4 bedroom Cottage In The Centre Of Appledore, Close To All Amenities

The Captain's House is a grade 2 listed, 4 bedroom property in the centre of Appledore, close to all amenities and 50 yards from the Quay. This light and spacious property has 4 bedrooms located over 3 floors. In addition there is a courtyard garden with BBQ facilities. This is an ideal location for beaches, surfing, cycling, walking, golf and arts and crafts. For younger visitors there is crabbing on the Quay and there is a supply of beach equipment such as body boards, crabbing nets and so on at the property. There is a cot and high chair for the very young.

About Jackie Davorn

We live in London with 3 children and pets. We purchased the property in 2006 when it was totally refurbished. We regularly spend time in Appledore as we love the charm of the village and the fact that there is so much to do on our doorstep.

We hope that visitors to the cottage have as much fun there as we have had over the years.

Appledore has a lot of variety to offer ranging from the various outdoor activities such as the beaches, surfing, cycling, walking and golf to just ambling along visiting the various art and craft shops. there are a number of excellent public houses which serve food and regularly provide live entertainment.

What makes this house unique

With the central location of the property it is less than a minutes walk to the local newsagent and grocery store. In addition being located just 50 yards from the Quay means that right on the doorstep you can amble along the Quay or just sit an admire the view across the estuary to Instow.

Very convenient, well-appointed, comfortable and clean - top marks!

We were very happy here and would highly recommend this dog-friendly cottage in Appledore. Comfy beds, pleasing crockery, cutlery, glassware, bed linen, etc. All the tv/ radio/ wifi etc equipment worked, the showers were good, large fridge freezer, efficient dishwasher, clean oven, etc etc - and the sunny back garden (full of flowers and birdsong) was a great place to sit out, including for a barbecue in the evening. It's a very short walk to pubs, play parks, deli, newsagent, terrific fish and chips, excellent tearoom - you name it.

Captain's Cottage, Appledore.

We found this a beautiful and extremely roomy cottage. The interior is light and airy, fully equipped with all mod-cons but tastefully restored. Best of all there are so many thoughtful and homely touches, from biscuits and tea on arrival to a shed with stuff for the beach. Fantastic for families with a huge attic bedroom that has a sofa, board games, music and TV to keep the kids entertained when the grown-ups are chilling.
