Two bedroomed Apartment in Llanca, Costa Brava, Spain in a Quiet Residential Street

This is a modern and comfortable air-conditioned apartment situated in a quiet residential street in the centre of the port area of Llanca. It is on the first floor of a two storey building with a total of five apartments. 300 metres to the right are a set of delightful and not so well known coves and 300 metres to the left, the busier port area with its beaches, restaurants and shops. Llanca is a small resort situated in the middle of the Cap Creus natural park not far from Cadaques. It is popular with local people but not so well known to European tourists. The area is stunningly beautiful and, with the exception of August, quiet.

About the Owner

I am English, but came to live in Catalonia in 1970, initially in Barcelona, but since we have been retired, we have moved to Finca Paraiso in Darnius in the Alt Empordà, about 150 kms. north of Barcelona.

I live in this beautiful place with my husband, Antonio and our labrador, Molly. We have three children between us and at the moment four grandchildren. We have plenty of visits from them all and from friends, so often have a full house.

We let apartments, here in Finca Paraiso (FR5274)*, but also have a flat in Llançà (S16872)* on the Costa Brava, so if you are looking for a combination of beach and countryside, that can easily be arranged.

My daughter, Harriet and I bought this property as we both love the beach and we thought it would be a good investment to have a convenient apartment in one of the more unspoilt Costa Brava resorts. Harriet and small daughter spend weekends and holidays here and I join them on the beach!

Special interest holidays:

Llançà has centres for diving and it is possible to rent boats.


300 metres to a set of delightful coves with both dark sand and pebbles. The coves are ideal for snorkling. 300 metres in the other direction to the wider, golden sandy port beach with a children's playground and bars and restaurants.


Airports: Gerona - 60 kms. Barcelona - 120 kms. Perpignan - 50 kms. TGV Railway station: Figueres - 20 kms. In order to explore the area you would need a car, but Llançà can be reached by train.

Further Details:

The apartment is within easy walking distance of beaches, bars, restaurants, banks, supermarkets and shops. All are within a range of 300 metres and although it is not completely flat, there are no steep hills to negotiate!

From the Owner

This northern part of the Costa Brava with the main resort of Rosas became popular in the 1960's when tourism began in Spain, but thankfully the main resorts developed further south, leaving this extremely beautiful corner for people from Barcelona and surrounding area. It is relatively unknown and now building is very restricted. In August it is full, but the rest of the year fairly quiet.

  • Outside: There are two terraces: one at the front overlooking the street and one at the back. Utility Room: In a small room at the end of the back terrace there is a washing machine, ironing board and the electric hot water tank. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels are provided, except for beach towels (which can be supplied on request). Towels and linen are changed weekly but cleaning only takes place at the end of the stay. Other: There is a small entrance hall with fitted cupboard. The apartment has air-conditioning and a space for one car in the underground car park.
