This London flat is one of our favourite places as it is so central with many London attractions within walking distance. We enjoy using the flat as a base from which to work. It has its own outdoor space for eating, working or just chatting too! We enjoy walking in Regents Park or playing tennis.

Absolute ideal location!

My wife and I spent several days in London about a year ago, however we stayed in an apartment close to 35 minutes outside of London, making it more difficult to get around and enjoy our short time in the city. This go around we rented this lovely apartment right in the Fitzrovia section of London and we could not be happier with how it went.

The location was amazing, less than a 5 minute walk to the tube station, however we only used it a few times as we enjoyed walking the beautiful city, everything was within a 1.5-2 mile walk, all through amazing neighborhoods and lovely architecture, a real breathtaking experience, blowing away our last visit to London.

The flat itself is perfectly appointed for 2, and could potentially get 4 if two are willing to sleep on the pull out sofa, however with just the two of us it was perfect. Fully appointed kitchen, which we did use a few times to make breakfast, good size living area with tv and sofa / dining table, and the best part was the small outdoor patio area, which we used almost nightly for a bottle of wine to top off each day. The only negative, if you can call it that, was the bed itself in the bedroom, it was what I believe was a full size, so it was a bit cramped for two, especially when we are used to a king size bed. The mattress was also not the most comfortable thing, however we made it work and honestly wasn't so bad, but still something to mention.

The bathroom was good sized including a shower / tub combo, no issues with the bathroom or its appointments.

Jane, the owner, was also magnificent, very quick to respond leading up to our arrival and even when we were in London and had a few questions on trash disposal / later check out. She met us at the flat promptly and gave us a great once over on the place as well as our location, listing off some restaurants and general best practices around the area.

When we return to London we will definitely be looking to rebook, and if the flat is not available we will be definitely looking in the same area, absolutely perfect! Lots of restaurants, a quick walk to the really cool SoHo area of London, the museums are all within a quick walk, and Camden market only about 30-35 minutes away. Just typing this all out makes me want to go back, and we just got home last night!

If you are looking to visit London and enjoy walking, I can't recommend the location enough. Even if you don't want to walk the underground is probably one of the best!

Wonderful find in central London

When we arrived to meet Inge who was going to give us keys and walk us through the flat, we were totally worn out. But what a lovely warm welcome!

She wanted to make sure we knew how everything worked but understood we were tired and said to call her any time if we needed to. Prior to this my dealings with owner Jane were easy, all questions answered quickly and money matters sorted.

The flat is exactly as you see in the photos provided. The rooms are small but the amenities are just right.

It's perfectly positioned for walking or catching the tube anywhere - several lines within easy walking. In fact getting out at night just walking around the streets was magic. Regent, Oxford, Marylebone High streets are all an easy walk after dinner or for dinner too! We loved Villandry restaurant in Great Portland Street. We walked through Soho to go to the theatre one night too - so much atmosphere! 

We cooked in the flat - kitchen is pretty small, with an oven and two hotplates; for me a small microwave would be an asset. Breakfast on the terrace was fabulous - we were lucky to get a few warm mornings. And we are had friends drop in and had drinks there too.

For those with "knee issues" like me the first floor two flights of stairs were doable, and stepping into the bath to shower was ok. Only you know how much you can manage.

We slept very well as the bedroom is at the back of the flat, so any business traffic and pedestrians going to work passed us by! However, the flat is above an Italian restaurant which was busy on the warm weekend, with its doors wide open below us, and we had a window open too. But shut the window and move to the bedroom and all was good.

Good places to eat on Cleveland Street include the fish 'n chips and the Brazilian café.

A great 8 night stay catching up with friends - highly recommended - thanks Jane and Inge!

The best of London within easy reach

We enjoyed every minute of our holiday in this little flat, which is very welcoming and well-equipped. All we had to do was unpack and a ready home was waiting for us, already organized. Jane and Inge were very nice and helpful. The flat was clean and ideally located, as there are all sorts of shops, restaurants and supermarkets in the area. Tottenham Court Road is just round the corner. Oxford Street can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes, the British Museum and Regent's park are even nearer. The tube stop near the flat, Warren Street, allows you to go everywhwere in London easily and quickly. A plus is the little terrace where you can comfortably eat. We had quite good weather and were able to use it. The flat is ideal for 3 people, probably a bit small for 4. The kitchen is well equipped but rather small, not suitable for cooking more than a quick snack, which wasn't a problem for us as we had most meals out or got a takeaway. All in all we recommend it and look forward to going back!

Convenient Cental London Location

This compact appartment is ideally situated for cental London. Buses from Great Portland Street go down to Trafalgar Square. We were met at the flat by the owners and were given instructions and a 'Welcome' pack. The flat was neat and comfortable. The balcony is a good place for breakfast and cups of coffee. The street is very quiet for London and very clean.

loved it

We loved our stay. Good location. The terrace is a real bonus, we ate out on it a lot as we had very good weather. Shame the dishwasher was broken, but we managed! A small step ladder or stool would help to reach the top of the kitchen cupboards.

We would like to use this place again. The woman with the keys who also cleaned was delightful. THANKS YOU ALL.

Location

From the Owner

Fitzrovia is a favourite central London location for us so close to the centre with media, clothing, and construction businesses. The street has a community atmosphere with small restaurants, cafes, hairdresser, dry cleaner, shoe repairer and excellent fish and chips. Within a very easy distance are Fitzroy Square, another Fitzrovia centre with a well renowned fish restaurant + trendy new diner and very popular classic London pubs. John Lewis and Oxford street are other irresistible, nearby attractions for me at least!

The flat is in the middle of London with museums, galleries and theatres in easy reach for anyone wishing to indulge a love of culture. Not to mention the comedy clubs too!

Travel:

London airports such as city, Heathrow and Gatwick are accessible by train or taxi. St Pancras station for the Eurostar is a five minute walk. There is excellent access to the tube stations with Great Portland Street and Warren Street only 2 minutes away and the main bus stops.

Distances:

The flat is superbly located to enjoy many delightful aspects of London, Primrose Hill and Hampstead are accessible by foot or tube as well as the bohemian life style of Camden and the Round House. For the cricket lover Lords is a very pleasant walk across the park!

Further Details:

There are fine hotels and restaurants in the small streets in the very near vicinity with a famous fish restaurant at the heart of Fiztrovia only 2 minutes away. The famous Charlotte Street and Bloomsbury for the British Museum are a short walk. The British library is close by for the book lover.

On nearby Tottenham Court Road, there is a Waitrose, Marks and Spencer, Tesco and Sainsbury for food shoppping with cash points nearby.
