Our beautiful one bedroom Apartment is 5 STAR GOLD RATED, has ON-SITE DESIGNATED CAR-PARKING, has BREATHTAKING SEA VIEWS through the good size window (with padded window seat) in the sitting area, and is tailor made for couples, two individuals or single guests.

Our Apartment is the ideal base, not only for holidaying guests, but also honeymoon, birthday celebration, wedding anniversary and all other anniversaries, not forgetting Christmas and New Year, guests. St Ives holds a very lively New Year's Eve fancy dress Street Party each year.

We welcome one SMALL dog, with our agreement, but he/she must be house trained, must not be on heat/in season and must not be a puppy.

Our Apartment is spacious, light and airy, modern and comfortable and has striking neutral interior design chosen, personally, by us.

Everything in our Apartment is of very high quality for our guests' comfort and enjoyment, from the unique oil painting and print painted by two very skilled local Artists, to the White Company silk bed throw.

There is a 42" plasma TV with DVD player, Wi-Fi and an Ipod docking station in the sitting area, and a plasma TV in the bedroom. There is also a selection of DVDs, games and books.

We give a complimentary welcome pack, complimentary toiletries, complimentary towelling mule slippers and, the use only, of two towelling robes.

All bedding and towels are provided.

We are very proud that we have been chosen by PENHALIGON'S, an exclusive brand of Perfumers, to offer their complimentary size toiletries in our Apartments.

PENHALIGON'S was founded in 1860 by William Henry Penhaligon, originally a Cornish Barber, who moved his family from Penzance to London, and was appointed Court Barber and Perfumer to Queen Victoria.

PENHALIGON'S were awarded a ROYAL WARRANT from Queen Alexander in 1903, and today PENHALIGON'S still hold TWO very long standing ROYAL WARRANTS granted by HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh.

The Apartment building, a former Mine Captain's house in days gone by, has been tastefully renovated into 9 Apartments.

The Apartment is located in an "oasis of calm" in Carbis Bay, with a pathway/steps leading down to the beach and coastal path from the peaceful communal garden.

If it is total peace and quiet that you are looking for, then this is the Apartment for you, although St Ives is only a few minutes car ride away, or a 3 minute train ride away, with fantastic sea views all the way. Carbis Bay Train Station is within walking distance of the Apartment, with a train into St Ives every hour. There is also a regular bus service into St Ives from Carbis Bay, and a bus stop within easy reach of the Apartment.

The Apartment has the benefit of access to the white sandy beaches of Carbis Bay for surfing, a range of water sports, riding stables, sunbathing and the North Cornwall Coast path is a few minutes away. Within 5 miles there are two 18 hole Golf Courses.

There is a Tesco Supermarket within walking distance of the Apartment, or groceries could be pre-ordered online before arrival. There is also a Costcutter general store, a Pharmacy and a Hairdressing Salon within walking distance.

St Ives is steeped in history, and a century or so ago, was renowed for tin and copper mining and fishing, but wind forward to today, and the mining no longer exists but fishing still does. The North West Cornish Coast is featured in the very popular TV series POLDARK, where it is filmed.

St Ives is relatively unspoiled from those bygone eras, which is why St Ives, encompassing Carbis Bay, is easily one of the UK's most popular holiday destinations. The cobble streets and quaint old buildings are still here which are now mostly upmarket shops and restaurants and bars for dining out.

There are many attractions to visit in St Ives such as the Tate Gallery (currently closed as the building is being extended, but due to open again in 2017), the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and St Michael's Mount in Marazion (a very short car ride away) to name but three.

Lovely views

This property has lovely views across Carbis Bay. Tesco and Costcutters are a few minutes walk away for newspapers etc. The flat is well fitted out with almost everything you require. A microwave would be a good addition and some larger drawers would be helpful as we came in autumn and needed a larger range of clothing. St Ives is 30 minutes walk away along the coastal path but the steep slopes would make it difficult for those with bad knees and hips. Bus services to St Ives, Penzance and further afield are regular as are train services along the St Ives branch line. Overall the flat is ideal for a couple and contributed to an enjoyable holiday.

A 25% deposit is payable at time of booking. The balance of your booking is payable in full not less than 8 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday. Payment by bacs or cheque. Please note that cheques may take up to 15 days to clear. The security deposit is due at the same time as the balance. We aim to return your security deposit within 7 days of your departure.

  • Outside: There is a shared garden with seating area for your use. There is also a bike store. There is a link from private path from garden to link up to walk straight down to Carbis Bay award winning beach or you can take a left and do the coastal walk into St Ives and come out on the beautiful Porthminister beach where you will find the award winning Porthminister cafe - one of the best restaurants in St Ives. There is a reserved car parking space immediately in front of apartments. Access to the apartment is via a small flight of stairs. Tescos is five minute walk from apartment and the train station is also five minutes away. You could enjoy this holiday without a car as there are frequent train and bus services to St Ives and Penzance. A taxi ride to St Ives costs approximately £5.00 and the short walk takes 30 minutes. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, face flannels, complimentary toiletries, cotton wool pads, tissues, 2 dressing robes and slippers, and bedding included. Please note bedding is not provided for the sofa bed. Other: For entertainment there is a 42' plasma TV with DVD player/i-pod docking station and a selection of DVDs, games and books. From September 2011 high speed Broadband is available in No7 which will provide guests with the opportunity to have internet access.
