Casa Pietra offers The luxurious 4 bedroomed Main Farmhouse (sleeps 6 to 8) and / or the Casetta (sleeps 2 to 4). Casa Pietra has its own outside sanctuary with a plunge pool, fruit trees and a child's play area (if required). The interior is elegant and simple, with restored brick vaulted ceilings, traditionally Italian and with all the modern facilities you would expect. The only intrusive sounds are the cuckoos calling, yet you are only 5 minutes to the town of Atessa, and 40 minutes away from the airport town of Pescara, and 20 minutes to Lanciano, where stylish shopping and night life are in abundance. The estate is tranquil and designed to capture the Italian sun, so you may choose not to make the short drive to the beautiful unspoilt beaches, to pick up a bargain from the local markets, attend one of the numerous fiestas or to enjoy the wonderful Italian hospitality of food and locally produced wines!
I come from a senior management professional career, but fell in love with Italy, its buildings, scenery, food, wine, mountains beaches and people. I liked it so much, I bought a property here, and now I live here most of the year.
Robert Chambers purchased this farmhouse in 2006
I have always had a dream of having a home in Italy, probably from my childhood memories of family holidays with my parents. When I discovered Abruzzo I was blown away! I have found somewhere with beautiful sandy beaches and warm sea – but also mountains with snow in the winter! I love the beach, I love to ski, and this place had both….And all this just three hours drive to the Amalfi coast, Rome and Tuscany
When I then discovered that I could fly here with a budget airline to one of four airports, and the food and wine were excellent and the people incredibly friendly, I bought the house.
The house is only 40 minutes away from Pescara airport, 20 minutes to the beach and 5 minutes to the local hill top town, Atessa. However this house is sitting in the middle of a little valley, with views of the sea and Atessa. All you will hear is the odd tractor in the fields, but most of the noise comes from the many birds that seem to flourish in this beautiful setting.
Had a week in August for a last minute get-a-way. We want somewhere quiet and relaxing. The scenery is breath-taking.
Stayed in the 'apartment' to the main house. Cracking little base with everything you needed. The owner Robert was fantastic and really helpful.
If you like busy places with noise head elsewhere!

Lovely property in a beautiful setting. Owner very friendly and helpful. Location is rural but within minutes plenty of stores, pizzerias etc and towns and villages to explore. Everything you need is in the property. We was lucky enough to stay in the main farm house, which is full of old charm, well decorated rooms in keeping with the restored property. Each room has a picture in of how it originally looked which I thought was a lovely touch. Really enjoyed our stay and when we come back we will stay here again. Thank you
