Banyan Villas are built on two adjacent 800sqm plots, they each provide spacious (250sqm floor space), luxury accommodation for up to 8 people. Each villa offers its own 10 metre pool and jacuzzi enclosed within walled tropical gardens, allowing guests to relax in quiet privacy. Alternatively, located a mere half minute stroll through lush tropical gardens and right next to the beach, the larger communal pool is also available to Banyan Villas’ guests. The two properties can be rented together doubling the space available, catering for groups of up to 14 people who can enjoy the quiet seclusion of the villas' two pools and jacuzzis. Banyan Villas, built in the Balinese style were completed in 2006. The two villas are almost mirror twins of each other, sharing in both size and general living arrangements. Both Banyan Villas are identically furnished, combining elements of western and Asian style, providing high levels of comfort and practicality.

About the Owner

We market our two villas under the name of Banyan Villas, my wife and I opened the villas in 2006 as holiday homes for ourselves and friends and also as a small business venture.

We designed our villas and had them built to our specification, we wanted them to be open and airy yet offer the privacy of private facilities - both villas have a their own private pool and jacuzzi in a secluded walled garden.

The villas are 70 metres from the beach down a garden path and quite safe for children with no roads to cross.

I am originally from UK and settled in Thailand in 2002, my wife is Thai, we live in Bangkok but are frequent visitors to the island of Koh Samui.

We look forward to welcoming you to our part of paradise!

On arriving in Thailand, I decided this was the place to settle for the future and having holidayed in Koh Samui, I could think of no better place for my future retirement! So we decided to build our villas, we didn't want to be in the centre of town, we wanted some privacy and seclusion. Ban Tai/Bang Po met our spec, a quiet area next to the beach, but not too far away from local amenities and restaurants, on Samui nothing is too far away.

Coast/Beach:

The beautiful and tranquil sandy beach is a mere 30 second stroll down a tropical garden path, as is access to a large pool shared by a few other villas close by.

Turning left onto the beach and a 10 minute walk will get you to an excellent Thai restaurant (Jun Hom), right on the beach, with perfect sunset views over the marine park.

Travel:

Car hire is strongly recommended to reach local amenities and shops. Samui International Airport 30 minutes. Nathon - Ferry port 15 minutes

Driving on Samui is relatively simple, there is one main road that circumnavigates the island. An international driving licence should be used. International car hire companies such as Hertz and Avis are present at the airport. Banyan Villas can also arrange car hire for you.

Further Details:

Bophut (Fisherman's Village), which is only 15 minutes away has many restaurants offering cuisine from around the world, there are also numerous shops, a go-kart track, jet-skis and beach dining.

Nathon is the island capital and is the ferry port, small supermarkets restaurants and general shops are 15 minutes away.

30 minutes away, Chaeweng is the main "tourist centre" with bars, thai boxing, a plethora of restaurants and night life and much souvenir shopping, don't forget to bargain.

Elephant trekking, sight-seeing trips, snorkelling, diving and trips to the surrounding islands and marine park can be arranged by our front desk or with one of the many operators in Bophut.

When visiting our villas you will be able to relax in the peaceful secluded garden, enjoy a dip in you own private pool, take a 30 second walk down the garden path to the beach, to use communal pool, bathe in the sea or just to enjoy the evening sunset. If you are feeling like refreshment, a 10 minute stroll on the beach takes you to a Thai restaurant situated right on the beach, great food and pure relaxation. Alternatively you plan on staying in for the evening, you can relax on the balcony and enjoy the cooling evening sea breeze. Shopping and nightlife are only 15 minutes drive away in the Fisherman's village of Bohput, for those who would like something more lively. For us, this is paradise.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The two villas sit adjacent to each other and have a connecting garden gate between the two. This enables the villas to be used either independently in complete privacy or together to accommodate larger parties of up to 14 guests. The villas are located within a private development known as Coconut Paradise, night time gate security is provided plus access and use of a central pool area on the beach front. 100 metres from the villas is the office of Coconut Resorts who provide a front desk service to Banyan’s guests. In addition to providing the twice weekly maid service they will assist with booking taxis, tourist trips and at extra cost can provide additional maid services, baby-sitting, car/motorbike hire and even a Thai cook if you wish to be catered for. Outside: Each Villa is built around its own private pool surrounded by lush gardens filled with tropical colour and screened from outside disturbance by a surrounding wall. The pool is about 1.2 meters deep along its entire 10 meter length and features both a jacuzzi and a bar, the latter with four stools within the pool itself. Sun-loungers are available on the poolside terrace, along with a garden table and chairs that allow for al-fresco dining whenever the mood suggests. Both villas have under cover parking for one car with parking for further cars available outside the villas.
