About the Owner

I have been visiting North Yorkshire for over 25 years firstly with my husband and then also with our two children and have now realised a dream and purchased our own cottage to continue enjoying the delights of the Yorkshire Dales. The Dales is a place where we can come and de-stress as we all lead hectic lives. We are pleased to share our home from home with all that you would expect, to make your stay complete.

Honest owner

We had booked a stay and paid in full by a bank deposit, but at the last minute had to cancel when we discovered a passport had expired. The owner graciously refunded our full deposit. I wanted to put this as it certainly speaks highly of the integrity of the owner.

A lovely well equipped cottage in a fabulous location. Plenty of little friendly pubs with good menus and a couple of nice restaurants right on the doorstep. Parking right outside the cottage. Walks and countryside you only dream of. We will be going back.

Christmas get away

  • 5 of 5

We stayed over Christmas in this gorgeous typically Dales Cottage in Hawes and were not disappointed even though the weather was very wet. The cottage was indeed very quirky being spread over 3 floors and connected by little winding staircases. It was very comfortable, clean, welcoming & warm with extra little touches like the Christmas tree in the lounge and decorations placed around the cottage all of which showed how much the owners wanted you to enjoy your stay. The cottage is very well equiped with everything you could possibly ever need. The views from the windows are amazing especially from the first bedroom looking over Stag Fell & Buttertubs and from the lounge looking onto the High Street. There is so much to see and do, with awesome walks on your doorstep, lovely little shops, lots of eateries and of course the creamery. Hawes has always been very special to us, now even more so since finding this lovely Quirky Cottage which we will definately stay in again & again. We would certainly recommend this cottage to anyone, but would rather keep this little gem of a find to ourselves. Thank you Annette its beautiful.

Weekend away on the bike

  • 5 of 5

Cottage couldn't be better placed, right in the centre of the village. Gorgeous cottage with everything you'll need, full of character. Great to wake up to the views over the hills from the bedrooms. We wanted to make the most out of great roads for motorbikes and weren't disappointed, fantastic location for it. We didn't cook in the cottage cos great pubs on the doorstep aswell as takeaways bur it had everything you'd need if you wanted to cook. Clean and welcoming. Couldn't fault it and will be back. would recommend going into Richmond. White scar caves and aysgarth falls.

good location

  • 4 of 5

Location was very good. Good walks from the front door. Plenty of motor bikes around the cottage but you didn't hear them from inside but was nice to see. Had a good week for weather and did plenty of walking. Would use again if we wanted that area again.
