. Die avisierte tägliche Poolreinigung fand während unseres Aufenthaltes leider nicht statt. Es gab zwar einen Kescher, dieser war aber alt und das Netz undicht. Am Pool fehlten die Rückhalteklappen, auch aus diesem Grund war der Pool nicht sauber, die Klappen sollten unbedingt angeschafft werden. Die Auflagen der Liegen waren austauschwürdig, die ursprüngliche Farbe konnte man nur noch seitlich erkennen. Die Stühle auf der Terrasse waren nur bedingt für längeres Sitzen tauglich, bei den Stahlrohrrahmen besteht Verletzungsgefahr durch Ecken und Kanten.

In einem Bad (zwischen 2 Zimmern) lief das Wasser abends bis zum nächsten Morgen ab, hier sollte ebenfalls nachgebessert werden.

Die Lage der Finca ist gut, zum Lidl 5 Min, in die Stadt 6 Min mit dem Auto, das unbedingt erforderlich ist. Zu den Stränden ist es weiter als beschrieben, nach es trenc waren wir länger als eine halbe Stunde unterwegs.

Unbedingt achten sollte man darauf, keine Essensreste liegen zu lassen, die Ameisen sind sofort da, woher auch immer diese dann kommen. Auf dem Land sind kleine Tierchen halt immer präsent, das sollte man wissen.

Wem die Lage wichtiger als einzelne Ausstattungsmerkmale ist, der kann hier mit Abstrichen eine gute Zeit verbringen.

Owner's Response: Dear Andreas, Thanks for your review. Please let me add some comments: · You arrived 2 hours before the accorded time, so the swimming pool was not ready at all. You claimed that and we put all our effort on fix it quickly. · Swimming pool is/was cleaned EVERY DAY at 6:30 or 7:00 am in the morning because we don't want to disturb our guests while they are swimming or relaxing in the garden. Otherwise, why didn't you call us if it was as dirty as you mention in your review? We hadn't any notice from you and we thought that you we're happy. We gave you TWO phone numbers to call us in case of problems. Like other guests do, you should have called us, explain all the things that were wrong and we had quickly fix them. I think that to write a review from this matters more than one year later it's not the best solution. Of course that there could be problems but that's why we give a telephone number in order to fix it (ie. water in the bathroom). · Obviously, in the country there are bees, ants and little insects. Country has advantages: quiet place, far from the city and polution but it has this little inconvenience. Did you hear the birds singing? · We're sorry about the mistake of 12km to Es Trenc. There are exactly 22km. I didn't thought that 10km were a big problem for you, comming from Deutschland where distances are a little bigger. Anyway we'll change it and we apollogize. Thanks for your suggestions. We're always taking into account our guest's suggestions to improve they stay experience. I hope you have better vacation stays in the future. Francisco

The property is located in Son Negre. It is a small rural district located in the deep Mallorca and whose main characteristic is the countryside, its traditional agricultural houses and a small nucleus with a small church of more than 200 years old.

The environment is very quiet and pleasant and is located in the southeast of Mallorca just 5 kilometers from the nearest town: Felanitx, with 20,000 inhabitants.

Very close (2 kilometers) you can visit some wineries and international vineyards such as Ànima Negra or horse tours.

Son Negre is just 15 minutes drive from the most famous coastal areas: Es Trenc, Portocolom, Portopetro, Cala Mondragó or Cala d'Or.
