In the heart of the busy Cornish market town of Penzance opposite the sailing club, these attractive apartments have been tastefully and thoughtfully converted by the owners from the first and second floors of an old listed wharf house. The atmospheric interior of the wharf house retains many of its original features, including beams, some of which originate from the wood of old sailing ships, and exposed granite walls. In its heyday, this 19th century building would have had immediate water frontage but is now ideally situated for the town's many local amenities and access to the beautiful & unique Penwith peninsular. Day trips to the Scilly isles,scenic rail journey to St Ives, sea-fishing, sailing, cycling, amazing beaches, Cornish coastal paths & so much more can all be enjoyed within easy distance of the property.

About Myriam Stirling
My name is Myriam Stirling, born and raised in Germany by parents who all their lives owned and managed high quality hotels. I was already involved in many important chores around the hotel life and business from small age on-wards and grew up providing highest standards to guests. My father in law Jonathan Stirling bought the Wharf House off the former owners Penny and Kevin O'Neill in 2015 who did an amazing job developing the Wharf from a restaurant to 7 beautiful holiday apartments. Our job is now to keep the exceptional standard but also improve and maintain the apartments with up-to-date reservation management and on-going enhancements throughout the property inside and out.
We are committed to giving our guests the best possible holiday experience and endeavour to improve & update our apartments on a regular basis.

We offer cycle storage during your stay & luggage storage for those who are travelling by public transport, arriving early or catching a late train.
- Booking Notes:
Reserving an apartment is easy with our online booking system - most bookings run from Saturday to Saturday during the summer months but we offer short breaks of 3/4 days during quieter times of the year.
For those who wish to book directly with us, we accept credit or debit card payments, cheques & bank transfers.
A 25% deposit is required to secure a booking and the balance is due 10 weeks prior to arrival.
Damage deposit - we ask for credit card details or refundable £150 cheque.
Our changeover day is usually Saturday during the summer months but we are very flexible during quiet times of the year from October to December and January to April. Arrival 3pm and departure 10am
Notes on prices:
Please note that we offer a certain amount of flexibility during the out of season months and are happy to provide short breaks of 3 or 4 days. Activity and Interests
Penwith District has some of the country’s most beautiful beaches & coves with miles of sand at Mount’s Bay on the South and Hayle & St Ives on the North Coast including numerous secluded coves - Porthcurno, Pedn Vounder, Porthgwarra, Porth Chapel in the far west. Excellent surfing opportunites at Sennen Cove, Gwenver, Hayle & Porthmeor Beach in St Ives. Nearest beaches to Penzance are in Mount’s Bay at Marazion, Eastern Green & Long Rock. In addition there are approx 300 mls of coastal paths.
Many of our guests choose to travel to Penzance by train and use our excellent public transport system, but we have private parking for those travelling by car. As The Wharf Apartments are located right in the middle of Penzance, shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes, cinema, banks, post office, train, bus and coach stations, art galleries, museums, leisure centre, gardens and tennis courts etc are all within walking distance. There are 2 major supermarkets & petrol stations situated just to the east of the town. Penzance boasts the only promenade in Cornwall which was built in 1844 after the railway reached the town and tourism started to take off in earnest. To the east of the promenade is Jubilee Pool, an Art Deco lido which was built in 1935 and is open throughout the summer months. St Ives - St Ives is a great day out for everyone and as the town is only 6 miles north of Penzance is very accessible. Car parking is limited in the town, the best way to visit is by train (runs all day from Penzance – St Erth and change for St Ives) The short train journey is one of the most picturesque in Britain. Local buses run frequently from Penzance Bus Station or in the summer months the hop on, hop off Open Top Bus is a great alternative. Minack Theatre - A uniquely situated open-air theatre on the cliffs at Porthcurno, near Lands End. Performances take place most evenings and some matinees. - Notes on accommodation: We can accommodate a baby occupying a travel cot in all apartments except Laura Knight. What we provide: bath & hand towels, flannels, high quality complimentary toiletries, cotton bed linen, non feather duvets & pillows (2 per person & spares) complimentary terry towelling slippers, T Towels & all cleaning products including washing-up liquid, washing powder, dish-wash tablets, tissues, toilet paper & spare rolls. Please note that we do not provide beach towels. Change of bedlinen & towels on stays of more than a week. Hair dryer, iron & ironing board. Books, games dvds & videos. Travel cot & highchairs are free of charge - please state if required at time of booking.
