Villa azaleas is an elegant and luxiouriousy finished three bedrooms villa. The property benefits from air conditioning all through the living room and bedrooms. The accommodation is open plan, consisting of a spacious lounge and dining area, a well equipped kitchen, three double bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite and a sun terrace with great views of the rock Ifach which is known as the sister rock to Gibraltar. All bedrooms are doubles and have large fitted wardrobes. The villa has a bathrooms on the first floor and the ground floor. Outside there is a large garden with eating area for dining and also sitting in the shade and enjoying summer evenings. Also extensive sun terrace, a barbecue corner all set in a landscaped garden. Other facilities include air-conditioning, tv, dvd, satellite tv and wifi.

Extremely Disappointing

Upon arrival we found the property needed cleaning, cracked window in the patio door, the patio doors locks did not work, when we used our shower the bathroom flooded due to poor maintenance, it was necessary to clean the patio before we could use it, the barbecues were health hazards.

I completely agree with the other one star review and would like to add that I contacted the owner on a number of occasions to try and rectify our complaints. On each occasion he promised to ring back as he was at work but he never did. I continued to ring but every time I ring now he hangs up on me when he realises who it is. When I did speak to the owner he seemed very charming and helpful but this is when you are booking and paying for the accommodation, when problems arise and you request to discuss and resolve the complaint he does not want to know. My advice to anyone looking at this property and it's owner is look somewhere else.

Very Poor!!!

We arrived at this villa to be advised there had been no hot water, but it was now fixed, such relief. Just as well there was hot water as this would have only been one more thing to add to the list of unfortunates.......

On arrival we had to step over a pile of logs which had been left on the path leading up to the front door. Not only was this dangerous, but it added to the unkept feel of the so called lovely landscaped gardens, not! They were, and probably still are, terrible. We purposely booked the property because of the gardens so that our 2 year old could play safely, not a chance. In fact, prior to using the outdoor furniture, we had to clean it, and scrub the patio! Enjoying the thought of eating alfresco of an evening, we looked forward to using the bbq, not one, but two were available to use. Absolutely no way, they were nothing but rusty health hazards. We tested the intercom, no, it didn't work. Within a couple of days into the holiday, we experienced a shower, no, not a rain shower, but a kitchen shower! Water was pouring through the ceiling from the upstairs bathroom. We had to empty the cupboards and rearrange the kitchen as the unit had to be taken down off the wall. We lived without a decent kitchen for a week. In fact, we found we needed to clean the cupboards out as we rearranged things, not the cleanest property to shout about.

The leak turned out to be a problem with the air conditioning, something else that no longer worked. It gave off a putrid smell and caused problems for our asthmatic mum. The patio door lock, broken. The front security door lock, broken. Lack of glasses and crockery (many of those that are there are chipped). Within days of experiencing difficulties, we contacted the owner. We believed he would resolve the problems and put things right. We travelled July/August 2015 and despite giving him every opportunity to do the right thing, he has not. Before you book this property check out the link to our photos and video, you'll soon decide not to. Rating is 1 out of 5, why? Because the pool area is beautiful (although you need to supply your own furniture). There should be tighter regulations around owners being allowed to rent properties out in this state, clearly not fit for purpose. Seems he's got away with it once, don't let him get away with it again. We very much doubt the 5 star rating posted on 29th July 2015, ironically posted the day after we made our formal complaint!

Couldn't Ask For More!!

We hired a car, so the owner had given us directions on how to get from the airport to the house and they took us straight there with no problems and it took about 50 minutes.

The house is in a residential area about a mile from the main beach are in Calpe. There are about 12 semi detached type houses on this very quiet road, and the shared pool is next door but 2 to the house.

The house is very modern inside and fully equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The living room is open plan with a breakfast bar separating it from the kitchen, it opens out onto a lovely patio area with a large table and chairs, this is where we had breakfast every morning and our evening meal a couple of times. There are 2 sofas and a TV mounted on the wall (although we never watched the TV), and there is a dining table inside as well. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped with everything you would need. There is a washer, dishwasher and a fridge freezer. This leads out into the paved back yard are which is tiled and has a picnic table and a nice private su trap. There is also a twin bedroom downstairs as well as a shower and toilet.

Upstairs, there is the main bedroom which is large and has en-suite with bath and shower, and doors opening out onto a balcony from which you can see "Il fach". There is another bathroom with shower and another twin bedroom with doors leading onto a balcony. All the bedrooms had fitted wardrobes with plenty of space. The house had an electric gate at the front with intercom and camera.

The pool area was lovely, well kept gardens, the pool was a nice size and it was warm (not heated) and there were shaded areas if required. Everytime we went to the pool, there was either no-one there or maybe a family with a couple of children, it was lovely. The house is situated about 20 minutes walk onto the seafront in Calpe. On the road from the house to the beach there are a handful of eating places and a bar. One of favourite places to eat was "La Pizzaria Spagna", it served Italian food as well things like chicken and chips, with main meals costing between 6 and 8 euros. There are also 2 large supermarkets at the bottom of the road which are very cheap.

The main beach is lovely, which gently slopes into the sea and it was one of the busiest beaches I've seen in many years. There is a nice promenade with lots of bars and restaurants overlooking the beach.

Overall we had a wonderful time and we can't wait to go back :-)

Very comfortable!

Extremely comfortable beds and sofas! Fantastic location to walk into Calpe or the beach with a pushchair as there are good footpaths all the way there. Safe place to park a hire car. The communal garden is very well maintained and the pool clean, even in February our daughter managed to have a paddle. Good sized dishwasher and washing machine was an added bonus. Good location for climbers as there's lots of local crags without having to drive too far. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Villa close to the beach

The Villa is exactly like the photos shown here , clean and well maintained and the owner a pleasure to deal with .Fantastic spacious villa , with all the amenities you require for a self catering holiday . Only a 5 minute walk to 3 local restaurants on La Merced . The main beach and promenade only a 10min walk .

There are 4 supermarkets within 5/10 min walking distance , a car is not a necessity you can use Beniconnect for €18 per person transfer to and from alicante airport .The pool is very private and has beautiful gardens around it with shaded areas to sit under. We will definitely be back 😍

Buenavista la vallesa area, a two minutes drive to Calpe sandy beaches. Altea town, Moraira, and Benidorm are with 20to 40 minutes drive.

Further Details:

There are a few restaurants and bars near to the marina and the paseo maritimo (promenade) within walking distance from the house. A wider diverse selection of restaurants are less than 5minutes drive in the old town. Cobbled streets and Castillian street lamps where many of the Spanish eat. There is a treet market held here every Saturday which sells everything. There is a supermarket just 5 minutes walk from the house.
