Quality apartment in Los Gigantes, very peaceful location, 10 minute walk To The Beach

A very well-equipped one bedroom apartment with amazing sea views from the terrace across the Atlantic and towards the island of Gomera. The apartment is ideally situated in a quiet location with free on-road parking if you decide to hire a car. It benefits from being within walking distance of all amenities and the beach. There is a shared pool between just 12 apartments with sun loungers, which is heated between Oct-Apr. The terrace enjoys all day sun throughout the year and is perfect for alfresco dining. The apartment has free Wifi with UK TV Channels and a 42" TV in lounge and DVD player. There is a large stock of DVDs for our guests to use during their stay.

We choose this property due its fantastic location, spaciousness, uninterrupted sea views and that it enjoys full day sun throughout the year.

The apartment is close to all amenities including the village, restaurants, bars and the beach. Everything is within a 10 minute walk.

The apartment benefits from a large terrace which is ideal for alfresco dining and is a perfect spot for watching the amazing Los Gigantes sunsets.

How relaxing do you want it?

My wife and I have stayed at this apartment for a pre-Christmas sunshine break for a few years now, and it is a very comfortable home-from-home where we can just "chill" on the sun terrace, swim in the private pool (for the 10 apartments in the block) a few steps from the door, or wander off to explore either down into Los Gigantes and around the harbour or set off around the coast to La Arena and beyond. The location is excellent as it offers good options to get out-and-about and explore.

The apartment has benefited from a refurbishment this year to keep it fresh and inviting, and this was much appreciated by the two of us. The terrace is west-facing looking towards La Gomera so it is ideal for catching those afternoon and evening sunshine rays. On a clear day you can see La Palma too, to the north west. Most of the terrace furniture is new this year.

If you enjoy self-catering the set-up is ideal, the kitchen area having a cooker and hob (electric) and a big American fridge-freezer, and two new comfy bar-stools to perch on for your meal and a glass of wine (or two!). Or just set yourselves up outside to eat on the sun terrace. If you prefer to eat out there are plenty of good options within a 5 minute walk.

The bed is big and comfy. My wife and I are 6' and 6' 2" and there are acres of space in the bed to stretch out and sleep, so no problem with feet danging over the bottom of the bed or bumping bums in the night!

So give it a go if you fancy it. But do not leave it too late as there are lots or return bookings each year and you may be unlucky and miss out.

Really Good Apartment

Very clean and spacious apartment with an excellent view over Los Gigantes.

The apartment is located about a 10 minute stroll away from the centre of the village where there are plenty of decent restaurants and although we're pensioners we didn't find the third floor location of the apartment to be a problem.

There's quite a large British expat community in the village (and I can see why), which meant that there were more British pubs and bars than we are used to, but having said that we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and hopefully will return to both the resort and the apartment.

Lovely week

We have just spent a week at this lovely apartment. It was exactly as described by the owners and other guests. It was very comfortable and well equipped and very clean. We have no complaints at all. Lovely views of the ocean and as others have said the veranda a nice sun trap in the afternoons. The weather was very hot and the fans were very much needed. The pool was warm enough to swim in. Los Gigantes is a nice village. As mentioned by others there are a lot of steep hills (including getting to and from the apartment) so if you are not fit before you go then you will be by the end of your trip!

A lovely apartment just perfect for relaxing break and sun tan

The property is well set up and clean. Lovely views and its a ten minute walk sway to the centre of the town or to the super market. We had excellent instructions to there and chilled in the afternoons when the terrace got the sun until it set. The pool is really nice and we were the only people using it.

Fabulous apartment

This was our fifth stay in this fabulous apartment and we have our sixth stay already booked in! This large apartment offers everything you could want, the owners really have thought of everything. The large terrace is perfect for sunbathing during the day and relaxing with a glass of wine watching the sun go down-the views are stunning. Can't wait to go back!

Fabulous apartment with stunning views

We spent a fantastic 9 days in this apartment, which was spotless and well furnished. There was everything required for a self catering stay. The terrace was amazing, providing fantastic views. It was also great having a pool on site, great way to cool down in the hot weather, it was also very quiet.

The apartment is in a lovely quiet spot, although there are a lot of steps the views definitely makes up for it.

We would not hesitate recommending this apartment and look forward to returning in the future.

Location

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

There is a good selection of nearby beaches. The volcanic black sand beach in Los Gigantes is a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Also within walking distance (15 minutes walk or 5 minutes by car) are the blue flag beaches of Puerto Santiago and Playa de la Arena. Playa San Juan has a white sandy beach with excellent beach bar facilities and is 10 minutes by car.

Travel:

Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofia) is a 45 minute drive. Car hire is available at the airport and in the village. Taxis are readily available at the airport and are approximately 60 Euros each way. There is also a taxi rank in the village.

Distances:

The local towns of Playa San Juan and Alcala are within a 15 minute drive or short bus ride.

There is a lovely coastline walk to Puerto Santiago (approx 1 km) and Playa de la Arena (approx 3 km).

The apartment is within walking distance of all the restaurants, supermarkets, tennis courts and the marina. In Los Gigantes everything is accessible on foot.

Further Details:

Daily fishing and whale/dolphin watching trips leave the marina. There is an accredited diving school in the marina offering courses for beginners and more advanced divers. Walking is very popular and organised tours can be arranged via agents in Los Gigantes. Just a few minutes walk from the apartment are pay and play tennis courts with an excellent restaurant.

There is a great selection of restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The picturesque marina is an excellent spot to enjoy a glass of wine or beer late afternoon. Most of the bars offer evening entertainment.

Wifi is available locally.

Los Gigantes has an ideal climate for year round holidaying.

A Visitors Information book is available in the apartment detailing restaurants and places of interest you may wish to visit during your stay.

Bookings can be made by telephone or email, direct with the owner. A non- refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking and the balance paid 28 days before departure.

Changeover Day:
We are flexible on changeover days and ask for guests to check out by 10.00 am so that the apartment can be prepared for our next guests. Guests will be able to check-in from 2.00 pm.


Notes on prices:
The price is in UK pounds for two people per week.
Please note that for any bookings of less than one week (7 nights), there will be an additional charge of £65.00 for the check-out clean.
