About the Owner

My Husband and I were both born and grew up in Reeth, when married we moved to the Richmond area, desperate to get back to Swaledale we purchased a local hotel which we ran very successfully for seven years, we were offered the site where our holiday home is as a bolt hole by our son in law and this is the third static we have sited there, Having spent many happy days in the peace and quiet with only nature in so many forms on our doorstep, we now live four miles away, but still grab a break there whenever we can, having moved away for twenty one years, we returned to value all the more the wonderful place were we spent our childhood.

From the Owner

We still enjoy staying in a place where it would never be possible to build a permanent home. to sit eating breakfast with woodpeckers and tree creepers enjoying theirs only two meters away on the bird feeder is something special. who do you think is highest in the pecking order a squirrel or woodpecker?
