About Jane Russell

Our family purchased this fabulous old racing stables in 2002, and embarked on a renovation project lasting 2 years. The apartment is located in the end wing of the main house. I look after the two holiday cottages, and we also run a livery stables from Plymouth Copse. We have s small flock of sheep, lovely if you come during lambing, you can help feed the lambs. We also have 12 acre wood here which we are in the process of turning into a nature reserve.

Excellent Villa Stay

  • 5 of 5

This villa is in a quiet part of Playa Blanca, about 1 mile away from the main area, so a nice walk or a 3 euro taxi ride. The villa is excellent if you just want to relax and recharge your batteries, with the only disturbance being the occasional "zumba" class in the nearby holiday centre. The villa is large enough for a family, with a very generous outside area around the pool, complete with a large barbecue, so much so, that you can easily have your own space. On arrival, there is a thoughtful welcome pack, which was well received by the other half, so a great start to the stay. We had a few issues with the TV, but this was due to a changeover of provider on the weekend of our arrival, so was all sorted by the the middle of the week. I would highly recommend staying here and will look to do so again myself next year.

Wonderful Holiday!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Jane, for allowing us to stay in your wonderful villa. We've just returned from a 2 week relaxing holiday - and loved it!

The villa was decorated lovely throughout (carefully thought out furniture and we love the artwork prints!) and it was an incredibly comfortable villa too. The outside space for seating and shade were fantastic; the couch and positioning for the great TV package were perfect; good sunloungers; good BBQ area (although we didn't use it this time); we even found the bed comfortable! There's plenty of room in the villa, but only being two of us, neither did we find it too big for only a single couple. Jane has really made the villa feel very comfortable and welcoming - we relaxed straight away and enjoyed our holiday immensely.

The layout of the villa is particularly good with the master suite to the rear of the property - we loved opening the bedroom doors onto the patio each morning, letting the breeze cool us and watch the sunrise over the mountains.

Thank you to the management team too - the villa was very clean when we arrived and we wouldn't hesitate in staying in another villa managed by them. In particular, the pool guy was lovely, with a wealth of information about the area and so helpful and friendly - thank you.

I understand Jane has sold the villa, which is very sad as we would have jumped at the chance of returning and would have recommended it to others. We did have a wonderful time though and thank you for allowing us to stay at Casa Tomaia.

** PERFECT **

  • 5 of 5

Stayed in other villas in Costa Papagayo and this one didn't disappoint. The furnishings are very modern and the Smart TV and Wifi great for the kids. The location is perfect only 20 minute walk to the centre of a Playa Blanca and the beaches. We always hire a car to explore the island but not necessary as could easily spend days lazing by the pool which is excellent. We used the BBQ a few times just as a change from the many restaurants that you can go to in the town. All in all this is an excellent home from home villa which we would highly recommend and which we will definetly be booking again for next holiday to Playa Blanca. 👍🏻👍🏻🌞🌞

A wonderful villa, can't recommend highly enough!!

  • 5 of 5

We have rented several villas in various locations in Playa Blanca over the years, and this villa had the best outside space of any we've stayed in, and we enjoyed a wonderful 10 days winter relaxation here.

We certainly made use of the barbeque area most evenings, and the covered lounge area I would imagine would be a wonderful spot to escape the heat of the midday sun in summer.

The pool was great, although it may not suit families with young children as has limited shallow section and there was plenty of space and good quality loungers to soak up the sun all day. The views over the mountains were lovely, and my husband got some wonderful sunrise photos - while I enjoyed a lie in!!

Inside the villa is done to a high spec and would ideally suit two couples, with plenty of space; the beds were very comfortable and the large walk-in shower was bliss.

Good wifi speed and great choice of TV channels, including Sky Sports, so husband happy, and all in all it was very well set for all eventualities, particularly if the weather not great - luckily, though, we had wonderful winter weather!! There were a couple of minor issues, but the company that dealt with those were excellent, really prompt at sorting them out so thanks due to them, they offer a great local agent service.

Last great thing was the location - it was an easy walk down to the seafront which we did several times, meaning we could both enjoy a cocktail or two in the evening!!

All in all, I think this is the best villa we have stayed in as a couple - a really relaxing time (after the first evening when I had my handbag stolen !) and we will certainly look to book here next time we visit Lanzarote as it offered everything we needed for a wonderful holiday.

Thanks Jane for letting us rent your home - it is wonderful and we will be back!!

Great villa, very well presented.

  • 5 of 5

Had a very enjoyable week in Playa Blanca and at the villa. Well furnished and comfortable. The kids loved the heated pool and wi-fi. A 15 minute walk to the seaside promenade with a superb range of restaurants.

We will certainly consider renting it again.

Thanks

Great holiday in a lovely Villa

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely weeks holiday in this home from home villa. The property was clean throughout with quality modern furniture . The large pool had big roman steps for ease of access. Villa has a very nice outside seating area for those warm evenings. Great views of mountains from rear of villa. Wifi worked perfectly . Some lovely plants around the pool area that would have benefited from some sort of lighting in the evenings for effect. We would certainly stay here again in the future. 5 star recommended.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review our villa, it is much appreciated. We are so glad you enjoyed your time with us. We have taken on board your comments regarding outside garden lighting, the pool light bulb will be changed within the next month and we are looking into installing lighting in the garden. Thank you very much for your feed back, regards Jane
