A very comfortable, well equipped property, (free wifi too !) located in an enviable position overlooking the harbour, village and beautiful coastline. Briefly comprises 2 reception rooms, modern fitted kitchen and useful utility area (inc extra wc) to the ground floor, together with 3 bedrooms, (sleeps 6 + cot) and modern bathroom at first floor level. Gas central heating. Off road parking for 2 cars. Small rear garden plus enclosed rear terrace and an good size new front sun terrace . Located within 2 minutes walk of harbour/village /beach. Very close to Pembrokeshire Coastal Path - ideal base for walkers or bird watchers. Within easy driving distance of Laugharne ( made famous by Dylan Thomas), St David's ( the smallest city in the UK) , Pendine ( with glorious beach , as used by Malcolm Campbell whilst setting a land speed record - and Top Gear ) and yet only 25 minutes from the A40/M4. Ideal all year round "getaway" - fun in the sun or enjoy the wild winter waves. We welcome one small well behaved dog.

Please note that the entrance access drive way is shared, and slopes upwards and quite sharp. Low slung sports cars beware.

Breathtaking Views

Sadly we only got to spend a few days in the beautiful place. The house sits on the hill overlooking the sea and is a stone's throw from St Brides Bay Hotel and Spa. The house is well equipped with a lovely terrace out front to really enjoy some amazing views over a glass of wine. The dishwasher was broken when we arrived but the owner was extremely kind and helpful - even visiting us to make sure we were OK. We were blessed with amazing weather too. All in all, I would highly recommend this special place.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The beach is within easy walking distance from White Sails - a 2 minute downhill walk. Saundersfoot beach is a large, level sandy beach, with working harbour to the far side. The main access to the beach is easy, and away from the harbour. Deckchairs and brollies etc can be hired on the beach, plus sometimes there is a bouncy castle and ice cream man. During the summer months the beach has a life guard team in daily attendance, and is considered a very safe bathing area.

Travel:

Saundersfoot is well placed to be in easy reach of the M4 ( approx 30 mins drive from the end of the A40 dual carriageway). Swansea is approx 45 mins, Cardiff approx 1.5 hrs, The Severn Bridge approx 2hrs. White Sails is an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline, or just park up and don't drive all week - Saundersfoot can provide most things you require !

Distances:

Saundersfoot village - 2 mins walk. Tenby - 3 miles. Laugharne - approx 30 mins. St David's - approx 30 mins. Pendine - approx 20 mins. Carmarthen - approx 30 mins. Cardiff approx - 1.5 hrs. Aberystwyth - approx 1.5 hrs

Further Details:

Saundersfoot has a good range of amenities, including pharmacy, butcher, baker, post office, gift shops, Spar, cafes and restaurants. Supermarkets: Sainsburys - Tenby, Tesco - Pembroke Dock, Co-op - Kilgetty. Doctor: Saundersfoot and Narberth. Banks: all in Tenby.

Changeover Day:
Usual changeover day is Saturday.Guests vacate the house by 10am and can enter from 3pm. However we are flexible to adjust this as required, and to accommodate short breaks etc.

Notes on prices:
25% deposit required on booking.
£25.00 additional charge for 1 well behaved dog
Fuel Charge £20.00 per week October to April. ( Free May to Sept )

Upon agreement of dates, I will send a booking form requesting deposit payment. This can be by cheque or BACS. This payment is not subject to any admin charge.

Being so close to the village, harbour and beach and yet being away as we overlook the village. THE VIEW ! - fab coastal views. Saundersfoot is pretty self sufficient and you could park up and get everything you want in the village. Local, independent butcher, baker etc restaurants, bars, the harbour, gift shops etc. All worth a look.....
