About the Owner

We are a family of 5 and a miniature schnauzer who live in Teddington, SW London. We have been visiting Salcombe on holiday for the last 9 years. We fell in love with its beauty and the pace of life, so we decided to buy a cottage there. We really love its location and hope that you will too. It is such a lovely, safe town where the children are given a freedom to wander and enjoy some independence in a way which they do not get in London. We also enjoy the fact that without Sky and wifi, we actually spend time away from screens and the kids have even been known to read and play board games! We definitely don't get down there as much as we would like to, but we hope that you will enjoy your time there. Thanks for looking, The Spencers.

Great bolt hole, in a perfect position!

  • 5 of 5

What a little gem of a place! Its position is brilliant, especially with young children. Being so central meant that we could just pop in and out and make the most of central Salcombe, day and night. The cottage itself has a very homely and relaxed feel, the layout works well if you're taking grandparents as there's a room down stairs that allows for a bit of peace! The games in the house were also very welcome after a fun day out! We loved this place so much, so we have just booked to go again next summer! Roll on July 2016!

Perfect Location

  • 4 of 5

Living in the centre of town ourselves we consider ourselves spoilt by having everything conveniently on the doorstep within easy walking distance, and we were delighted to find this house was the same. Off the Main Street, up a quaint alley with shops, we were close by all the amenities yet once in the house you wouldn't know it - you could be in the med! My husband struggles with walking so he could easily avoid steps and steep hills. The house was perfect for us - family of two adults and two teenage children, and they were able to go off and explore in this safe environment. The house has everything you need for time away. The owners were very accomodating as we too were a last minute booker, so thanks Nicola, we had a lovely time.

Perfect Hideaway

  • 4 of 5

Great location, down a quiet alley but about 30 steps away from Coffee, Beer, Cake and Shops! Comfy accommodation, nice decor with great sofa space, we didn't use the decking much as winter but lovely area for bbq in the summer I should think, I must confess with so many places to eat we didnt use the kitchen much either!. Very accommodation owners as we were VERY last minute and so glad we went. Little piece of heaven in Salcombe. Fab walks from your doorstep in either direction. Happy Adults, Happy Kids and Very Happy Dog!

Great location near to all amenities

  • 4 of 5

Just back from a week with our 3 kids and in-laws. Very handy location right in the centre of the town but down a quiet little lane. Only moments away from all the amenities including Whitestrand quay for all the boat trips and ferry to South Sands. The main bedroom with ensuite is very nice and the sunny lounge with outside decking and barbecue is perfect especially if you've been on a successful mackerel trip!
