One bedroom apartment with terrace immediately above the beach

A gem of an apartment overlooking the white sands and aquamarine waters of beautiful Cala en Porter cove. An all-in-one living area with modern kitchen opens onto a terrace from which to relax and enjoy open-air dining all day long. From this unique vantage point you will be entertained from sun-up to sun-down by the activities on the beach and the comings and goings of the yachts in the bay. Enjoy eating out in the village or at the beachside cafés and bars, and sunbathe, swim, snorkle and hire a pedalo for exploring the cove while still remaining within the protective arms of the two headlands that embrace this memorable spot.

Because of the number of steps to this apartment, we regret it is is not suitable for people with a mobility problem.

Great apartment with amazing views!

A wonderful and tidy apartment with a gorgeous view of the beach. Wouldn't be surprised if we had one of the best views in the area! The apartment had everything you could need and more. Only a short walk from the main town and restaurants, and the bus stop is right behind the apartment.

A great place and apartment to stay in if you just want an easy, comfortable and chilled holiday!

Fantastic place!!

This is the best apartment we have EVER stayed in!! Super clean with everything you could need- even a cooler bag which we used every day to take a picnic to the beach!! Beach towels were supplied which was fantastic too!! We ate out a few times- i can recommend Big Al's and Seagrams- but it was so lovely on the balcony we chose to stay in most nights. The only thing to consider are the steps to the apartment- there are lots!! Best suited to fairly fit people! Anne Gave us lots of advice before we came which was really useful- we will be back without a doubt!! THANK YOU!!

Fabulous location with gorgeous views of the beach

The apartment is in a great location at the top of the steps going down to the lovely sandy beach of Cala en Porter. There are 150 steps down to the beach so it kept us fit! If you don't fancy the walk there is a car park at the beach. It's also an easy walk to restaurants and bars in the town.

The apartment is comfortably fitted out with all the amenities you need for a good holiday. Lovely kitchen with proper oven, which we only used once and a hob ( which we didn't use). Great shower in bathroom. Comfy bed and a spacious walk in wardrobe. It's all stylishly decorated in fresh colours and was spotlessly clean. A table and chairs are provided on the balcony so we had all our meals outside looking at the view over the beach. A great place for a relaxing holiday.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The beach is a flight of steps away. Beside the beach are two bar/restaurants, a beach shop, and a free car park. Sun-loungers and umbrellas can be hired on the beach, as well as kayaks and pedalos.

Travel:

Car hire is not essential. The airport at Mahon is about 15 minutes' distance by taxi. You can pick up a taxi at the airport on arrival and book a taxi service (RadioTaxi, available 24 hours) for departure.

Distances:

The village of Cala'n Porter is on the cliffs above the apartment and is accessed via the same main steps that lead to the beach and which are adjacent to the apartment. From June-October buses from Cala'n Porter to Mahon city (30-40 mins) leave from the bus stop immediately above the apartment.

Further Details:

Cala'n Porter has a variety of restaurants, shops, supermarkets and bars (some with Wi-Fi), a bank, a pharmacy and car/scooter/bike hire. The pre-historic Xuroy Cave, "Cova d'en Xoroi") which is situated in the cliffs (10 minutes' walk away) offers drinks and a spectacular panoramic view of the Mediterranean.

Booking Notes:
35% deposit is required at booking, by bank transfer. The balance has to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. An additional, refundable security deposit of £150 per week is charged against possible breakages, loss of keys, etc. and will be refunded within one week of departure.


Changeover Day:
There is no set changeover day.
Entry time is at 14:00 hrs and exit time is at 10:00 hrs. (For late departure flights, later exits may be accommodated if at all possible so that the maximum time can be had on your last day.)

Notes on prices:
If the rental is for 10,12,13 or 14 nights the price per week includes a change of linen and towels half way through the rental. Please note that it does not include cleaning. If cleaning is required at the half-way stage, kindly book this in advance of your stay to allow for it to be arranged.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
