A lovely clean, tidy cottage with everything you'd need for a short break. Fantastic walks close by. Quiet location. We'll definitely use May Cottage again.

Excellent base for exploring the Peak District.

  • 5 of 5

Clean well maintained property in a perfect location for visiting the many attractions and walks the Peak District has to offer. Very close to Monsal Head which is stunning. Tideswell is pretty village and locals are welcoming.

We had everything we needed to make our trip a stress free experience.

Just be aware when visiting that parking is tricky as roads narrow and lots of cars are parked on the road so you may not always be able to park outside the cottage (particularly if late back). Not an issue but forewarned is forearmed (especially when you go and get your groceries😂)

......and don't forget your slippers the floor is cold......

We will definitely be returning with slippers and new walking boots as we wore ours out on this holiday!

Lovely cottage, lovely village.

  • 5 of 5

Everything supplied that was needed for the wk. Lovely cottage in a lovely, friendly village. Nice & quiet. Beautifull part of the UK. Central location for lots of walks & villages to explore. Only downside was the small courtyard, had to take the dog to nearby field for his toilet time. Would totally recommend this cottage.

Lovely cottage. Tea, coffee and chocolate digestive biscuits on arrival.

We were there when the weather was cold. Upstairs radiators not getting up to temp.
