Two Bays Apartment is on the ground floor of one of 5 blocks within the luxurious Saneil complex, comprising 15 privately owned apartments. It is secluded, with an extended terrace and landscaped garden area which have extensive views over both Kalkan and Kalamar bays. The apartment has been furnished and fitted to the highest standards, with tiled flooring and air-conditioning throughout plus free Wi-Fi. It comprises a double bedroom with en-suite shower room; a twin bedroom; large open plan living area with sofa to sleep a fifth person; second shower room; and a luxury kitchen. The complex has English speaking, on-site staff, with 24 hour security, provided by the Asfiya Hotel team, and guests may also use the facilities of the Asfiya and Likya Hotels and Yali Beach club. Saneil has one of the best pool areas in Kalkan and Two Bays guests have sole use of sun beds and umbrella on the extensive pool terrace as well as further beds immediately outside the apartment.

Amazing!!

Another wonderful holiday to the beautiful Kalkan, but this time we had the pleasure of staying in the luxurious Two Bays Apartment. Wow...nothing that hasn't been thought of! The furnishings & decor are of the highest quality, the private sun terrace area is pure bliss, with views of both the bays it's hard to motivate yourself to move however when you do venture to the pool it's peaceful calm and relaxing, especially with four dedicated sunbeds & pool towels for the apartment so room for all the family to relax. Carol & John thank you for all your help from our initial enquiry to booking our very efficient transfers from & to the airport for us. The team onsite also very helpful & friendly always with a smile & a wave. We will most definitely be back next year. Thank you again.

Simply the best

As regular Kalkanites for the last 8 years and visitors to Saneil, we cannot praise the quality and standards of Two Bays enough. Every detail has been addressed including powerful hairdryers, beach towels and quality furnishings and amenities.

The apartment is clean and well maintained and has uninterrupted views of Kalamar and Kalkan bays.

The view is to die for and you can enjoy a sundowner on the extensive terrace before strolling into the delightful town that is Kalkan.

Whilst in Kalkan dont miss the opportunity to have a day on a boat, buy handbags and silver and visit the Thursday market to buy amazing spices. A trip to Atlantis for a Hamman and a deep massage should not be missed either.

We can easily idle our days away lying by the pool or meander down to Yali Beach Club for a dip in the sea, sun bathing and a simple but well executed lunch.

Eating out in one of the many rooftop terrace restaurants or along the harbour front is one of life's true pleasures...............

Location

Kalkan is just such a special place, so there was no doubt about buying here, but there are many different areas to choose from. We had always stayed on the Kalamar Road, first in the Asfiya hotel and then frequently in a friend's villa just around the corner from Saneil, so we were sure that the location had the right combination of proximity to the town, distance away to ensure peace and quiet, and the stunning views of the bays. We looked at many different complexes in the vicinity but were hooked the minute we saw this complex and the apartment.

Coast/Beach:

Kalkan town beach is about 20 minutes walk, and is pebbled, with sunbeds for hire and showers. The numerous local beach clubs offer sunbathing terraces with sunbeds and umbrellas for a small charge; all offer food and most offer a variety of watersports. Patara Beach is 20 minutes by car or taxi, (there is also a bus) and offers 18 km of sandy beach, shallow swimming and a beach restaurant with showers and toilets. Kaputas beach on the Kas road is about 15 minutes by car or taxi.

Travel:

One and three quarter hour transfer to/from Dalaman airport although allow longer if driving yourself. About three hours from Antalya. Transfers or car hire can be arranged for you, but a car is not essential once in Kalkan. Local taxis and buses are plentiful and inexpensive.

Distances:

Kalkan town centre is a 15 minute stroll down hill, 5 more to the harbour and beach. Kas is about 30 minutes by car and Fethiye, with a large market and fabulous fish market restaurants, about an hour away.

Further Details:

Kalkan is a village of many contrasts. It retains much of its character and rich history as a fishing village but offers a lot for visitors wanting a sophisticated holiday avoiding the mass tourism destinations. It remains small but has innumerable restaurants with roof-top terraces offering mouthwatering Turkish and Ottoman cuisine as well as more international dishes all at reasonable prices.

The harbour remains home to the many fishing boats, but also hosts the famous Gulets which can take you on a day out around the bays and islands; stopping to swim and eating freshly caught lunch, and regularly sees visiting private yachts.

The local people are almost universally friendly and there is an interesting blend of East and West to the culture. Most locals in shops and restaurants speak good English. There are no large hotels here and it is very rare to meet people from home on a first visit, most fall in love on the first vist and come time and time again, and many live here for long periods.

Shopping in Kalkan offers jewellery, leather goods, clothes, watches, glass, ceramics, rugs plus much local farm produce and spices. Market day is Thursday and worth a visit; don't be afraid to haggle.

Further out there are trout farms in the hills above Kalkan, with their own restaurants, and many historic sites along the Lycian Way.

In our view the complex is one of the very best in Kalkan in terms of the amenities available combined with excellent location. Being south facing you can enjoy the sun all day long. We are at the Eastern end of the complex, so nicely secluded and the dining terrace opens out directly onto a lovely, part-paved, beautifully planted garden area with additional sun-beds, whilst the terrace itself is gated to stop toddlers wandering off! We also get spectacular views of the sunsets over Kalamar Bay. Inside, the apartment is completely refurbished with luxury bathrooms, a modern kitchen, plus new furniture and fittings throughout.

Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment. The complex has an automatic standby generator. Outside: The complex has a 25 metre, kidney-shaped, freshwater swimming pool plus toddler pool, set in a large landscaped terrace with views of both Kalkan and Kalamar Bays. Guests have the use of 4 dedicated sunbeds and umbrella. Utility Room: Covered, rear area with utility cupboard housing washing machine, iron, ironing board and airer. There are also a cot and high chair in the apartment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and indoor towels included, and changed twice a week. Bins emptied daily. Pool towels included. Other: The large, private, terrace off the living area is perfect for alfresco dining. The terrace opens out onto a secluded, paved garden area with rattan sofa, chairs, and occasional table plus sun-beds.
