About the Owner

Hello. I Hope you like the look of my villa and you will spend sometime there soon. I have spent a lot of time and money buying the nicest things for the villa and I hope you can appreciate them too. My son did a lot of work at the villa building the outside wall and laying the patio. The pool has just finished this year and looks spectacular. This is my first venture into renting so any feedback would be appreciated.

Kindest Regards, John.

Many thanks for the use of your fantastic villa for the fortnight. A stunning house in a wonderful area. We had lots to do and enjoyed the pool, garden and rooftop thoroughly.

Definitely I now have a very relaxed and happy family.

Catherine O`Nion – 30/3/12 - We had a wonderfully relaxing break in your lovely villa. The time passed so quickly. It was so quiet and peaceful and yet not too far away was everything we needed. We joined the Palm Sunday procession in Castalla and visited the Saturday market there. We had a wander around the little streets in Castalla, Ibi, Tibi and Jojona in order to get the feel of Spanish life sitting down in some little outdoor cafes enjoying a coffee.

Cindy Little – 3/6/12 - I just wanted to say thank you very much for the use of your lovely villa for our holiday. It was just what we needed after a hectic few months. The villa was fab with everything we needed, in a peaceful location. We ate in the local restaurant a few times which was good and the owners were really friendly. We visited Alicante, which is really nice and went down to the beach for a drink and to people watch. Many thanks again John and we will recommend your villa and you may even see us again in the future.

Very clean and tidy and had all the facilities we needed

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely time at the villa, it was peaceful and quiet, the villa was spotless, as was the pool and the gardens were beautiful. We had air conditioning so were never too hot and the idea of the net around the table area outside was brilliant. We had all the utensils we needed in the kitchen and very fast WiFi so we could check out places to visit.

We didn't venture out to the local restaurants as, although only 5 minutes walk away, they seemed to be along an unlit dual carriageway without pavements. A car is definitely necessary, to visit local shops and other villages in the area. We visited Elche, Valencia and Villena so the villa was an ideal base within short driving distance of all those places.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to going there again

We had a wonderful two weeks at John's beautiful property. The villa was very clean and comfortable and had everything that we could possibly need for our stay. Pool was great and we all made full use of it. Property was very secure and we did not have to worry about our two young children exploring it, very easy to make the pool of limits, if required. Complex was very quiet considering our stay was in August, very relaxing. We had a great time and would recommend this property to anyone. Thank you John.

Great villa, location and holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a great family holiday staying at John's villa. The property was as described, well maintained and clean. The pool was excellent and my kids loved it. There are multiple outdoor areas for relaxing and eating. The local area is very quiet and beautifully set in the hills, there are good views of these form the villa pool and roof area.

The owner John maintained good communication from making the booking right through to the start of the holiday, he then left us to enjoy our stay, but was always contactable via a few methods should we have had any problems, which we did not. The bottle of Cava waiting for us on arrival was a nice touch which went down well.

There are a number of good restaurants in the area, one only a 5 minute walk away, and others within a 5/10 minute drive or taxi ride. We particularly enjoyed our meal at Casa Del Mundo. The local town of Castalla is a 10 minute drive away and has some good cafes, restaurants and was a nice place for a walk. There's a a good supermarket in Castalla as well. Having a car for the two weeks, we also headed a little further in Valencia for the day and to the excellent waterpark in Benidorm.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at John's villa would not hesitate to recommend it.

A superb holiday villa with attention paid to every detail. Every home comfort is provided and the pool and grounds are very well maintained. The area the villa is in is full of great towns, restaurants and places to visit. Could not recommend this villa highly enough.

A Little bit of spanish paradise

  • 5 of 5

There were three adults in our party but the villa could easy holds six. Due to the lay out of the villa and it's grounds there were no problems with space and sun loungers. There is parking for two + cars. The villa is situated in a small rural hamlet with easy access to the towns which have plenty of supermarkets, markets and restaurants. There is also a bar 5 mins walk away which opens lunch times and in the evening. The coast is a easy 35 mins drive where you can find great sandy beaches. The Villa has air con but there is a cool breeze throughout the day and in the evening where you can relax without baking .There's a great coal bbq up on the top next to the large seating area. The villa and the pool was lovely and clean and Karen who maintain it was helpful with any questions. The Villa it self is a Jewel , It more than a rental It's a home with so many little loving touches throughout the place. I would highly recommend this villa .

Great break in the sun

  • 5 of 5

We were two couples - old friends. A perfect location. Such a peaceful and beautiful location. The villa suited our needs exactly. Interior was spotless. The main a/c kept the whole place cool. Exterior very well maintained with good pool. Local representative cleaned the pool and was extremely knowledgable and helpful.

Great evening BBQ's on the roof terrace making the most of the breeze. The local bar/restaurant is of a very good standard and an easy stroll from the villa. You will need a car to take advantage of the central locatation. Nearby towns very friendly with all amenities. Excellent road connections to the coast and inland points of interest. Couldn't have been better.

Location

From the Owner

I bought in Spain because it is only a 2 hour flight away. There are many airlines to use and the flights are cheap. There is an average of 350 days of sunshine a year. The villa is ideal for a long weekend break or longer. There is plenty to do and see around the area for all ages.

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

There are some very beautiful beaches within 35 mins drive of the villa in Alicante, El Campello, Playade San Juan and Benidorm.

Alicante airport, served by EasyJet, Ryanair, Monarch, BA, Thomson and Thomas Cook, is only 30 minutes away. Renting a car to explore the area would be a good idea and as car hire is relatively cheap it makes a lot of sense to hire one.

Distances:

Alicante is approx. 30 mins drive away from the villa. There are plenty of local small towns about 10-15 mins away, where you can buy local produce in the street market or supermarkets for the food and any everyday items you will need. There are also bars, restaurants, banks, doctors and a dentist.

Facilities

From the Owner

The villa is in one of the most beautiful areas of Spain. Up in the mountains surrounded by a forest, it is quiet and peaceful. There are some lovely beaches about 35 mins away and the lively tourist resort of Benidorm is 40 mins away on the new motorway. In the Benidorm area there is a great theme park called Terra Mitica and the Aqualand water park. Benidorm, a cosmopolitan resort, has a great night life and is well worth a visit. Alicante is a cultural town with galleries and museums. It has a wonderful marina that has many chic restaurants and coffee bars. It is lovely taking a stroll along the prom in the evening and sit at one of the coffee bars to watch the world go by.
