Mijas Pueblo Villa (Townhouse), Costa del Sol, Spain - Peaceful Location With Stunning Views, 2 Minutes Walk To Village, 15 Mins To Beaches By Car

Mijas is a beautiful village, with old cobbled streets and many places of interest, including old churches,museum,bars and restaurants, with authentic Spanish tapas served in many. There is gated access to this small urbanization with easy access to bus route, 15 minutes to (12kms) to Fuengirola beach and holiday leisure facilities. The property is close to several golf courses. Our townhouse is spacious & newly built this year (2011). It is tastefully decorated with marble floors & quality fittings throughout. It accommodates a max of 8 with additional baby facilities. The property comprises:fully fitted kitchen, lounge/dining room both opening onto a terrace with outdoor dining facilities. The top terrace has dining facilities for 8+. Master (king) bedroom with en-suite, a further 2 double and one twin bedroom with cot are located on the lower floors; two further shower rooms. Additional sitting room with TV/DVD and video games. Fabulous views of the Mediterranean!

Our rental rates are set according to costs incurred at different times of the year. Summer rates are higher reflecting air conditioning costs.

About Diane & Steve

We bought our beautiful Spanish retreat in June 2011; it was the views from the house and modern interior that clinched the deal! We live and work in England until we can afford to retire and base ourselves in Mijas. The house is used throughout the year by our family but we do rent it out when its free. It's set in the Spanish hills and is only 10 minutes by car or bus, from the sea. Our pool and the local community pool provide relief from the heat. We simply love the house, the village and the surrounding area. The weather is glorious, the people friendly and the food and wine tremendous. Good walking and cycling with easy access to skiing in the Sierra Nevadas suit our active lifestyle. Travel for the UK is easy with short and simple transfer from Malaga airport.

Why Diane & Steve chose Mijas

This location is a small piece of Spanish paradise. If you can imagine an area that isn't over built and spoiled by overzealous developers, this is it. The beautiful, lively village of Mijas is set up on the hillside overlooking the Mediterranean. The house is quiet with magnificent views of both hills and sea. You wake in the morning to birdsong and peacocks calling and sensational bedroom views. The lively village has many attractions and events every month. If you want a dip in the sea its 10 minutes down the hill either by car or the regular bus service at 1.25E. Our house has steep driveway access, so a car is recommended. The house benefits from a lift from the garage on the top of the house to all floors. A beautiful modern, comfortable house makes this an excellent holiday base. Mijas Heights has its own pool for use by residents and holiday guests only; it is normally quiet and has plenty of space for sun loungers. It also has a couple of picnic tables, showers and a poolside loo!

What makes this house unique

The village has many excellent restaurants and bars; most are reasonably priced. It is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest village 'supermarket' that has a good range of products. If you need more choice there are larger supermarkets and excellent shopping in Fengirolla. The village is friendly and relaxed. Our house is private, peaceful and well designed. It is difficult to feel any of the stress of modern life when you sit on the terrace and soak up the sun and panoramic views, so you return home feeling refreshed and invigorated. If you feel you need to cool down when it gets hot, it's a 100 meters to the pool or a short trip to the beach and a swim in the sea. If you play golf there's are a selection of courses near by and it's great hilly bike riding country for the fit.

Beautiful property with breathtaking views

Myself and 4 friends had a fantastic few days in Mijas. The property is in an idyllic location, just a short walk away from the shops, bars and restaurants with stunning views of Fuengirola and the ocean.

On arrival, the property was in an immaculate condition. The villa is very well equipped with all the essentials for cooking at home and the air conditioning is a god send in the hot weather! There are sun loungers which can be used by the beautiful communal pool as well as two spacious sun terraces which enjoy the sunshine all day long.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the villa and would recommend it to others. I already look forward to returning again next year!

Great location for the town and super views.

The house is in a development where the common areas are starting to look tired and in need of work. The house is very secure and has all necessary features,and represents decent value for money but again is getting to the stage of needing some upgrade in places. We enjoyed our stay and had a very relaxing week

Wonderful stay

What a fantastic place to have a relaxing stay. Situated on the edge of Mijas but an easy walk in and bus stops very close. The house was spacious, clean with lovely views down to Fuengirola. It was kitted out with everything you need and very comfortable if you wanted to stay in. We had a lovely few days there and would recommend it highly.

Excellent location with great views of the Med.Accommodation ideal for four golfers. We had our own rooms and Villa was well appointed and equipped.Mijas Pueblo was a five minute walk away and even though January was lively enough at night. Ideal for golf base with plenty of courses nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thyroid administration around our booking was spot on.

Special interest holidays:

Walking; there is an abundance of walking in the area with a range of routes from Mijas Pueblo itself; maps from tourist information in the village. Using the bus or car you can access other walking routes of varying intensity/difficultly

Rock Climbing in the village. Horse riding. The Lew Hoad Tennis Centre is 5 minutes drive and can be accessed by the local bus service. The area is very popular with cyclists - both road and mountain bikers. Beware however, you need a strong pair of lungs and trained legs to cope with the hilly terrain!

The village has a large, well shaded community swimming pool a kilometer walk from the house; it has a well priced restaurant and entrance is 50 cents!

Coast/Beach:

The many beaches of Fuengirola are a 10 minute drive by bus or car with those at Benalmadina and Torremolinos 20 minutes drive.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Malaga which is a 15 minute drive. Car hire is recommended but not necessary as public transport is good and our house in close proximity to the village centre. However you can catch a train from the airport to Fuengirola. Walk 300 metres to the bus station and catch the Bus No 122 (Costs 1.25 euros) to Mijas. This will take about 45 minutes depending on bus times.

Distances:

The town of Mijas is a 2 minute walk; village centre a 5 minute walk. Fuengirola 10 minutes drive or bus , Benalmadena 20 minutes drive or bus. Malaga centre 30 minutes drive or 30 minutes from Fuengirola by train (E1.40), Marbella and Puerto Banus 30 minutes drive or bus.

Further Details:

Mijas has many shops, 3 small supermarkets, a local indoor market and a good selection of restaurants. Fuengirola and Benalmadena both have larger supermarkets and an excellent selection of shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife.
