Notes on accommodation: The villa itself is spread across 3 levels & provides light & spacious accommodation combined with original features (stone turret, open fireplace etc.). It is tastefully furnished to a high standard throughout with quality soft furnishings & traditional furniture. All bedrooms & living areas have either a balcony or terrace (providing both shade & sunshine during the day). There are 2 excellently equipped kitchens (fitted with modern appliances), spacious bathrooms and a separate utility room. For added luxury (or just an excuse to escape the sun!) there’s even an indoor pool table. All bedrooms have remote controlled air conditioning which can also be used as a heating system in the cooler months. Outside: Outside it boasts a huge 12mx6m overflow private swimming pool (with Roman steps to the shallow end for children), separate Jacuzzi, BBQ, poolside shower & toilet. The spacious & secluded terrace around the pool has a variety of sun loungers & a separate dining area (perfect for those poolside lunches & evening BBQs). As it receives the sunshine all day this really is the perfect place to relax, take in the sea views or simply admire the surrounding mature gardens filled with Mediterranean plants & trees (hibiscus, pomegranate, palms, fig, bougainvillea, kiwi, birds of paradise, banana, nectarine, cacti, nispero, mandarin, lemon & papyrus to name a few). Utility Room: 1st floor utility room with sink, washing machine, iron, ironing board, clothes airer & direct access to outdoor drying area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen: Quality bed linen, bathroom towels & tea towels provided. Villa cleaned before arrival & on departure. Other: Poolside kitchen with pool table.

The fine golden sands of Son Bou beach are only a 10 minute stroll from the villa. The sand shelves gently into the sea making it safe for smaller children to paddle. The long (2km) beach offers a variety of watersports (pedaloes, banana boats, canoes, scuba diving, wind-surfing etc.), beach bars & even paddling ducks making it an ideal place for families, sun worshippers & water sport enthusiasts.


Car hire (recommended but not essential): All Villa Salamandra guests (staying off-peak) get a 10% discount off car hire with Autos Amigos. Mahon airport is approx 21km away (25 minute drive). Only one on the island & offers a variety of international & domestic routes throughout the year. Regular bus service runs from Son Bou to Alaior & Mahon. Shuttle bus runs to/from the airport to Son Bou. Ferry service to Barcelona & Majorca runs from Mahon (22km away) & Cuitadella (37km away).

Changeover Day:
Friday. Arrivals after 2pm & departure by 10am. However, please ask at the time of booking if you need these times adjusting as we will always try to assist and be as flexible as possible.

£250 non refundable deposit is required for each week booked at time of booking.
Plus a refundable £250 breakages/key deposit, which is refundable 6 weeks after your return.
Full payment due 10 weeks before departure. All payments made by cheque/BACs. Keys arranged on receipt of full payment.
