House in Selsey, West Sussex, England - Quiet Spot 10 Secs to Beach. Near Park and Shops, Butchers, Bakers Etc

Seagulls is Set on a large secluded corner plot just 50 yards from the beach this full of character property Is made up of 2 former railway carriages that have been expertly converted into a unique and very spacious 4 double bed 2 bath home with vast living accommodation see floor plan in picture gallery.....

The garden is totally private and enclosed allowing kids and dogs to run around safely it enjoys sun all day long.

Their is a large wicker style table and chairs for alfresco dinning and a charcoal BBQ

There are good sea views from the huge upstairs living room which has 3 large sofas for relaxing on with a good book and glass of wine or cup of tea whilst listening to the sea tumble over the shingle beach

The ground floor living space has a dinning table that can comfortably accommodate 8.A wood burning stove for chilly winter nights and a couple of comfy armchairs. We have freeview tv with dvd player small selection available and an I-pod docking station.

Selsey is a charming seaside village with all the usual amenities including 2 supermarkets good independent butchers/bakers several take away food outlets and a choice of pubs.

It is a 20 minute drive to Chichester or use the bus every 15 mins from East Beach. Chichester has some wonderful shops and its famous Cathedral Museum and art gallery in Pallant House.There is the Roman palace at Fishbourne.

Chichester has a railway station with regular direct trains to central London. Close by Portsmouth has many attractions including Gunwharf Quays with its fantastic array of outlet shops and Spinnaker tower.

The Goodwood estate is world famous for its events which include Revival.....Festival of Speed.....and horse racing.

There are 2 local golf clubs that welcome visitors one with large fun crazy golf course suitable for children and adults Pagham nature reserve is a short walk from the house and is managed by RSPB also close by is the newly formed Medmerry nature reserve

I just wanted to send you a quick email to thank you very much for our stay at your cottage. We had such a lovely time and we cant wait to come back ...if that's ok with you!!

The house was absolutely perfect and my dogs loved that the living room was upstairs (they aren't allowed upstairs at home!) There was everything we could wish for in the house and my bed was so comfy!

Selsey was perfect even in the blustery weather.



We shall definitely be back again. Absolutely perfect. Thank you so much!

Great stay at Seagulls.

We loved staying at Seagulls.

Very unique home, with cute décor, but plenty of space for a larger group. The welcome packet was a nice surprise and showed an attention to detail which is always good to have!

Shaun was very easy to work with over email correspondence.

We hope to stay again in the future.

Quirky and charming space for a family Christmas.

This was the perfect place to get together with family over Christmas. There was plenty of room for everyone and the wood burner created a lovely cosy space. The quirky bedrooms created lots of interest and suited our family set up perfectly. I was most impressed with the kitchen which was able to support cooking Christmas meals for 8 as well as storing plenty of food. The view of the sea from the upstairs window was unbeatable and it was a joy to be able to go down to the seafront every day. We could not have hoped for a better accommodation and the owners made sure it was decorated beautifully for us - it was extremely welcoming. I was truly sorry to leave at the end of our stay.

A total Gem!

This cottage was completely wonderful - the attention to detail and love lavished on the place was really fantastic - from the beautiful linen and towels to the fantastic Victoria Sponge (how many eggs to get it that fabulous??!!) that awaited us on our arrival - nothing could be have been better.

Just lovely

Fabulous place: clean, characterful, well-stocked and appointed. Perfect location about half a minute's walk from the sea and well-enclosed by high hedges with only one small gate, so great for families and for privacy. Good communication from the hosts and welcome scones on arrival! Couldn't have asked for more.

What a find!

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday in this comfortable and unique property. Everything you could want and more - well appointed house, a stones throw from the sea and a private well maintained garden. Correspondence from Shaun and Russell in the run up to our holiday was excellent and little touches such as homemade scones made it extra special. A hidden gem and we can't wait to return - thank you!

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday . Arrival time is 4pm and departure by 10. am . These times are negotiable if possible.

The £25.00 charge is per dog max of 2 allowed

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
