About the Owner

We have loved the South West and Cornwall in particular since our very first visit in the 1980s. We used to come here every summer for family camping holidays when the kids were small. It seems inevitable that we would end up living here.

We were there in October and had superb weather - only 1/2 day of showers!! Some interesting old family houses and wonderful sea views.

Very comfortable and well maintained property

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was well equipped and comfortable, large enough for four adults and two children. Location was very good - very short distance to Wadebridge and good place for getting to various places in Cornwall. We would highly recommend it

Cosy Cottage

  • 4 of 5

Spacious cottage in a great location with good sized bedrooms and a lovely bathroom. An extra toilet off the main bedroom was a bonus. Our boys loved the garden and also loved the little playground 100 yards away. We explored Wadebridge, Padstow, Port Issac and Mawgan Porth which has a fantastic beach and excellent surfing facilities (complete with lifeguards)

Burlawn reteat

  • 4 of 5

A comfortable, clean, roomy and well maintained cottage in semi rural location with easy access to Wadebridge and Padstow and the surfing coast line. Good wifi access. Beds very comfortable. A very ralxing freestanding deep bath in the main bathroom. Not fully dog secure though as no gates on the garden but able to keep our dogs in with clever positioning the car. Well worth a visit!

Our stay at forge Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Lovely cottage with a real homely feel, as soon as you step in the door you are on holiday! Very well appointed with everything you need to have a very relaxing stay. The only thing we wish we had taken with us is a BBQ, so if you enjoy open air cooking take a small one with you (although I have been assured there will be one provided next year) The garden is too nice not to enjoy,! The bathroom was amazing with a roll top bath and powerful shower. The kitchen has everything you need and more with a five ring hob, double oven and even a waffle iron!

Forge cottage is a ideally placed to enjoy a holiday in north Cornwall with Wadebridge on the doorstep and several outstanding beaches within a short drive. My children who are 7 and 10 had a really enjoyable time and the wifi helped with the couple of rainy days.

Forge Cottage is a perfect place for a relaxing family holiday and we hope to visit again soon.

From the Owner

Forge Cottage is a typical Cornish cottage in a quiet hamlet, great for getting away from the hustle and bustle. It's only a 5 minute drive into Wadebridge, convenient for shopping and all other facilities. We bought the cottage in 2010 and the whole family has just finished refurbishing it to a high standard. We've installed lots of modern features like solar (PV) panels and an air-source heat pump. This year we have created a new garden and built a garage.
