A very spacious, stylish home five mins walk from the beach and the picturesque old quarter of Nerja. Living and dining rooms are open plan, forming a large, spacious living area, which is fully air-conditioned with lots of natural light, opening out onto private courtyard. The kitchen is equipped with all you will need, incl electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, washing machine. Two bright and airy large double bedrooms upstairs, with lovely views of mountains and lots of wardrobe space. Large downstairs twin, with a ‘walk-in’ wardrobe. Two bathrooms, one on each floor. For those with young children, each room has plenty of space for travel cot. Two beautiful sun terraces; spacious private courtyard on ground floor has tables, chairs, and brick-built BBQ ideal for alfresco dining. The area is decorated with ceramics, climbing jasmine and herbs. Upper terrace is a beautiful sun trap with great views of mountains.

Why Ghassan Karian chose Axarquia (Costa del Sol)

We bought our house as we knew we would want to keep coming back to enjoy Nerja and Andalucia. We have been coming to Nerja for a few years and fell in love with its charm and authenticity while also being easy to get to and get around. We've equipped it as a home from home and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this house unique

The house is on a quiet residential street, tucked away in its own courtyard and has a peaceful feel about it. At the same time, it is minutes away from everywhere... the beach is 5 mins walk down the hill, 10 mins walk into town, near lots of supermarkets, grocers, bakers, and little cafes and eateries. The house also has two sun terraces - a lovely private terrace downstairs with jasmine trees, herb bushes and other flora. Tables and chairs, its own brick-built BBQ, and other facilities make it ideal for alfresco dining. A second upstairs terrace is perfect sun trap, with great views of the mountains.

Coast/Beach:

Nerja has several beaches set in coves beneath cliffs. The nearest, biggest is Burriana, only 5 mins walk down-hill. While it has lots of shops, cafes, bars and ‘Merenderos’ (beachside open-air restaurants) to choose from, Burriana never feels overcrowded and its sandy shoreline and waters are incredibly clean and mostly calm. Across Nerja town, you will also find four to five coves with small sandy beaches that are charming and secluded. All are easily reached on foot, down steps.

Travel:

Exit the A7 motorway from Malaga Airport (45-60 mins by car) at the signposted junction, take the N340 into Nerja. The house is on Calle Andalucia, off Avenida de Pescia. Parking on the street is free. Once there, it is easy to walk around this small historic town so a car or public transport in Nerja is not a necessity.

Distances:

Located only 50km from Malaga on the Costa del Sol in southern Spain, Nerja is a small coastal town which has retained its authentic Andalusian charm.

There is a wide selection of DVD’s, board games and books for both adults and children, including beach toys and inflatables for the children. The living room has a large TV with DVD player and satellite, with hundreds of European channels. Also available is a music system for CDs and cassettes. The house is equipped with broadband wireless. Car parking outside 129 Nerja is free, although there is limited space during busy holiday periods. Outside: There are two communal swimming pools for use during your stay; both are located approximately 100 metres from the property. Enjoy time on one of the beautiful sun terraces, the upper sun terrace is an ideal place to relax for a spot of quiet sunbathing or for enjoying a meal overlooking the mountains. The sunny balcony, also upstairs, is a perfect suntrap. Spend time in the spacious private courtyard on the ground floor which has tables, chairs, and a built-in brick BBQ, ideal for alfresco dining. The area is decorated with Andalusian ceramics, fragrant climbing jasmine and pink bougainvillea. Utility Room: Store room downstairs with ironing board, iron, heaters. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is well supplied with towels for up to 8 people, inclusive of children. We ask you to please bring your own beach towels.
