Stunning Villa with a 'contemporary feel' situated in the extremely peaceful local of Son Vitamina. The property features 3 Double bedrooms (thus can sleep upto 6) 2 Bathrooms, private pool. 'Al Fresco' dining area with integrated Barbecue all under the shade of a large Pergola and a lawned garden area with swings and slide to entertain our younger guests. The grounds are completely fenced and gated ensuring your privacy. All rooms are decorated to a high standard in a contemporary style which focuses on quality and relaxation two ingredients which are a must during your holiday. The grounds follow the same theme with various areas to relax either in or out of the sun.
We moved to Menorca in 2005 in order to give our selves and our young children the opportunity to experience a typically Mediterranean lifestyle.
As an Aviation Professional the nature of my business involved a great deal of international travel . This enabled me to commute to and from the island so the country of my residence was not an issue.
As a family we've enjoyed all of the wonderful things this island has to offer, a new language, outdoor pursuits, the beach life and the wonderful people.
My career has taken another path and we have decided to enter another adventure so now is the time to open up our home so more of you can enjoy a small piece of what we have loved...and who knows it may even inspire you to follow a new adventure yourself.
Marc White purchased this villa in 2005
We bought this property for the peaceful location, the amount of space around us and the layout of the property.
Son Vitamina is a rural, mostly residential area but is only 5 minutes away from the nearest resort (Cala en Porter) and only 10 minutes away from the airport.
We love the fact that we have on our door step one of the finest Gastro pubs in Menorca (Nelsons) this has been verified by the 5 star rating currently shown on the Trip Advisor review site.
If you want to escape from it all the villa is just that, its private, a very pleasant place to be both inside and out not many will offer the decor, quality and thought that it has to offer.
Stayed at Marc and Julie's beautiful villa for a family holiday including a toddler
Pool is secured from the villa by a gate so no worries with little ones, very reassuring.
Everything anyone would need for a totally relaxing holiday and more would love this villa.
Close to local pub nelsons, only a short drive to saint clement with their shops, and a short drive to Cala en porters beach, shops, restaurants.
Would definaltly recommend to everyone, can't wait to come back again.
Thank you Marc and Julie
Lovely villa, beautiful pool.
Well placed to explore the Island.
Owners very helpful and accommodating.
This was our second stay at the Villa (several years apart) and we will absolutely be back again in the future. Marc and Julie are great communicators and from the outset the booking process was simple and straight forward. The villa is superb in every aspect and a real home from home; clean, tidy, modern and very well maintained throughout. Anyone booking will not be disappointed and whilst the world is full of great places to visit and see, we love everything that both the Villa and Menorca have to offer and will certainly be back again in the not too distant future.
We (family of 4, daughter 6yrs, son 11yrs) booked 26th May till 9th June '17. I spent months trawling through properties to find the perfect one as we wanted something that extra bit special as this was our first proper family holiday out of the UK.
Marc and Julie were fantastic throughout. Nothing was too much trouble, their advice and knowledge of places to visit, car hire centres etc was priceless.
You can clearly tell this villa has been a much loved and well cared for family home and not thrown together with budget fittings and furniture. Everything you could ever need is here.
The xbox and smart TV were a welcome break for the children to rest from the mid day sun and give mum & dad some quality sunbathing time.
The villa is not overlooked at all which is fantastic for around the pool and is located is a very quiet residential area..
We hired a car for 2 weeks from Autos Victoria(recommended by Marc) fantastic family firm, Quite reasonable with fully comp insurance no hidden extras like most.
Citadella in the West is the old capital and well worth a walk around the small streets off the square to explore. Mahon (Maò) the new capital has a fantastic harbour with all the multi million pound boats (you can dream), its centre is very cosmopolitan. 'Passio Mediterranean' is the last Tapas restuaraunt along the harbour, amazing food, only saw the locals eating there so always a good sign. Very modern twists and infused flavours, not cheap but well worth it.
There are lots of supermarkets on the outskirts of Mahon but we fell across an Aldi of all places, it was fantastic as it only really stocked Spanish products but was much cheaper than the Mercadonas. Rioja and Tempranillo at worryingly cheap prices.. The Majorcan Gin is fantastic especially with 7up (very refreshing)
We had a BBQ most nights with lots of local fish and Langoustines from the fish market in Mahon (Mercat de Pescados) use sat nav on phone as its a bit tricky to find and looks like an old square building. They serve fresh tapas while you look around, shuts at lunch.
Nelsons gastro pub (200mtrs) from the villa and the only local bar/restaurant) lovely food, reasonable prices. Ate there twice.
Checked out a few unspoilt beaches but best beach by far and child friendly was Cala Galdana, a bit like the Caribbean but 30 mins drive from the villa.
Only complaint was 2 weeks wasn't enough, all gutted to have left this beautiful home and would love to return.
Our third stay at this wonderful villa. It has all the facilities to make a relaxing holiday. All the info and description are well accurate and the property was extra clean and maintained. Julie and Marc were as helpful as ever. Bar Nelson the restaurant in walking distance was also as excellent as ever. We tried some new restaurants in Calan Porter which were all very nice.
The villa fully lived up to and exceeded our expectations with everything we could possibly need for our stay. You can tell it has been set up as a home. The property was clean and cared for. Marc and Julie were extremely helpful both before, during and after the booking process and i very much hope we can return one day. The pool is perfect and all the better for not being over chlorinated. With a hire car it was easy and fun to explore the island a little but return to our lovely retreat at the end of the day. We particularly enjoyed the beach bar/ cafe at Binebequer for a late morning coffee pre sea swim/snorkelling (we hired kayaks from a little place around the corner there _double kayak was £20 for 2 hours); there is a lovely bakery in Sant Clement which is just a couple of km away; and so many gorgeous beaches - just not enough time! Highly recommend this villa .
Special interest holidays:
Menorca is an ideal location for hikers, cyclists and offshore kayakers. There is plenty of driveway space for any outdoor equipment you wish to bring.
Coast/Beach:
Many beaches are in easy reach, just 5/10mins by car, including Cala en Porter, Calas Coves 1km (this is walkable for Avid Hikers), Binibeca, Binidali and Son Bou. Within a 30 minute drive are Cala Galdana, Cala Mitjana, Es Grau, Punta Prima, Son Parc, Fornells and Arenal D'en Castell.
The Island offers hikes around the entire circumference on paths called Cami de Carvalls the nearest is a minute away from the villa.
Travel:
10 Minute drive from the Airport, Car hire is not essential but we would highly recommend it. Not only to get to and from the villa but to really get the most out of your holiday on this beautiful Island.
Distances:
200 metres up the road is 'gastro-pub' Nelsons offering fantastic food at a very reasonable price and what's more it's on your doorstep. On the entrance to Son Vitamina and Calas Coves is C'an Bernat, a must for meat lovers.
The capital Mahon and its famous Port is 15 mins, Alaior is 15 mins. The historic town of Ciutadella is 40 mins and well worth a visit, Son Parc (where the Golf Course is situated) is 30 mins, Canutells is 10 mins, Binibeca is 10 mins, Punta Prima is 20 mins all by car.
Further Details:
Supermarkets are abundant the nearest being a 5minute drive away in San Climent. Same goes for banks, bars, restaurants, Pharmacies, Panderias (cake shops) and Tobacconists.
