We are located just 3 minutes’ walk from the sea where you can enjoy fine dining at a number of restaurants or walk around the new marina taking in sights and sounds of the sea. A stroll in the opposite direction along the paved sea front will take you to the San Blas Centre with its shops, bars and restaurants. The complex is quiet and relaxing, suitable for couples, disabled guests, friends and families alike. One of Duquesa’s main features is the beautifully landscaped pool area and large heated swimming pool, definitely the all year round place to be to enjoy a the warm waters. There is also a separate children’s pool, picnic area and with ample free sunbeds you’ll never need to put a towel on sunbeds here at 6 am! The apartment is bright and stylish with all the mod cons needed for a truly wonderful holiday experience. We also have an extensive fully enclosed terrace blessed with sunshine all day long enabling alfresco dining and sunbeds for use.

Lovely apartment and grounds

4 adults 2 children aged 9 and 6. Lovely clean apartment, plenty of room. Children and me loved the spa bath! Pool area very clean, safe and quiet in October. Might be busier (quite a small area) in high season. Shop in grounds for essentials, 2 minute walk to marina and local restaurants - would recommend Lava Beach especially. 15 minute walk to San Blas and Bibo - first class Caribbean restaurant, along with a larger supermarket and other shops and restaurants. NB. apartment advertised as having air conditioning, but on booking we then found out we had to pay extra for this , which we felt really should have been included in the price quoted at booking. Also, WiFi for the apartment is very expensive, when you can get it in all the local restaurants, etc.free. If the owners put the charge down, or indeed didn't charge at all, then maybe we would have used it. Overall a lovely, relaxing week had by all. Try Siam Park water park if you have children.

Delightful, Spacious apartment.

We have stayed at the complex previously and loved it so much we came back with our two sons so needed a bigger apartment! This one is two flights of steps up from the pool but there are lifts on all floors so accessibility is not a problem. The patio area is huge and gets the sun in the afternoon until around 5pm if you follow it! The apartment has everything you need for an enjoyable stay and if you have any problems, the wonderful Carmel is on hand to get things sorted. The boiler broke one night whilst we were there, we reported it the following morning whilst she was there and it was replaced with a new one within a couple of hours! Now that's service! Knowing Carmel is just a phone call away is a godsend and she is a lovely friendly lady who we took to immediately. The complex was just as we remembered although busier this time (June) to our last visit in November when it was very quiet and peaceful. It is still a peaceful place but the pool area gets a bit noisy when there are lots of children having fun! Our 10 year old daughter loved it again! The complex is spotless, kept so by a dedicated team who tend the pool, gardens and all communal areas every weekday, they are friendly and polite and VERY hard working! We had a fabulous time the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the distance to the pool, I loved watching it from the balcony in our last apartment but this is purely a personal preference and if our boys come with us next year I will definitely be booking this apartment again, It's perfect for all of us! Thank you to Dawn and Stewart for all your help, guidance and information, making the booking process an easy and straightforward one.

Special interest holidays:

In the immediate area you will find 2 golf courses, crazy golf, pitch n putt, driving range, bowling, go karting, scuba diving, yellow submarine, boat hire and a weekly market. The Golf Del Sur is situated right next door to the lovely quaint fishing village of Los Abrigos where you can dine on fish and seafood caught that day. A little further afield there are 2 amazing water parks, Aqualand with its famous dolphin show and the new Siam Park boasting Europe’s tallest water slide. There are also 2 zoo’s, large sea inflatables and the windsurfing haven of El Medano.

Coast/Beach:

There are numerous beaches around the local area.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Tenerife south which is approx. 15 minutes’ drive along the TS 1 or not more than a 15-20 Euro taxi ride away. Car hire is not essential as everything needed is on your doorstep. If you do wish to travel around the island car hire is relatively cheap and readily available in the airport and resort. Alternatively, why not use the cheap and efficient local bus service that stops directly outside the complex and where a taxi rank can also be found.

Distances:

The Golf Del Sur is approximately 15 to 20 minutes drive from the main resorts of Los Christianos and Las Americas. Either a 10 mins drive or 25 mins walk brings you to Los Abrigos a small fishing village complete with shops, weekly market and fresh seafood restaurants. Another interesting local village is El Medano which is around a 10 mins drive complete with a village square hosting various festivals throughout the year.

Further Details:

Just outside the complex on the left is a mini market stocking all your immediate holiday needs and a local mini market 50 yards in the opposite direction. There are also two large supermarkets, the Mercadonna and Hyperdino within a five minute drive, both offering excellent value for money.

Banks, cash points and money changing facilities are available in the San Blas area which is a 15 mins walk. The Golf del Sur has its own medical centre and pharmacy easily accessible on the main road 5 mins by car or 10 mins on foot.

There are many bars and restaurants to suit all pockets and tastes within the immediate area, also a small nightclub and cabaret bar. The seafront area is very pretty in the evening where you can stroll along the walk ways or relax in one of the bars or many restaurants that offer fine dining.

A deposit of 30% of total cost is required to secure your booking, the final balance is due 8 weeks before departure, together with a refundable damages cheque of £100 returned to home address after on-site inspection completed. All deposits (except the damage cheque) are non refundable however are transferable to another rental period subject to availability.

The change over day is usually Friday but alternative days can be accommodated.

Outside: Large sunny enclosed terrace area with table and reclining chairs and sunbeds. There is also additional outdoor furniture consisting of a two seater settee and two chairs. We also have an on site private parking space in a secure underground car park. The shared swimming pool is heated and there is also a smaller shallow children's pool. Utility Room: Utility room with washing machine, iron and ironing board and a separate fully enclosed food storage area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen, towels, arrival & departure cleans are included, additional cleans can be arranged and paid on departure locally. On arrival you can access the apartment from 2pm and on departure vacate by 11am , unless alternative arrangement are agreed. Other: Separate dining area with glass table and chairs.
