Luxuriously furnished & fully equipped 2 bedroomed apartment in the heart of historic Lagos. Car not necessary. Bus station 2 minute walk away, train station 10 minute walk with restaurants & bars within easy walking distance. The Pingo Supermarket is on the doorstep and there is a fantastic cafe "Al Fresco" on the complex! The complex has an indoor heated pool as well as an outdoor pool, jacuzzi and a gym.

About the Owner

Myself and my late husband Wayne purchased this property off plan originally in 2006. It eventually completed in February 2010 when we set about furnishing and advertising it for holidays. We took a chance on it as we liked the location - close to the lovely town centre of Lagos, but in a quiet residential part with a supermarket a 2 minute walk away and easy access to the beaches and Marina. We spent as much time ourselves there as we could and used to spend about a month or so at Christmas there too. Following Wayne's sudden death early in 2015 I thought about selling it but couldn't bring myself to as I have such fond memories of it especially as Wayne absolutely loved it there and I have continued to use it myself since and consider Lagos my second home.

We stayed in this apartment for a week during the summer holidays with 2 children. The location is perfect being between the beach and the town. The apartment is finished to a high standard and is very well equipped, it was like staying in a home rather than a holiday let. It is well maintained and spotless, with the agent managing the property on the owners behalf providing a high level of customer service. This was truly enjoyable holiday and definitely somewhere we would revisit.

Doce Bliss

My partner and I (now fiancé after this holiday to my complete surprise) chose Portugal as our holiday destination to celebrate our Birthdays in August last year. Peak season, but wow was Doce Bliss worth it. Apologise to whoever took the photos, but they do not do this apartment justice!! It is even better when you get there. The place is so spacious and spotless. When we landed we called management to let them know we were on our way, and our hire car was ready and waiting for our first road trip to Lagos. By car it only takes about 30 - 45 minutes and is easy enough to find. On arrival at the apartment we were met by Cil (what a brilliant character!!) He was so friendly, showing us round the apartment and complex and explained how everything worked and where to find the beaches, shops, bars and restaurants before leaving us to continue our holiday. The apartment has everything and more. The shutters were our favourite gadget, these combined with the air con keep the apartment nice and cool especially in 35 + degree heat in the middle of August or if you are nursing a sore head.

The location is perfect. The apartment is walking distance to town, bars and restaurants, the harbour and beach, but far enough away to not hear any noise from these at night.

Most mornings we had breakfast in the Cafe adjacent to the complex. It is very reasonable and caters for all and we took advantage of their FREE WI-FI, however I have noticed that since our stay at Doce Bliss WI-FI is now available in the apartment.

There is an excellent local supermarket a stone’s throw away and all other amenities are within walking distance. Most evenings we walked into Lagos which has cobbled paths and streets which has an array of different restaurants and bars to enjoy. It can go off a little chilli at night so we would recommend you pack a cardi/sweeter for the evenings.

We would highly recommend Doce Bliss and cannot wait to go back soon (however next time it will be a family holiday as there will be three of us!!)

Great location - peaceful at night but just a short walk away from the local restaurants, shops, beaches and Marina.

10 minute walk to main beach, but many other beaches accessble by bus/taxi or walking. Porto do Mos beach 2 miles from apartment.


Faro airport approx 50 minute drive. Car hire is not necessary but a hire car can be arranged for you if required. Alternatively transport can be arranged for transportation to & from the airport upon prior request.


Luz is less than a 10 minute drive with its beautiful beach, Sagres on the South-West tip of Portugal is less than 30 minutes where you can visit the historic fort.

Further Details:

Local shops, bars, restaurants & banks all within a 5 minute walk of the apartment. Lagos has a pretty town centre, with cobbled streets and street cafes. Although only a short walk to all local amenities the apartment is situated in a quiet location. There is also a Pingo Doce supermarket next to the apartment complex. The Marina is a 5 minute walk away and the main beach a 10 minute walk (the local train station is located by the beach). There is also a bus station less than 5 minutes walk away with an excellent service.

Booking Notes:
Booking enquiries by way of email preferably or telephone.
A non-refundable Booking Deposit of 25% is required to secure a confirmed booking. The balance of 75% is to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival date.

A Security deposit of £150 is required against damage or cleaning issues. Fully refunded when Agent confirms all is well. This sum is payable with the 75% balance.

Flexibility on less than 1 week may be possible, especially out of the main season.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day flexible. Apartment to be vacated by 11.00 am.
Arrival 3.00 pm onwards.

Notes on prices:
Prices are based on occupancy of up to 4 people. An extra inflatable bed can be provided for a fifth guest upon request. There will be an extra charge to cover the additional cost of utilities and laundry.
