Villa is absolutely fantastic. Spacious, well-equipped, wonderful views, just couldn’t be better. We had a great time, a perfect week’s holiday for a family of seven.

Do note that this is a review of the villa itself and not a review of Home Away!

I should say the experience of booking through HomeAway was very poor, we were very glad that we were able to communicate directly with the owner otherwise we’d have just given up.

After our stay at the villa from 22nd -29th May unfortunately our stay wasn’t as enjoyable as expected . Many things were not advertised when making the booking . These are as follows

• we wasn’t aware there would be no working WiFi for the first 2 days of our stay this was very disappointing as we have 5 children who could not play on tablets iPads etc , only then to be told by Noel that there will be work carried out on the WiFi during our stay and the workers would be given a key to come and go as they please , this was not acceptable as my wife and sister in law felt very uncomfortable while trying to relax by the pool with several workers walking around the villa .

• We also wasn’t aware that we would not be able to sit outside during the evening as there would be a fire nearly every night on the wasteland at the bottom of the villa , resulting in thick smoke spreading across the whole villa , this was not acceptable especially when 3 of the party members and one in particular suffering from severe asthma , once this was reported to Noel ( the guy who takes care of you while at the villa ) he advised us that Paul the owner was aware of the situation and had already contacted or was going to contact the town hall ? Why wasn’t we made aware of this situation before booking .

• one of the main issues with our stay was the villa next door which was having exterior work done , the whole place was like a building site from early morning approx 7.30 am there was hammering , grinding , sawing etc till late in the evening, having 5 small children with us this was very disappointing as they were all woken up every morning by the noise of the building work , it seems the builders and villa owners next door had no consideration for us what so ever . This noise became our wake up call Monday to Friday during our stay .

• the pool was not cleaned or attended to once during our stay also the towels and bed linen was not changed by Marcus management at any time .

• we was advised by Noel that the late check out would be fine and that he would attend the villa at 17.45 to collect the keys etc and look around as I explained we had a taxi booked to the airport at 18.00 , however we waited till approximately 18.20 for Noel and had to cancel our first taxi and he still never arrived ?

• nearly every internal door in the villa is in desperate need of renewal , the aircon in one room doesn’t work and in the master is very noisy so much it keeps you awake

Superb villa.

Could not find a fault with this villa. One of the best we have stayed in. We were on holidays with our three teenage daughters. They loved their holiday. We had a car so did the Masca valley drive and of course visited Il Teide. These trips are a must do. Villa location is great. Quiet at night. Supermarket, Super Dino, 5 mins drive. Has everything you will need. 5mins to harbour front. Be sure to visit Siam Shopping Mall if you have daughters who love to shop. Noel and Maureen looked after the villa. Lovely friendly couple. Overall a great villa. You won't be disappointed. ENJOY!

We stay at a villa every year and this is by far the best one to date.

The pictures do not justify it. On arrival we were met by Noel and Maureen who are two of the nicest people you will meet. Extremely helpful and full of local knowledge. Now the villa is amazing inside and out. We normally head out every second day but on this holiday it was hard to leave the villa.

We loved it. Booking was easy and Noel and Maureen were there if you needed them. We used Marco a local 7 seater taxi man when we headed out at night.

Once you get down to the coast there is just so many places to visit.

Best villa we ever stayed in and the location is also one of the best - Costa Adeje

Many Thanks for a fantastic holiday.

Quiet, peaceful and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

The villa is exactly as described. Well furnished, very clean and comfortable inside, spacious outside with lots of seating options, a nice garden and very pleasant pool area with views down to the coast.

Noel and Maureen live nearby, were there on arrival to show us around and are available with help and advice if required.

A car makes it easier to reach the promenade area, parking is easy enough, especially towards the Northern end and La Caletta but it is quite possible to walk down and get a taxi back if you wish.

There is an excellent little complex 1/4 of a mile away with a vibrant cafe bar, Fase Uno, serving excellent coffee, beer and light meals at very reasonable prices and a small supermarket for everyday needs - bread, milk etc. Three recent additions to the block since our last visit were a greengrocer selling a good range of fresh fruit and veg, a superb butcher, managed by an Englishman, whose steaks and sausage could not be bettered anywhere and, finally, a new French restaurant opened the week before we arrived. Chef is apparently well known and well regarded and has a loyal clientele - the small place was full on our second visit.

More good news is that Eugene from the Fase Uno is also opening a new restaurant across the road, next to the existing pizza shop. If it is anything like his existing business, it will most certainly be worth a visit.

So, Miraverde is becoming almost self-contained, making the villa even more attractive. Highly recommended.

If walking to El Duque or Fanabe Bay beaches is about 15 mins walking or 5 euros in a taxi.

The nearest airport is Tenerife Sur, there are plenty of taxis and several people carriers. the distance is circa 25km at a cost of 28 to 32 euros.

The old village of Costa Adeje with its bars and restaurants is 10 euros by taxi, also there is the walk called the Inferno that you would have to book. Aqualand (4 euros) and Siam park (6 euros) are close by.

Further Details:

The Gran Sur shopping centre with a supermarket, boutiques, shops, various authentic restaraunts and bars is walking distance and a taxi back to the villa is 3 euros.

In Fanabe Bay and El Duque there are all the shops you need also beaches with beds and umbrellas for hire.
