An amazing weekend in a stunning location. Fantastic hospitality! Highly recommend Clipper House!

  • 5 of 5

I spent a fabulous weekend with 12 friends at Clipper House for my 30th birthday. On arrival, was greeted by the owner Sam, who had been wonderful in helping to organise the weekend prior to our arrival. The house is gorgeous, with the most amazing views over Looe from the living room and most of the en suite bedrooms. The facilities were amazing, a fabulous bar area with large drinks fridge, a large very well kitted out kithchen, a games room, music system, and gorgeous bedrooms! Sam had also added lots of lovely little touches like freshly baked scones, fresh fruit and flowers, which made us feel very welcome. We then had a delicious 3 course meal catered by Jonny, Sam's brother who is an amazing chef! The brothers were an amazing team, we felt like we were having dinner at a 5 star restaurant!

I highly recommend a stay at Clipper house, especially for a special occasion with a big group. We all wished we could have stayed longer, and will be back again!

Clipper House has the Wow Factor!!

  • 5 of 5

The house is beyond amazing, the views are outstanding, and I had the most amazing Hen Weekend at The Clipper. I could hardly believe my eyes when we pulled up to this gorgeous house looking out across the sea, harbour and Looe itself. Sam is the perfect host and along with his friend Sophie they really helped make the weekend fantastic. The added luxury of having Sam and Sophie cook for us on Saturday and Sunday really made my hen weekend perfect, so friendly, welcoming, they really could not do enough for us which meant we all had an amazing relaxing weekend. The bedrooms are all decorated to a high standard as well as the bathrooms and everything was perfectly clean and tidy. The added touches of reading books being available, cream teas and a very well stocked games cabinet were additional wow factors. We were a diverse bunch of girls with differing styles and tastes but were all equally impressed with The Clipper and have all said how much we would like to return. From what those organising my hen weekend have told me Sam was most helpful with making my weekend extra special, even helping get the girls in touch with a sea glass jewellery maker who came in and did a master class at the house with us which was so "my cup of tea". We loved the fact that the sun room/lounge had enough seating that we could all chill out and spend time together as well as the dining room. The games room was again for us a massive bonus and was used all weekend. I really can not recommend Sam and The Clipper enough, it was beyond perfection... just totally outstanding!!

Beautiful accommodation in a great location

  • 5 of 5

What a fantastic weekend at this amazing accommodation, it is even better in person than the pictures let on! With a total of 27 people we booked the house and two apartments, the house is extremely spacious, airy, fully equipped and has beautiful views from the lounging area and all front bedrooms. The location is brilliant, having never been to Looe we thoroughly enjoyed our short walk to the harbour, shops and beach.

I highly recommend this place for a holiday escape whether it be a couple of days to a week or longer. I would definitely return. Many Thanks.

Ozzy's 50th

  • 5 of 5

Booked this for my 50th there was 13 of us in total, we had already been to meet Sam on a previous stay in Looe in November so already new what the property was like. Sam welcomed us and showed us all around and was always a phone call away if we needed anything. The property is beautiful and the views are amazing, we didn't really leave only for a meal on the Saturday night as there was no need the house is fully equipped and comfortable. We all absolutely loved it and are already looking to stay for a week, the property is spotless, really comfortable and in a fantastic location.

Wonderful Christmas Break

  • 5 of 5

A group of 11 of us (plus 3 dogs) stayed here to celebrate Christmas. The property itself is excellent with plenty of space. A lounge area with wonderful views of Looe, which was even better at night with the Christmas lights around the harbour. The dining room had two large tables which can be moved to create the perfect seating arrangement. The bar area was great place to congregate during the evening. The Kitchen was well equipped and as the property used to be a hotel it has a very large cooker/oven, which does take a bit of getting used to. The bedrooms and all en-suite and very comfortable with the rooms at the front also benefiting from the wonderful views.

Sam, who manages the property, couldn't be more helpful, both in the run up to and during our stay. The scones that were waiting for us on our arrival were a nice touch and were delicious.

All in all a wonderful property which I would highly recommend.

Sandy beach East Looe

The sandy beach at Looe is a popular family destination. Children love to scramble among the many rock pools, and can also enjoy swimming in calm waters. There are also opportunities to try boating and sporting activities in the nearby bay.

Further Details:

The busy fishing port of Looe is one of south Cornwall’s prettiest resorts. Sandy beaches, scenic boat tours and excellent fish restaurants are all within easy reach. And if you want to abandon the car for the day, take the train that runs between Looe and Liskeard. Further afield, this ancient county claims legendary stories of King Arthur and daring pirate raids. There’s an assortment of boat trips, offering chances to fish or simply view the sights. St. George’s Island is just off the beach or you can travel along the coast. Seasonal activities. Looe is an all-year-round resort. Spring and summer are the best times for enjoying the many outdoor activities, including coastal walks, swimming and water sports. The summer highlight is Festival of the Sea, in June, offering a host of competitions, dancing, craft fairs, street entertainments, exhibitions and fireworks. At Christmas, the town glitters with illuminations along the quay. Other festivities include a fair, torch-lit procession, disco and choral service. And on New Year’s Eve, there’s a fancy dress party and spectacular firework display.
