Lovely accommodation, especially suited our grandchildren who loved the space outside. The lounge was spacious and very comfortable. Great bunk bed room for four kids.

Fantastic Family Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at this wonderful property late Friday evening although still glorious sunshine! The property itself was very clean, with great character and extremely well equipped for all 7 of us! The kids disappeared to be found in the streams, swinging from the tress and playing football in the fields, what bliss!! Jane and her family were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble at all. Highly recommend this wonderful property and secluded location with plenty to keep 5 kids and 2 dogs entertained...! Thank you all very much indeed.

Perfect Christmas

  • 5 of 5

From booking to leaving the owners were super accommodating. We wanted our Christmas holiday to start on a Wednesday and they were the only owners to have the forsight to recognise that with Christmas being on a Friday the normal Friday changeover wouldn't make sense and they happily took our booking.

A couple of days before we got there the owners called to ask if we would like the Christmas tree fully decorated or would the children enjoy this, of course the children loved arriving to do this fun job. You really can't put a price on this attention to detail in customer care!

The house itself was spacious but unintimidating, so we could really relax and enjoy ourselves without a worry in the world. The 4 kids played endlessly in the beautiful grounds building dens and on rainy we enjoyed games around the log burner. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils to cook a proper Chrimbo feast.

For people that want a proper countryside encounter where life is simple and undisturbed, kids can get muddy and run around freely this is the place for you. Probably one of my most enjoyable Christmas's ever and we were in such raptures bragging to everyone about our perfect Christmas upon our return that another friend swiftly booked for Easter! Well done Yabbacombe 10 out of 10 from 2 very satisfied families!!!

Fantastic location, ideal for families

  • 5 of 5

A great find. We were 2 families consisting of 4 adults and 4 children. We stayed in the Old Farmhouse over new year for a week.

Jane and Robert were really welcoming and offered advice on the local area. The children loved the massive garden with ponds, streams and woodland to explore. The house was well set up and there were 4 good sized bedrooms. The big farmhouse kitchen fitted all of us easily.

The area itself is beautiful, with great beaches, pubs and cafes. We enjoyed lots of walks too. Nearby Kingsbridge has 2 supermarkets and there is a small shop in the village.

We would love to go back!
