Villa surrounded by Nature in Central Mallorca but from 15 minutes to the Beach

House restored using environmentally friendly materials. 100% solar energy provided by 74 photovoltaic cells. The floor area of the buildings, inclung the annexes, is around 500m2. The house is situated on a 170,000m2 sheep farm, on a hill 131m above sea level and has magnificent views. It dates from the Arab period, a few years after the Catholic conquest of Mallorca by King James I of Aragon. Between 1229 and1231 (13th century) it was extended, creating the house we have today. 6 minutes from Sineu, which is a special, classically Mallorcan place that was the summer residence of the kings of the ancient Kingdom of Mallorca. The best market in Mallorca is held here on Wednesdays. There is a wide variety of restaurants, including typically Mallorcan restaurants, a bakery, an 'A Prop' supermarket and a ‘Dip Ifa’ supermarket, a butcher's, a fishmonger's, a frozen food shop, other shops and a pharmacy. So you can reach any part of Malloca in between 5-35 minutes.

17 minutes away there is a tourist area by the name of Platja de Muro next to the beach of Puerto de Alcudia. 23 minutes from Son Serra de Marina, its beaches are unspoilt and very interesting, they are not nudist beaches but they accept nudism. 22 minutes from Puerto de Pollença. 35 minutes from the Sierra de Tramuntana calas beaches.

Travel:

The house is 35 minutes from the airport. The car is essential.

5 minutes from the town of Sineu and Llubi, 15 minutes from Inca, 15 minutes from Manacor, 25 minutes beaches of est mallorca, 30 minutes from Palma de Mallorca

Wonderful

We have just returned fron Son Sitjes, after a brilliant holiday. We were a party of 10, ages ranging from 6 years to 73 years.

We all loved the house, and the amazing views from the terrace.

We have taken villa holidays for many years now, but this was one of the nicest properties we have stayed at.

The house has been renovated to a lovely standard by the charming owners, who are justifiably very proud of it. The owners are always available on the telephone, and the helpful pool man visits 3 times a week. However, they are never intrusive and do not live on site.

We want to go back to Son Sitjes in the spring, when the almond trees are in blossom; there are lots of trees in the grounds around the house. The owners showed us how to tell when the figs were ripe for eating - they were delicious fresh from the tree. We also picked fresh limes for drinks.

The pool is in a sheltered courtyard, where it is easy to supervise the children.

The solar power at the house was sufficient and did not cause any problems.

Just remember, you are in the countryside, and there will be wall lizards sharing the space with you. However, these are harmless and we grew quite accustomed to seeing them, and even named a few.

We were also lucky enough to see the Barn owl and her young, who have a purpose built home on the roof, and return each year to breed.

I recommend this property very highly, and we really did not want to leave. Wish we were still there!
